Do you find yourself constantly racing through your to-do list, unable to sit still without a nagging voice whispering that you’re wasting time?

In this episode of Unblocked, I pull back the curtain on "survival mode" - the default state of chronic urgency that tricks our brains into treating everyday chores like immediate threats. Using a rainy Saturday morning and an urgent urge to trim my neighbor's bushes as a backdrop, I break down how anxiety masks itself as productivity.

Learn how to recognize your own mental loops, choose reflection over force, and finally break free from the habit of rushing through life just to get to the "living" part.

You don't need a life overhaul to shift from survive to alive. You need one pause.

You know what you need to do. Leave the relationship. Start the business. Set the boundary. Apply for the promotion. Stop outsourcing your worth to everyone else's opinion.

So why hasn't it happened yet?

It's not a knowledge problem. It's interference.

In this episode I break down the two channels running in your head and why the gap between knowing and doing is really just a volume problem.

I walk through the four things I'm always listening for when a client is stuck:

  • Should vs. want
  • The belief running the show underneath the task
  • The emotion you haven't let yourself feel
  • Whether you actually have support and structure in place

Then I give you four questions to ask yourself today to find out which one's got you.

If you finish this thinking "she's describing me," that's your sign. Book a consult using the link HERE.

You've done the therapy. You've read the books. You can name your patterns, trace them back to childhood, and explain exactly why you do what you do.

And you're still doing it.

If any of that sounds familiar, this episode is for you.

Today I'm answering five listener questions. What I didn't realize until I recorded is that all of them are really asking the same thing: why doesn't knowing something actually change it?

Turns out, the gap between knowing and doing isn't an information problem. It's a thought problem, and that changes everything about how you approach it.

Questions answered in this episode:

  • I've been in therapy for years and I know all my patterns. But knowing them doesn't seem to change them. What am I missing?
  • How do I rebuild trust with myself after I've broken a promise to myself so many times that I've stopped believing I'll follow through?
  • I'm successful by every external measure but I feel like a fraud. I keep waiting for someone to figure out that I don't actually know what I'm doing. Is this ever going to go away?
  • How do you actually rest without feeling lazy? I can't seem to turn off the part of my brain that thinks I should be doing something.
  • I know what I want. I even know what I need to do. But I just...don't do it. Whyyyyyy?

You submitted your questions. I answered them honestly.

This is a full Ask Me Anything episode, and we went there. From how I distinguish fear from intuition, to the mindset trap I still fall into, to the question I think a lot of high-achievers are too afraid to ask out loud: if my life is already good, why do I still want more?

If you've ever felt guilty for having big dreams, or wondered if something is wrong with you for not feeling satisfied, this episode is going to hit.

Questions answered in this episode:

  • What's something you've changed your mind about in the last five years?
  • How do you know when it's intuition, fear, ego, or just a really convincing thought?
  • What's a mindset trap you still catch yourself falling into?
  • How do you pursue big dreams without becoming obsessed with achievement?
  • If someone feels stuck but can't identify what's actually blocking them, where should they start?
  • What's one belief you had to let go of to create the life you have today?
  • What do you do when you know what you want but you're terrified of what other people will think?
  • If my life is already good, why do I still feel called to want more?

I have a rule: if somebody's going to be disappointed by my decisions, let it not be me.

In this episode, I'm talking about one of the most common reasons smart, capable people hold back — the fear of being disappointed. Aka, a feeling.

Protecting yourself from disappointment doesn't actually protect you. It just moves the disappointment earlier. You're already deciding you can't have what you want.

In this episode I cover:

  • Why "lowering your goal so you're not disappointed" is still disappointing yourself
  • The real questions to ask when you're holding back
  • My SPACE framework for actually feeling your feelings
  • The thought work piece
  • Why "having your back" is one of the most strategic things you can do

You're watching someone else do the thing you want to do, and they're doing it better than you. So your brain, being your brain, lands on "well, that must mean I suck."

In this episode, I unpack why comparison doesn't have to mean what you think it means and why "they're better than me" doesn't have to end with "so I'm terrible."

In this episode you'll hear my personal example plus the client conversation that sparked the whole episode.

What you'll take away:

  • Why someone being better at something than you doesn't mean you're not good
  • How to use comparison as data instead of a problem
  • The question to ask yourself before you go looking for what they do better
  • Why zero-sum thinking tanks your growth

If comparison tends to put you in a spiral, this one's for you.

A few weeks ago, my guest and I were in the same room in Austin for Rachel Hollis's Rise Elevate conference. Today we're unpacking what actually happened including the honest parts that not every would say out loud.

This is a real conversation between two women who showed up nervous, got cracked open, and came home with more than they expected.

IN THIS EPISODE:

  • What it actually feels like to walk into a room full of strangers and try to be brave...even when you're a confident, high-achieving woman
  • The writing exercise that created an aha moment
  • Why Rachel pricing drama is one of the most relatable things she shared from stage and what it means for every woman who's ever undercharged
  • "There are no fairy godmothers," Asia's keynote philosophy and the 2026 goal she called out loud
  • What actually keeps the conference magic alive after you go home -- It's less sexy than you think
  • "Something doesn't have to be wrong for it to not be right for you" -- a note on outgrowing rooms, relationships, and containers

You submitted the questions. I answered them, including one I had to coach myself through two hours before hitting record.

This episode covers four listener questions on the stuff that actually keeps people stuck: the cycle of chasing confidence through goals that never deliver it, people-pleasing that survives every book and podcast and therapy session, how coaches get out of their own heads, and what to do when life feels too good to be true.

IN THIS EPISODE:

  • Why saying "I am a people pleaser" is part of what's keeping you stuck
  • Arrival Addiction: why you cannot out-perform or out-achieve a feeling, and what to do instead
  • Thoughts that create people-pleasing behaviors and the thoughts that don't
  • How I coached myself through a real spiral today using the thought model I teach
  • What to do when life feels too good to be true

You started strong. Then something didn't go the way you hoped and before you made a single conscious decision, you had already pulled back.

That moment is where goals go to die, and I don't think we're talking enough about it.

In this episode, I'm breaking down the Pursuit Cycle. This is the four-phase framework I use inside my coaching practice, and I'm showing you exactly where most people fall out of it.

What You'll Learn:

  • The single most dangerous moment in any pursuit
  • Why your brain treats every setback like a verdict on your worth and how to interrupt it
  • The Pursuit Cycle: Bold Action → Intentional Belief → Deep Learning → Iteration
  • Why going back to action before you clean up your belief is the mistake that keeps the loop going
  • How to shorten the time you spend outside the cycle every time you fall out of it

The world spent years telling you what to think. Today, we talk about how to think and why learning this one skill changes everything. I'll walk you through the S.T.E.A.R. framework I use with all my coaching clients. This is a step-by-step tool for understanding how your thoughts are literally creating your results, and how to interrupt the patterns keeping you stuck. If you've ever spiraled, over-analyzed, or talked yourself out of something you really wanted, this episode is for you.

What You'll Learn

  • Why most of us were educated but never taught to think, and what that costs us
  • The critical difference between a situation and a thought (and why mixing them up is keeping you stuck)
  • How your brain builds evidence for whatever story you already believe
  • The S.T.E.A.R. framework: a step-by-step coaching tool for changing your mental loops
  • How the highest performers manage the space between what happens and what they make it mean

This episode feels different.

If you’ve been listening this year, you know I’ve been shifting the format of Unblocked. I want these conversations to feel less like interviews and more like real life. Friends around a table. Honest wrestling. Communion over conclusions. And that’s exactly what this episode is.

I’m joined by Reverend Mary Hahn and Jamie Bell Showmaker for a conversation about faith, spirituality, Christianity, ego, worthiness, and a question that many of us grapple with:

How do we know what’s actually true?

We talk about:

  • Growing up inside rigid religious frameworks
  • Questioning without abandoning God
  • The tension between spiritual texts and inner knowing
  • What it means to be “fully human and fully divine”
  • Why worthiness can feel dangerous
  • Ego, humility, and the stories we inherit about ourselves
  • Whether truth lives in a book or inside us

This is three women talking honestly about their journeys with God and sitting in the discomfort of not having neat answers.

If you’ve ever felt like the “truth” you were taught was incongruent with the truth within, wondered where to go for answers, or wrestled with your own worthiness, this conversation is for you.

I don’t know where this episode will land for you. But I trust that if you’re here, something in it is meant for you.

We hear it all the time. “You just need to move on.” But what if moving on is not actually what creates healing?

In this episode, I explore the difference between moving on and moving forward, and why this distinction matters so much when you have lived through something painful, meaningful, or life-shaping.

Moving on often implies erasing, minimizing, or trying to be unaffected by what happened. Moving forward is different. It is integrative. It allows you to carry the wisdom while releasing the weight.

I share how unprocessed experiences do not disappear just because time passes, and how real healing comes from allowing an experience to have a place without letting it define your future.

You will also learn the three-step process I teach for moving forward in a grounded, practical way:

  • The Extraction Process — identifying what you are taking with you
  • The Release Process — letting go of what was never yours to carry
  • The Integration Process — allowing the experience to inform how you live now

We also explore why forgiveness is often misunderstood, and how it naturally unfolds when integration has occurred rather than being something you force.

If you have ever wondered why something from your past still carries emotional charge, or how to move forward without bypassing what mattered, this episode will meet you there.

Life does not always fall apart in neat, Instagram-worthy ways.

Sometimes it blindsides you. Sometimes it knocks the air out of you. Sometimes it leaves your nervous system spinning and your mind searching for answers.

In this episode I break down what coaching actually does for you when life kicks you in the junk — not by avoiding pain, but by helping you stay self-led inside of it.

I share how I personally navigated a recent season I did not ask for, and the exact mindset and emotional tools that made it possible to stay grounded, connected, and clear when nothing felt easy.

This episode is not about positive thinking or fixing yourself. It is about learning how to work with your thoughts and emotions instead of letting them run your life.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • Why painful experiences do not mean you are doing life wrong
  • How coaching helps you stay self-led during hard seasons
  • The difference between facts and the stories your brain tells
  • Why “neutral” does not mean harmless or okay
  • How to observe your thoughts and emotions without being consumed by them
  • Why mindset work does not mean avoiding hard feelings
  • How to feel emotions safely instead of suppressing or fixing them
  • The difference between respecting a thought and agreeing with it
  • Why not every thought deserves your obedience
  • The powerful question that brings you back to yourself when everything feels confusing

Key takeaway:

You do not need to eliminate hard thoughts or emotions to move forward. You need the ability to stay with yourself, supervise your mind, and choose how you respond — one situation, one thought, one feeling, one choice at a time.

That is what coaching builds.

In this episode, I’m trying something new.

This is the first Ask Me Anything episode under the new 2026 format, and I’m answering real, anonymous questions submitted on Instagram.

I talk about how to navigate the gap between the life you imagined and the life you’re living. I walk through how I use the STEAR model to separate neutral facts from the stories we tell ourselves, and how unexamined thoughts can quietly turn grief into suffering.

I also answer questions about feeling stuck, fulfillment in your career, redefining success, and one belief I had to unlearn in order to truly help others.

If you have a question you’d like answered in a future Ask Me Anything episode, I invite yours today. Send me a DM @jessicasmarro on Instagram or Facebook, or send your questions to jessica@jessicasmarro.com. Your question might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.

This episode is a personal reflection and reset. I’m looking back on 2025 through the lens of my word of the year, unimaginable, and sharing what surprised me most, what stretched me, and what I’m genuinely proud of.

I also pull back the curtain on what’s changing as I head into 2026. You’ll hear how I’m rethinking the structure and rhythm of the Unblocked podcast.

I share my new word of the year for 2026 and what it means for how I want to live, create, and lead moving forward. I talk about holding goals lightly, following the next right step even when the path is unclear, and choosing growth because of who you become along the way.

This episode is an invitation to reflect on your own year, notice what you created and how you created it, celebrate yourself more fully, and to step into what’s next with curiosity instead of pressure.

If you’re feeling called to pause, reset, and move forward with more intention, this conversation is for you.

In this episode of Unblocked, I sit down with Jena Lorén, also known as The Consciousness Architect, for a powerful conversation about ego, alignment, and identity shifts.

Jena shares her personal journey through trauma, survival patterns, and major life transitions, and how those experiences shaped the work she does today. We talk about how ego forms as a protective mechanism, how it quietly runs our decisions, and why so many ambitious women feel successful on the outside but misaligned on the inside.

We explore the four Egoic Archetypes, the Realist, Rebel, Martyr, and Illusionist, and how learning to pause, reflect, and respond instead of react can create real freedom. This episode is a reminder that living an unblocked life is not about adding more tools or fixing yourself. It is about removing the blocks to the awareness of who you already are.

Today’s episode is a special one. I hand the mic over to my friend Angela for a deep, no-holding-back conversation about my book In Pursuit. We get into the writing process, the messy middle, the self-abandonment patterns we carry, and what it really takes to live a life that feels like home to yourself.

This isn’t an interview as much as it is a soul-level conversation between two coaches about purpose, discomfort, emotional mastery, and the wild courage required to become who you were meant to be. If you’ve ever felt like you were “living in black and white,” chasing the next achievement, or waiting for the rulebook that everyone else seems to have…this episode is for you.

In This Episode, We Explore:

  • The limiting beliefs and inner narratives I had to rewrite in order to write In Pursuit
  • What “the prison” looks like and how to know when you’re living in it
  • Understanding the Arrival Fallacy and Arrival Addiction
  • Why so many of us abandon ourselves on the way to our goals
  • The nervous-system side of people-pleasing, boundaries, and emotional discomfort
  • How to stop outsourcing your worth and start building self-trust
  • What it truly means to succeed without abandoning yourself
  • What I’m personally “in pursuit” of right now
  • What it means to live an unblocked life

In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Zach Wright, a former Green Beret turned physician at Framework Wellness, who brings an unconventional yet deeply practical approach to health and healing.

We explore how Zach’s experience as a Special Forces medic shaped his philosophy of medicine into one rooted in curiosity, adaptability, and going upstream to find the real cause of suffering. We talk about what happens when we stop chasing “the one right answer,” how black-and-white thinking blocks our healing, and why true health means learning to live in the gray.

You’ll hear us unpack everything from protein, sleep, and stress to the mindset shifts that move you from surviving to thriving. Zach shares small, high-impact actions you can start today to reset your nervous system, lower stress, and support your body’s natural ability to heal.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the “right” things but still not feeling your best, this conversation will give you hope, direction, and a few laughs along the way.

Letting go sounds beautiful in theory…until you’re the one standing in the middle of it. Even when we know it’s time for change, transitions can be messy, emotional, and full of uncertainty.

In this episode of Unblocked, I sit down with Katie Pulsifer, Master Certified Coach and mentor to thousands of coaches, for a real, honest, and deeply human conversation about what it takes to move through change without losing yourself in the process.

We talk about:

  • Why transitions are so emotionally charged (even when they’re right for us)
  • How to tell the difference between fear and intuition
  • What self-leadership really looks like in everyday life
  • How to stop letting urgency lead the way
  • And the power of living as your Whole, Wise, and Worthy self

Katie’s wisdom is equal parts grounded and practical. She doesn’t sugarcoat the process. She tells the truth about what it takes to lead yourself with grace, compassion, and courage, even in the in-between.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, uncertain, or scared to let go of something familiar, this episode will remind you that discomfort doesn’t mean you’re off-path. It means you’re evolving.

In this episode, I’m joined by health and self-leadership coach Courtney Townley for a conversation that will challenge everything you think you know about consistency, health, and personal growth.

Courtney has spent nearly three decades helping women cut through the noise of wellness culture and reconnect to themselves through self-trust, not self-control. Her new book, The Consistency Code: A Midlife Woman’s Guide to Deep Health and Happiness, offers a powerful framework for creating alignment, resilience, and peace from the inside out.

We talk about what it means to live in integrity, how to recognize and heal what Courtney calls “integrity pain,” and why the ability to fail well might be one of the most important skills we can ever learn. We also explore how self-awareness and compassion can coexist with discipline and devotion, and how that blend of grace and grit is the key to true, lasting change.

In this episode, I sit down with Certified Hypnotherapist and Intuitive Guide, Lynnsey Robinson, to explore the power of the subconscious mind and how it shapes every thought, emotion, and action we take. Lynnsey helps ambitious women all over the world clear subconscious blocks so they can embody their highest potential and manifest their deepest desires.

We talk about what the subconscious actually is, how hypnotherapy works, and why “self-sabotage” is really just misguided protection from an outdated program. Lynnsey breaks down how to align your conscious goals with your subconscious beliefs, why unknown success can feel as scary as failure, and how to teach your subconscious that growth and abundance are safe.

If you’ve ever wondered why you get stuck repeating patterns or why some goals feel out of reach no matter how hard you try, this episode will help you see what’s really happening beneath the surface and how to reprogram your mind for the life you want.

How you got here is less important than what you do next.

That single sentence captures the heart of this week’s conversation with Jeremy Stalnecker. Jeremy is a former Marine Corps Infantry Officer, author, speaker, and the Executive Director of the Mighty Oaks Foundation - a nonprofit helping veterans, first responders, and families heal from trauma and rediscover purpose.

In this episode, Jeremy and I talk about what happens when your identity is built around what you do and that chapter suddenly ends. He shares openly about his own spiral after leaving the Marine Corps, losing his sense of self, and how he found his way back through faith, humility, and the people who were willing to tell him the hard truth.

We unpack what it means to take radical responsibility for your life, how to begin again after failure or loss, and why leadership is never about control.

We also explore the difference between purpose and profession, what it really means to forgive and surrender, and how to stay the course when transformation takes longer than expected.

If you’ve ever felt stuck between who you were and who you’re becoming, this conversation will remind you that the next step is always available.

It’s here!!!

My new book In Pursuit is officially out in the world, and in this bonus episode I’m giving you a taste of what’s inside.

So many of us are living in what I call the Prison - chasing approval, checking the boxes, proving our worth. Life looks fine on paper, but inside it feels gray and numb.

This book (and this episode) is for you if:

  • You’ve done everything “right” but still don’t feel fulfilled
  • You’re exhausted from performing instead of living
  • You’re waiting for the next goal to finally flip the switch and make you feel enough
  • You’re ready to stop fixing yourself and start coming home to yourself

In In Pursuit, I walk you through three powerful movements:
The Prison - seeing what’s been keeping you stuck
The Path - learning to quiet the critic and practice self-loyalty
The Pursuit - creating a life that feels alive, aligned, and fully YOU

I’ll read a few excerpts, share my story, and give you a clear picture of why this book matters right now.

👉 In Pursuit is available now in paperback and Kindle on Amazon. Grab your copy today and join me in this movement to stop proving and start living.

What does it really mean to be free?

In this episode of Unblocked, I sit down with Caverly Morgan—spiritual teacher, author, nonprofit founder, and one of 2025’s most powerful women in the mindfulness movement. With a background that includes eight years in a silent Zen monastery and the creation of the nation’s first for-credit mindfulness program in public high schools, Caverly brings profound wisdom to the conversation on awakening, belonging, and liberation.

Together, Jessica and Caverly explore:

  • How Caverly’s SNAP framework helps us notice and disidentify from the stories that keep us stuck
  • What she learned from eight years of monastic life and how those lessons translate into everyday modern living
  • The power of neti neti (“not this, not this”) and the realization that we are more than our thoughts, emotions, or identities
  • Why true freedom isn’t something to achieve but something you can never lose... your very being

This conversation is a grounding, soul-expanding reminder that you are not separate from life, love, or truth. You’ve never left home.

Are you the bottleneck in your own business or life?

In this episode of Unblocked, I sit down with Joe Patneaude, creator of the STAR Scalability Method, to unpack why so many high-performers unknowingly build businesses that drain them instead of freeing them. For 15 years, Joe has been coaching leaders in financial services to scale smarter, delegate with clarity, and build teams that align with their values, not just their bottom line.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re carrying your entire business on your back, or you’re stuck in “do more, be more” mode, this conversation is your wake-up call. Joe shares how the STAR Method helps business owners shift from solo-grinding to strategic scaling, without losing control of what matters most. Joe drops powerful insights on leadership, scalability, and unlearning outdated success strategies that are keeping you stuck.

What if someone else having a hard feeling didn’t mean you did something wrong, and what if connection didn’t require perfection but honesty?

  • How your thoughts about a relationship shape your entire experience of it
  • A simple reframe to move from guilt to curiosity when someone’s upset
  • What to say when you’re afraid honesty might cause disconnection
  • How to take 100% responsibility for your 50% of the relationship

This episode is for anyone who’s been walking on eggshells, craving connection but afraid of rocking the boat. If you’ve ever asked, “What if I’m too much?” or “What if this ruins everything?” this one’s for you.

Sometimes the most courageous act isn’t holding on, it’s letting go.

In this powerful episode of Unblocked, I sit down with Hannah Rose — Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, speaker, consultant, founder of Rose Wellness Counseling, and former Survivor 45 contestant — to explore when walking away is the bravest, most self-honoring move you can make.

Hannah is no stranger to bold pivots. On national TV, she stood up at Tribal Council and chose to leave the game, a decision that unleashed a flood of public judgment and shame, but it also sparked profound personal growth.

In this conversation, we talk about:
✨ How to know when quitting is an act of self-trust, not self-betrayal
✨ The difference between quitting on yourself vs. quitting for yourself
✨ Why shame keeps us stuck and how to break free from it
✨ The sneaky trap of "gratitude shaming"
✨ Why she believes "serial quitting" can actually be a superpower
✨ How mindfulness, boundaries, and radical self-ownership shape her decisions
✨ The one question to ask yourself when you're on the edge of a big decision

Hannah brings fierce honesty and hard-won wisdom to this conversation and reminds us that quitting can be one of the most liberating, aligned choices we ever make.

If you’ve been told to stick it out, muscle through, or never quit, this episode is your permission slip to reframe what it really means to choose yourself.

In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Kevin Mays - executive coach, founder of Mays Leadership, and a trusted guide to some of the nation’s top leaders. With a background in behavioral science, leadership development, and organizational consulting, Kevin helps high-impact individuals strengthen their leadership from the inside out.

And that’s exactly what this conversation is about.

Too many people are trained to manage what’s happening "out there," the deadlines, the clients, the optics, the performance. But they never learned how to manage what’s happening "in here," their thoughts, their patterns, their internal experience.

Dr. Mays brings deep wisdom, grounded strategy, and lived experience to these questions. Together, we explore:

  • Why leadership starts with self-awareness
  • The root of burnout and how to dissolve it through presence
  • How perfectionism, people-pleasing, and performance can become traps for leaders
  • The difference between cognitive awareness and embodied awareness (and why both matter)

You’ll also hear about Dr. Kevin’s personal breaking point and how it shaped the way he now teaches leaders to access their full humanity.

In today’s episode, I’m addressing a listener’s reaction to my discussion on B-minus work and why this concept is so misunderstood. If you’ve ever struggled with perfectionism or felt like you couldn’t put something out into the world unless it was flawless, this episode is for you.

We’ll explore why perfectionism is not the same as excellence, how it actually slows us down, and why allowing B-minus work can lead to better results, less stress, and more impact.

And of course, we’ll talk about when A+ work is necessary (because no one wants "B-minus" brakes on their car!) and how to strike the right balance between high standards and actually getting things done.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • The difference between excellence and perfectionism
  • How perfectionism slows down productivity, innovation, and decision-making
  • Why B-minus work leads to more success than perfectionism ever could
  • How to shift your mindset from overthinking to action
  • Practical strategies for applying B-minus work in business and life

How often do you catch yourself saying, “I’m such a perfectionist,” but not as a complaint, more like a humblebrag? It’s time to get real: perfectionism is not a badge of honor. It’s not helping you strive for excellence. It’s holding you back.

In this episode, we’re diving into the truth about perfectionism:

  • Why it’s rooted in fear, not ambition.
  • How it sneaks into your life disguised as a virtue.

My friends!!! Please join me in celebrating 100 episodes of the Unblocked podcast!!!

As I was reflecting on this milestone and celebrating all the value, content, connection, creativity, and transformation that has happened over these 100 episodes I was reminded of the value and importance of CELEBRATING PROGRESS.

Doing a look back on how far we've come is an excellent tool for helping us get unstuck and build belief that what we want is possible. It reminds us that there were other times in our lives that we did something we'd never done before. It reminds us that there were other times when we didn't think we could and WE DID IT.

Taking time to reflect on and celebrate progress also helps us see growth we may have missed if we had only focused on the distance between where we are and where we want to go.

If you want a coach to help support you in your goals and remind you to look for evidence of your progress, I'd be honored to be that coach. Go to jessicasmarro.com to set up a free consult call and we can see if my coaching program is the right fit to help you on your journey.

Also, as promised in the episode HERE is the link to the FREE digital copy of The Unblocked Journal. Feel free to use this for your success tracking journal!

I'm so grateful to all of you who have been on this journey with me. In celebration of the pod, please share this widely, and be sure to subscribe so that you don’t miss an episode.

Also, please take a moment to rate and review the podcast. Tell me what you loved. Feedback, ideas, and praise are welcome.

Today's episode covers what success shame is, how it shows up in your life, and tips on how to free yourself from success shame and stop playing small in your life.

Overcoming success shame requires a combination of self-reflection, mindset shifts, and intentional actions. The process isn’t for the faint of heart. She teaches her clients the same holistic process that she, herself, used to lose 50 lbs almost seven years ago. Her purpose now is to lead a movement of people who are truly connecting with themselves, who are able to know and own their authentic desires, and support them in discovering the courage and conviction to step into those desires so that they can feel good, not just in their bodies, but in their whole BEING.

Hey friends! In this episode, I have a candid conversation about a recent experience in developing trust.

Trust can be a tricky thing for some.  I don't struggle to trust other people, but turns out I have some blocks around trusting that I will have what I need when I need it.

Take a listen for what feels like a breakthrough in trust for me.

This episode is an example of what happens with coaching.  We tend to the soil of our minds so that seeds planted can grow into the fruits of our labor.  The learning, growth, and transformation don't always happen immediately.  But we create an inner landscape that is ready when the time is right.  Go to jessicasmarro.com to start your journey.

It's time to witness and un-shame our humanity.

Kierkegaard told us that life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced. The same holds true for us. We are a reality to be experienced.

In the self-help movement, some of us lost the "self" we were intending to help.

This episode is an invitation to shift the focus from fixing yourself to getting to know yourself. We are a 1 in 400 trillion reality to be experienced.

It's time to shift from judging, changing, fixing, improving yourself to knowing and experiencing yourself, ALL of yourself. There is space in the world for a human being that is shaped like you, looks like you, acts like you. And if it doesn't seem like there is, you get to create and claim it!

As you listen to this episode, some of you will feel this in your bones. You’re longing to know you. You’re yearning to touch on self-acceptance, self-like, self-love but it feels out of reach.

That’s what I’m here for. We can’t see all of it when we’re in it and that's not a problem. I got you. Say yes to giving yourself the gift of YOU. Let’s work together to create the story you tell of you to be one that feels true and worthy. Go to jessicasmarro.com right now and schedule your free call.

There is an opportunity to squeeze learning, growth, awareness, and meaning out of all of life's experiences.  This gets missed when we are busy making ourselves, others, and events "wrong."

Tune in for reflections on how to reframe the story in a way that serves you and supports who you were here to be.

As you listen, there is a good chance you will get hit in ALL of your feels.  That means something is telling you that it is time to repurpose your life experiences to cultivate who you are here to be.  Do yourself a favor.   Go to jessicasmarro.com right now to set up your free consult call.  Let today be the start of the journey where you embrace who you are here to be.

Recording this episode was a fun treat, a gift of sorts, so it feels right to have it release on Christmas Day.

In this episode, the eldest Smarro boy is making an appearance. I am joined by 15-year-old Gavin Smarro.

As parents, it's easy to get caught up in the role of caretaker, teacher, molder, and director of children. While there is certainly a time and place for all of that, we don't want to miss out on exploring the personality, ideas, and perspectives that exist inside the young people we have under our care.

In this episode, we talk about blended families, being a teen in the age of social media, entrepreneurship and more.

Tune in for some fun, connection, and a reminder to take time to delight in the young people in our lives.

If this episode triggers some thoughts and feelings about your relationship with your kids and you want to explore that further, go to jessicasmarro.com to schedule a free call with me.

For some, self-love is a bit of a mystery or feels like an impossible goal.  If the starting point is self-loathing, it completely makes sense that self-love would seem out of the question.

In today's episode, I talk about recalibrating the goal to adjust the focus toward building a relationship with ourselves rather than trying to jump straight into love.  Settle in for a conversation on getting to know yourself, adjusting how you talk and think about yourself, and rethinking the story about relationship to self.  Click link in bio to listen.

Allow me to introduce you all to Cassondra Preer Taylor. She is an entrepreneur, decorated military veteran, and a business woman with a highly awarded corporate career. While all of that is impressive, it doesn't hold a candle the experience of her presence. In today's episode, she shares a bit of that with us.

Cassondra was remarkably close to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Witnessing people's "ledge" moments that day, Cassondra found herself considering what they might be contemplating as they were faced with the realities of 911. She reflected on the things that would be left undone and unexperienced for them. Questioning what she was putting off for "later," she wondered - what am I waiting for?

Tune into this episode for a conversation that explores the things we put on hold and why.

This episode was partially inspired by a quote from author Glennon Doyle.  She writes "...is love not a feeling but a place between two people?  A sacred place created when two people decide it's safe enough to let their real selves surface and touch each other?..."  Relationships provide a rich opportunity for learning how to love ourselves and others well, if we choose to purpose them in that way.  If you want to explore how to create that "sacred place," then this episode is for you.
