Fr Peter Mary Rookey OSM was a Roman Catholic friar and priest, ordained into the Servite Order on May 17, 1941 at Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica in Chicago.He was often referred to as 'The Healing Priest' due to the countless healings of spirit, soul and body received through his ministry. He was known and loved for his commitment to the Divine Office, the Holy Rosary and the prayerful celebration of the Eucharist. TEACHING OF DOM BENEDICT HERON OSB
Dom Benedict Heron OSB was a pioneer in the charismatic movement and a prominent figure in Catholic Charismatic Renewal. He served in the healing and deliverance ministry, led a prayer group that ministered healing and renewal to thousands of souls. He also published several books of immense spiritual value: Praying for Healing, Come, Holy Spirit, Our Call to Holiness and I Saw Satan Fall. Fr Benedict went to be with the Lord on 8th October 2018. This podcast channel honours his holy memory by sharing his powerful teaching on Christian discipleship, spiritual life and the healing ministry.

Fr. Peter was the assistant to the General of the Servite Order from 1953 to 1959 in Rome. He often took the train in the early morning hours to attend the Masses of St Padre Pio. He sought advice from St Padre Pio and confessed with him twice in the Italian language. In this podcast you can pray the Holy Rosary with St Padre Pio who can be heard when the decades of the Rosary are prayed, followed at the end by the Miracle Prayer with Fr Peter Rookey OSM. Thousands received healing of spirit, soul and body through the ministries of St Padre Pio and Fr Peter Rookey OSM. This podcast honors the connection between their ministries.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy was much loved by Fr Peter Rookey OSM and was prayed daily at 3pm with all the members of his International Compassion Ministry office. We hope many listeners will want to use this audio to worship the Lord in the daily prayer of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. In this way, we can also continue to honor the memory of Fr Peter Rookey and the holy example shown to us in his life. The order of prayer for the chaplet can easily be found online. It is prayed using a normal 10-decade Rosary. This is a special addition to the podcast channel and was not recorded with the participation of Fr Peter.
