Process > product. Journey > destiny.
We often focus too much on where we want to be, but we forget to appreciate the slow moments, the ups and downs and everything that looks hard in the beginning but it’s actually preparing us to our arrival. Maybe something didn’t happen yet because you need to be ready to receive it. Life happens in the process, the product is a consequence. Appreciate your journey, because that’s the story you’re gonna tell. Follow me on Instagram: @nalanalua
You are exactly where you need to be in order to learn and evolve. People experience things in different times. Don’t compare yourself.
As a kid I always thought I’d get my shit together on my early 20’s. I guess that kid is a bit disappointed right now, because things didn’t come out that way. As my 23’s birthday is on its way, I reflected a lot about “being late in life” and how we tend to compare and pressure ourselves to be living in the same timeline than others. Graduate, find a job, travel the world, get married and have kids. Takes courage to accept that all those things can be done in a different order.
Do you know the difference? Sometimes we make decisions believing we are following our intuition, but it can be that we are missing opportunities because of paranoia. And if we don’t know how to truly connect with our intuition, we may end up living an illusion. Acknowledging if we are feeling paranoia or intuition about a situation is important to make better decisions in our lives. Prepare a warm drink, take your time and let’s talk about it.
Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything, maybe is about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you.
