With this show I’m going to be looking back over my 2024 in music and then I will be looking ahead to 2025, what’s going to be big and what I’m looking forward to!
I have done this show for the last 3 years and I always really enjoy it. This year I’m going to be playing songs from many of my most listened to artists. Some companies actually pump millions of pounds into producing film industry standard adverts with top notch music to outdo their competitors and make you go to their store because you’ll be like they’re a good shop look how good their adverts are!

Welcome to the second installment of Eras, where we delve into a particular era of music in each episode. This edition is going to be focusing on the origins of punk taking you all the way back to where it all began, to the early 70s in New York and then all the way back to present day! In light of the recent AI advancements enabling the remaining members of The Beatles, Paul Mcartney and Ringo Starr, to complete a long lost song which John Lennon had partially recorded vocals on! AI was programmed to study John’s voice and then replicate it to complete the song! With that in mind I wanted to do a chart show from the week John Lennon was sadly taken from us, but it’s not going to be a sad show it’s going to be more of a celebration of a legend of the music industry!
The first part of the show is going to be a chart show from the 7th to the 14th of December 1980, playing a handpicked selection of songs from number 40 through to number 1, a whistle stop tour of a very emotional, very poignant and a moment in time that not only shook the music industry to it’s core but a moment that made the entire world stand still!
Then in the final part of the show I’m going to be playing around a dozen songs from the list of The Beatles 17 number 1 singles, at the end of the show I will be playing The Beatles’ brand new song and most likely their last ever song, Now and Then, let’s hope it is to be their 18th number 1!

Welcome to DJ Chappers’ 30th birthday show and he’s going to be doing his birthday shuffle, a show very similar to his on shuffle show a few weeks ago where DJ Chappers compiled a playlist of 3 songs from each year he’s been alive, that made 90 songs, he then pressed shuffle and played the first 26 songs from the order that the shuffle button chose at random!

Welcome to the 103rd show of Bounce FM, the 100th anniversary celebrations are still in full swing. We hope you’ve been enjoying our celebration shows, we started with the best bits party starter, then we had the Art of Podcasting Wheel Good Chat, last week we had a request show with all of your fantastic choices and now DJ JT and DJ Chappers got two more shows up their sleeves before the celebrations reach their climax!
This week we are doing a show called Format Swap where JT is going to be doing one of Chappers’ shows and Chappers is going to be doing one of JT’s shows!
In part one DJ JT has the reigns and he is going to be having a go at DJ Chappers’ Bounce FM Time Machine, where year 1950 through to 2022 are put into a time machine and it will choose a year at random, which it will take us back to, then whichever year it chooses we will play music from that time and you be given clues about what the particular year was famous for. All you have to is work out which year we have gone back to!
In part two DJ Chappers will take back the reigns and he’s going to be taking on DJ JT’s Grand Theft Wheelchair, so he’s going to be playing you a few songs from the video game soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The music of Vice City is as important as anything in the game. It provides the personality and backdrop to the action. The game is set in the 80s in a city much like Miami so as you can imagine all the cars, the fashion and all the music all fit together to make an 80s experience!

I will also have recommendations from one listener who has written in with their favourite songs and why they like them, which they would like to share.
The first guest in the studio and in ‘The Bounce FM Vinyl Swap Shop’ is my best friend Imogen Ford, who has recommended 10 cracking tracks. Also the first listener who has written in to ‘The Bounce FM Vinyl Swap Shop’ with their favourite songs is one of the day one listeners, my good friend Chris Jones who has a really good insight on music and therefore has chosen some fantastic songs. This week I’ve decided to put together a show featuring music from some of the best films, music that reminds me of sport and just generally great tunes from pop culture! I will also be playing some of my favourite tracks, not just indie music but an eclectic mix which I have overlooked of late. But I’m back and back with a bang. I will then be playing some Bounce FM classics and some DJ Chappers classics, which is where the real eclectic mix comes into it’s own! I’ve got some hip hop, club, electronic, indie, 80s, reggae, disco, soul, country, rock’n’roll, swing and the roaring 20s!
I lost my mojo for a while as I have been a bit stressed lately, but I’ve now sorted things, rearranged my head and I’m back in the game. This show is basically a celebration of all aspects of my life and my taste in music. DJ Chappers, is where my eclecticism comes from. I, is where the passion for my first love of music indie comes from. Bounce FM, is the culmination of DJ Chappers and myself teaming up to create Bounce FM. Today’s show is all about ’90s rock anthems, which seems to always be overlooked by the awesome pop, hip-hop and dance tracks that just took over the ’90s, but let’s not forget the rock, grunge, metal, indie and alternative genres of the 90s; music that is and was absolutely groundbreaking, its music that has shaped and moulded the music we still hear today, the music released all through the noughties, through the teens and now the 2020s. It still rumbles on, a lot of ’90s rock is still extremely relevant today, ’90s rock is timeless and it has and still does to this day inspire musicians; but don’t just take my word for it, listen to the influences in the songs of the likes of the following Arctic Monkeys, Libertines, The Frattellis, The Kooks, White Stripes, The Black Keys, Royal Blood, Sam Fender, The Reytons, The Lathums, the list goes on and like a line from The Lathums’ How Beautiful Life Can Be track says “If I’m to inspire, it’s by example not by greed” to me that means that The Lathums have taken inspiration from many other musicians, which you can hear predominantly through each of their songs, and I’m pretty sure in many years time The Lathums will be the inspiration for many future musicians, thus keeping the wheels of music turning and carry on the circle of making music, inspiration, new emerging talent, making music, inspiration, new emerging talent, and so on!

This week’s show is all about the music of Rockfield Studios, which is a recording studio just outside the village of Rockfield, Monmouthshire, Wales. so I’m going to be talking about the history of Rockfield, why it is so special and which massive artists recorded there.
In 1963 brothers Kingsley and Charles Ward converted an existing farmhouse into a recording studio by investing in an 8-track tape deck and sound proofed it. Then in 1965, they became the world's first residential studio, set up so that bands could come and stay in the peaceful rural surroundings to record. They have two studios, which are both set up for digital and analogue recordings.
The show is going to be very studded to say the least so you can expect to hear some cracking tracks from the likes of Ace, Queen, The Cult, The Icicle Works, Oasis and Coldplay. So please enjoy your journey back through the history of music!

Not just the issue I just mentioned but my health hasn’t been 100% lately as well, but nothing to worry about I think I have got to the bottom of it and I am back on the up.

I just love the sound of vinyl for me it just sounds so much better. The sound of the needle hitting the groove and the crackle as the record goes round makes me feel warm, fuzzy and happy!

But before you say oh superheroes I bet this is going to have some bad music, the thing with superhero movies is that they are not only great for all the action but they also have jaw droppingly good soundtracks.
With this podcast I aim to break down the misconceptions of superhero films just being for kids, I want to educate you all on the wonderful world of the superhero genre of films and how good their soundtracks are!
