Tried a lot of new tunes that night and played around with the effects of the DJ-M 1000 a lot. Also tried to play with 4 decks / loops so its not 100% tight always but thats how life goes sometimes;) Still captured the great vibe well and hope you enjoy it.
Recorded a United We Stream session for Arte together with fellow friends and colleagues in O Der Club Vienna. This tune got realized a while ago in a jam session with my friend Dubseque in Vienna and even tho its not really my style we had lot of fun producing the song together. I sent it to Yousef who liked it but said its perfect for KI Creighton's label Under No Ilusion. And he was right!

Opening track La Aperture floats on a fabulous jittery percussive groove and hip-wrenching sub-bass, laced with melodic swells and wave after wave of lush motifs, in what is an excellent collaborative meeting of minds between Straub and Fe Vargas. For Jericho Straub goes solo, creating an excellent low-slung, clanky metallic groove, spotted with solo synth lines and evocative vocal snippets. He follows this with Reinforcement, which is built on an energetic, exceptionally tight and focused percussive groove experiment, unrelenting in its linear attitude throughout. The perfect finale comes in the form of Collecting The Stars, where, bedded on a stripped-back kick and snappy percussion groove, Straub and Nilseus build a beautiful melody-rich cinematic landscape, riding on a carpet of deep, driving bass and detailed rhythmic mastery.

Last weekend I played a long warm up set at lovely Pratersauna Club in Vienna and I thought I dedicate this mix to Klangextase! It was a lovely evening, I opened the main room and had 3 hours until Worakls took over. I enjoy building the vibe from scratch a lot and hope this recording captured that momentum well.

Played another set at my most favorite Social Club down at Cabestan in Casablanca, Morocco! 2,5 hours ending the club which was once more big fun. First of my 2 sets on San Andres island, earlier this month, for Eivissa Sound Festival. Its a great institution which got started to promote the sound and vibes of Ibiza around the globe! Starting point was in Colombia with some kick off events around Bogota some month ago and this was the first festival edition which was a nice adventure! First set was recorded and broadcast on Radio Ibiza Sonica too. Enjoy!

I met Marek Bilinski in Poland earlier this year at SeaZone Music Conference and was amazed by his music as well as from the fact that I did not know his work yet! He made all of his original songs in the early 80'ies to give the people a sense of freedom with his spacy synth's. They reminded me a lot on my youth hero Jean Michel Jarre and I could not stop listening. Obviously after a while I had the feeling I need to give these my own touch, so I made 2 versions of my most favorite Marek Song - and luckily enough also John Digweed loved them and decided to release these on his legendary Bedrock Records imprint!
Had again the pleasure to play my anual gig at phenomenal Grelle Forelle Club in Vienna! Turbo Projects invited my to share the night with my buddy Dubfire and so I played from opening till Ali took over, which was more then 3,5 hours later.
