Life's stories, and the stories we tell ourselves every step of the way. How we tell ourselves stories that tear us down, and what we need to tell ourselves to get back up. These are the stories that "The Story I Tell Myself" is looking to tell the world
Finn & Kit talk through what goes on in their minds when they try to make sense of some of life's harder, most unanswerable questions: meaning, direction, and what it means to be a good person. What we believe about these topics might be true to us right now, but there's no way to know if they'd be the same a couple of years from now - and that's okay. These are topics that pop into everyone's minds every once in a while, and we never know the answers for sure. That's why we need to keep having these conversations with those around us, and keep trying to figure it out - in the words of Brene Brown, I'm not here to be right, I'm here to get it right. Enjoy!
3 years ago, the thing that brought Meg and I together was the importance of looking after your mental health, being kind to yourself, and the amazing things that can bring to life and those around us. It seems like almost every conversation I have with Meg could make an awesome podcast, and I’m so glad that we finally got to it.
In this episode, we talk about life as we transition into new phases of our lives, the harsh expectations we hold ourselves to, battles with worthiness, and there's some other stuff in there too
We always ask "how are you", but never expect, desire, or provide an honest answer. Instead, we should be asking "How are you, really?". In this episode, Javier and Zi Kit explore why it is a question that's so hard to ask, and why it's so hard to answer - even (or especially?) among people we're close to.
Join Zi Kit Toh, as he searches for life's stories, and explores the stories behind them - the one's that go on in our heads. The stories that hold us back, and the one's that keep us going, the stories that make us human. Stay tuned for more!
