Every Christian has a story, a testimony of how they came to God. But what is your story of how and why you stayed with God? We decided to ask Christians from different walks of life why they decided to follow God for themselves and what they do to stay committed to that decision--stay planted.
This week, Adwait and Anna are joined by Oli, the worship leader of Planted Music. Oli shares his testimony. how, through are hard and confusing season in his life, he came to God as his own God and Saviour. Oli shares his heart for worshipping a God he truly knows, not just One He knows about. He talks about the importance of worshipping God from a place of recognising who He is, not for show or to gain anything, but to honour and praise God because He is worthy.
This week, Anna and Adwait sit down with their friend, Hep, to. hear about the awesome things God has done in her life, and in her family's life, that led to her trusting in Jesus as her Saviour. Hep shares special stories of times God has gone before and behind her and proven to her that, in His presence, she is never alone. Hep also shares insight into the negative power seemingly harmless things can have over us when we allow ourselves to be addicted to them, rather than being fully surrendered and submitted to God. Things as simple as our phones, TV, relationships, work...anything can steal our focus from God and pull us away if we are not surrendered to God.
This week, Adwait and Anna are joined by their friend, Nick. He shares a stunning testimony of his journey to find answers that would lead him to truth -- which is Jesus Christ. Nick also shares that the reason he is still following Christ today, is because of Christ, Himself! He reminds us of the power of Christ's hold on those He saves and who are adopted and made friends of God. Nick also shares some wisdom and insight into the importance of evangelism for every Christian. May those who know the truth be empowered to share the truth!
This episode, Anna and Adwait interview one of their dearest friends and teammates, Hannah. Hannah shares the incredible testimony of how Jesus reached her heart and became Lord of it. Hannah delves into very real topics of identity, walking with Jesus in victory through mental illness, the risks of isolating ourselves in our faith, seeking God in the day to day challenges we face as Christians. They also explore the reality of not only seeking mere 'experiences' of God, but to seek a genuine day by day relationship with God.
We're back! Join Adwait and Anna as they interview their friend, Caitlin! Caitlin shares her powerful testimony of what God has done in her life, how she came to Jesus and recognised her need for Him as her Saviour. Caitlin dives into a more serious topic of pornography and her freedom she has found in Christ from it. She shares her wisdom and advice for young people in pursuing Jesus and surrendering to His plan for our lives. Caitlin is a missionary with Power to Change and shares her passion for student ministry.
This week, Adwait and Anna continue their chat with Ben and Laura. Ben and Laura share their story of hearing God’s call to follow Him. They discuss the doubts, the fears, the cost, the blessing and the peace. They also encourage us to step out and follow God, even at a cost. He has always got us safely in the palm of Him hand.
This week, Adwait and Anna welcome their pastor and Bible study leaders, Ben and Laura, to the podcast. Ben and Laura each share their personal testimonies of how they came to God individually, and reflect on how God intervened in their lives so powerfully, yet differently, according to what was best for each of them personally. They also share some wise advice as to how to remain faithful in your work with God as they reflect on their own journeys.
This week, Adwait and Anna welcome Anna's father, Scott, to the podcast to share his testimony of how he came to God and why he decided to continue following God now. Scott shares his story of how he and his family followed God's call to the other side of the world and back, and how God's instructions may not always make sense to us, but are so trustworthy. Scott talks about the importance of seeing the world as God sees it and how standing for what God says is right and true, can have an incredible impact on the world.
This week, Adwait and Anna welcome their good friend, Pieter, to share his testimony and what led to him deciding to follow God for himself. Pieter discusses the importance of community and church in encouraging your faith, but also of personal dedication to spending time with God and in His Word. Pieter shares his heart for reaching out to others that they might realise God's love for them through how he shows them love. He talks about the importance of letting God use you in whatever situation and asking Him to show you where you can have an impact for the Kindgom.
To kick off the first episode of season 2, Adwait and Anna welcome their friend, Jadon, who shares how God captured his heart and how that led to the establishment of his own faith. Jadon discusses how he realised his need to continually choose God, and shares the difference in his own life when He decides to follow God. Jadon also talks about our walks of faith as continual journeys fo growth and how our testimonies are constantly changing as God leads us around each new corner.
For the final episode of Season One, Adwait and Anna look back on God's faithfulness through this series and some highlights from each of their guests. They then walk us through the significance of the title--Double Testimony. They explore what a testimony is, why it matters, and the impact is should have on your life.
This week, Adwait and Anna slowly draw near to the end of season one as Anna shares her own testimony. She shares the impact her parents example of living out their faith had on her realising the presence of God in her own life. However, she also discusses the need for her faith to extend beyond her parents' decisions. She also shares the effects of seeing some of her own generation slip away from following God had on her own growth. She discusses the importance of cultivating a faith that lasts permanently and grows daily. This is not easy, and requires intention and effort, but is worth SO much.
This week, Adwait and Anna are joined by their friend, Zac, who talks about the wonderful reality of Almighty God as our 'Dad.' Zac shares the importance of following God and choosing to know Him as our Dad in front of anyone. No situation or person should change our passion for our Dad. Zac also discusses the power of leading people towards God in your youth, and the importance of seeking Him in the little, behind-the-scenes moments and not just in front of an audience.
This week, Adwait was joined by his good friend, Jordan, who shares the importance of clinging to God even when we are going through tough times and life is not turning our as we expected. Jordan talks about the difference between just knowing things about God, and actually experiencing the fullness of God. This can only happen as we get to know God and let Him reveal His goodness to us. Jordan discusses the importance of intentionally seeking God in the times we do not actually feel like it. It is in these times, as we intentionally draw near to God, that He draws near to us (James 4:8).
This week, Adwait and Anna are joined by their friend, Cara, who talks about how God has given each of us a different testimony. It is impossible to compare these differences because they are so powerful in their own, unique ways. Cara touches on the joy and wonder of being known and loved by Jesus Christ, and how this should impact our lives, even in the small things. No part of our lives is insignificant to God, and He wants to use all of it. Cara points out that you don't have to be doing big things for God all the time. Often, God calls us to follow Him quietly and humbly, and to reach out to our own communities and circles, that only we can reach. He has an ultimate plan in everything, and you have not been overlooked.
This week, Anna is joined by one of her good friends and role models, John, who discusses the reality of slowly fading away from Christ when your life becomes focused on the things of this world. John points out that no matter where you are at with God, He has a plan to draw you back. God sees you, and is calling to you. You need only turn back to Him. John also talks about the importance of looking into Christianity for yourself, and not just following the crowd. He quotes Matthew 7:13-14, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." What an incredible joy to find it!
This week, Adwait and Anna are joined by Anna's uncle, Ant, who discusses the importance of imitating Christ in how we live, love and point others to Him. Ant talks about his time spent in the navy and his decision to "pick a team" when in an environment that was not supportive of his faith. Ant points out the heart of God for His children, and the fact that we so often assume that we have disappointed God, rather than celebrating the joy of grace freely lavished upon us. As we seek to be 'planted' we should never forget to love as Jesus loved, but also to trust from the very core of our being, that we, ourselves, are so loved by God.
This week, Adwait and Anna are joined by their friend Bec who discusses the beauty and how of being a child of God. She points out the complete awe of salvation, and the desperate need we each have for Jesus. It is so easy to lose sight of what Jesus has done for us when we are used to the idea of Him. However, Bec points out that we can only be made whole when we recognise how much we need God, and run to Him to be saved and loved. As we seek to follow God, and to be 'planted,' we should never forget the utter joy of being found. All we need is HIM.

One big part of being 'planted' in your faith is putting in effort and commitment, even if you don't always feel like it. Jaydee brings up some awesome points about turning your faith into action, and putting aside time dedicated to growing closer to God.
