Dai and Ruth return for an extended podcast, discussing the 3-1 defeat to Belgium in the opening World Cup Qualifier, as well as the very encouraging 1-0 victory over Mexico in Cardiff. This is followed up by a preview of Tuesday's huge game against the Czech Republic.
The opening section is based on the qualifier against the Belgians, and the frustrating manner of the defeat. Whilst we scored a great goal, there was certainly a feeling of an opportunity missed. The line ups, the tactics, the key decisions and the goals themselves get dissected as well as a few bigger picture issues.
From there, we move on to Mexico, and the man of the moment, Chris Gunter. We riff a little on the centurion himself as well as dissect the bonkers starting line up, which turned out to not actually be that bonkers. From players who took their opportunity, to players who need to improve, we discuss it all.
We finish with a preview of the Czech Republic game, and mention their impressive 1-1 draw with the Belgians this week, and the impact that has on the group.

Dai and Ruth return to finally talk about the Wales team playing football! Ahead of an exciting ten days or so where Cymru will face Belgium, Mexico and The Czech Republic, there is a lot to discuss!
From the goalkeeper dilemma, and who will start there, to who will be in front of the stopper in defence. We have a tactics discussion where we talk through who we want to play and who we think will play!
Following some frankly staggering statistics about the Belgian side, we move on to the Mexico friendly. Who should play, how should we experiment, and does Chris Gunter get his 100th cap are all the big talking points.

We discuss the resumption of the Welsh League, Cymru Premier, and some interesting and very watchable games in it. Bala getting a draw with TNS has got someone the boot, and Aber score a sumptuous last minute freekick! It was a good return!
From there we talk through the news of a possible joint World Cup hosting bid involving Wales, as Dai becomes an old man and moans about too many teams getting involved in the most famous tournament of them all.

Dai and Ruth are back to respond to a question from a twitter follower, asking about the Wales players who will be coming through in the future.

Following that we discuss the announcement of a friendly for the mens team ahead of Euro 2020, against the Albanians. The FAW announced the game this week as a “send off” for the team, and it will be held at the Cardiff City Stadium on 5th June. The pair then talk through the recently released FAW plans for a return to football for the Welsh League, as well as what constitutes “elite status” in both men and women’s football in Wales.

Dai and Ruth return for another podcast to discuss the issues of the moment - key among them being the retirement of Welsh legend Ashley Williams. Dai and Ruth discuss their favourite moments of the captain fantastic as well as say thank you to a modern great.
The issue of Gareth Bale is raised again, and for how much longer he still has a role to play for Wales, as well as how he is being perceived by the Welsh footballing public.
There is also a discussion of Wales U21 qualifying draw, plus some thoughts on how the U21 squad could and should be approached in the upcoming campaign. A lot to get stuck into!

Laura O’Sullivan has come under some criticism, and rightly so in Dai’s eyes, although Ruth seems keen to find solutions elsewhere, rather than changing goalkeepers. We discuss whether the lack of goals has been an issue a little bit of late, but overall this is a very positive review of a great performance, and fairly unfortunate outcome for the women’s team.
Dai and Ruth also discuss the transfer we have all been hoping for - Gareth Bale going somewhere he is loved. The move to Spurs seems a match made in heaven, but will it work out? Welcome back to another Coleman Had A Dream podcast! Following the FAW re-running all the qualifiers in the build up to Euro 2016, we are watching and discussing the games. Up today, are two of the most important games, certainly in the modern history, of Welsh football.
After a great start to the group where Wales had won two and drawn two, we came up against an Israel team who had won their opening three qualifying games. They had beaten Andorra, Cyprus and most impressively, top seeds Bosnia and Herzegovina. Wales were to go clear top of the group after this game following a stunning 3-0 win. An apparently out of form (if you were to read the pre match media chatter) Gareth Bale scored a brace, whilst Aaron Ramsey scored a gorgeous header on the stroke of half time.
With three points in our pockets Wales headed home, and later in the year (June) came up against a very talented and exciting Belgium side. The Welsh had previously had an hard fought 0-0 draw out in Belgium, but this time went one better when Gareth Bale collected a misplaced backpass and sent the Cardiff City Stadium into raptures.
Two games which put us on the road to Euro 2016. In the words of Rob Phillips, “catch us if you can”.

It is something which has reared it's ugly head again of late, not just in Europe but also in the UK too. This conversation centers around personal examples of things, recent issues and also what we would like to see happen to improve sanctions and education in regards to racism in football.

The long discussion in on the crucial Wales Women qualifier against England where a win will see the team through to the World Cup for the first time. Sadly there are other permutations if we don't win regarding the playoffs, and it's very complicated! All the options are explained, as are the key results which we need to go our way if we don't win.

Dai and Ruth were fortunate to spend a good hour or so chatting to Owain Tudur Jones, about all things football. Owain discussed his move from North Wales playing for Bangor, down to South Wales and Swansea City. In that he talks about winning the LDV Vans Trophy, and then losing in the playoff final weeks later at the same location.
Owain talked openly about his injury problems, how the whole thing made him feel and the difficulties which came with it. We talked about his move to Norwich and the debut disaster where he lost 7-1 before that side went on to be promoted. He talks openly about his trip to Vegas, as well as working with Paul Lambert and Roberto Martinez.
The conversation then turned to Wales, and his time working for 3 different managers at very different times in his career. Toshack, Speed and Coleman we very different men, and Owain talks through them all. He discusses his first cap, and his surprise call up to the Wales squad for the Carling Cup of Nations in Ireland.
