This is part one of our new series which deals with the topic of our new identity in Christ. The goal of this series is to show you how to think of yourself as a new creation so that you can live like a new creation.
Are you troubled today? Are you enduring a sustained season of darkness and pain and suffering? Or do you know someone who is experiencing a sustained season of trouble? Then this word is for you. Today we will look at Ahaz, a king of Judah, who was about to be attacked. And we will see the word that God sent to him so that he and we could endure and be victorious in a season of trouble. I believe that God will speak to you mightily from his word to encourage your hearts. Isaiah 7:1-9
in this brief thought for today episode, I want to share a very different way of thinking about our relationship with God, our heavenly father.
In today’s message, we will focus on Romans chapter 8, and we will see that God does not condemn us, and we will find greater power through the Scriptures to live faithful and victorious lives over sin, guilt, and shame.
In this episode, we will focus on James chapter 1 and we will learn that God is prepared to give us wisdom, especially in the midst of our greatest trials, especially when we are confused. But we will also see that the condition for receiving that wisdom is to have a heart of faith, and not a mind of doubt. We will also learn how to put away doubt, and to become believers and receivers.
In today’s episode, we look at the power of words to either grow or destroy our faith. We will focus on the story of Jesus and Jairus in Mark chapter 5 beginning at verse 21.
Today’s teaching is from Psalm 27 where David says: The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid? And then David says in verse three: Though an host should encamp against me my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me in this will I be confident.
In today’s teaching, we will see that we don’t have to avoid troubles, but we will find God in the midst of our troubles.
We live in relationships. God wants us to love each other in the way he loves us. How do we do that? We will focus on Paul’s epistles and how Paul instructs and encourages us to live in love.
In second Corinthians chapter 5, verse 15 Paul writes: He died for us that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died for them.
And yet, every day, every minute of every day, the self life pushes itself to the front and demands that we cater and serve the sinful self. We must resist this temptation to put self at the center and put our Lord Jesus Christ and his will and his joy and his praise, and his pleasure at the center of our lives.
In this episode, I encourage Christians to be transformed by the renewing of their minds.
Abraham is the father of our faith not just because of the initial faith he had in God, but because of the type of faith that characterize his daily life.
We are new creations in Christ, and we need to start looking at ourselves the way God sees us. Holiness will never be accomplished by listening to preaching about our sin or thinking of ourselves as sinners. Holiness begins by seeing that God has changed our root so that we can bear the fruit of love patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control.
The Lord Jesus set the ultimate example for us. See I Peter 2:23
He did not respond to others in the way that they were treating him.
The first 'P" is prioritization. Parent's must set systematic times to teach their children the Word of God.
Parents must make it their most important duty to read the Word of God with and to their children.
God does not want his children to be poor because he is rich. He provides for all of our needs according to his riches in glory. Jesus said in my fathers house there are many mansions. God is a mansion builder. Only rich people build mansions. Learn to think and act like your father and you will see his will manifested in your life in the abundance of physical and spiritual blessing. This is the shalom life the blessing of Abraham.
While we celebrate the manger and the cradle during this advent season, we need to remember that Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. (I John 3:8) And the works of the devil are sin and sickness. God has given authority to his church over sin and over sickness. This does not mean that we will never sin or that we will never be sick, but it does mean that he has given us extraordinary authority to triumph over both sin and sickness.
Today’s teaching focuses on the fact that wiseguys or wise people don’t hang around with fools. And also wise people know how to control their anger. So they know how to control their temper and they know how to avoid foolish people.
In this episode, I will be teaching about the 25 ways of the wise person as they are delineated explicitly for us in the book of Proverbs. The book of Proverbs makes a distinction between the wise person who fears and reveres God and the fool who has no reverence for God. There are specific ways that wise people live and specific ways that fools live. And it is imperative that we teach this to each other and to our children so that we can recognize when we are being wise and also recognize when we are playing the fool.
Perhaps the most destructive element in any relationship is anger. The book of Proverbs teaches us that a fool is the person who is angry quickly. If you are angry at the drop of a hat, you need to stop playing the fool and bring this to God so that you can learn to overcome this emotion before it overcomes you.
In this episode of What Would Solomon Say? we examine the biblical command for children to honor and obey their parents. The culture tells children that their peers are more important than their parents, but in this letter from Solomon we will learn that that is not true. God wants children to honor and obey their parents no matter how young those children are or how old they become.
God commands us to teach our children about him and to teach them the ways of wisdom and righteousness. Perhaps the finest book in the Bible for parenting is the book of Proverbs, for it shows young people how to get wisdom and how to live skillful, effective, and righteous lives in a wicked world. In my new book, What Would Solomon Say?, I create innovative ways for parents to teach their children the great themes and topics of wisdom. I organized the book of Proverbs in topics that are relevant to parenting so that parents can have the wisdom of God at their fingertips and be able to sow it into the hearts of their children as their children interact with them.
This episode is the first in a series about wisdom from the book of Proverbs. In this particular episode we begin dealing with the topic of self-control speech words and anger.
Today’s program is about our need to become preoccupied with the Word of God. Our focus is on the word meditation in Joshua chapter 1 verse eight. You will see that we are either preoccupied with our occupations or we are preoccupied with God’s word. You will learn how to meditate properly on the Word of God and to fill your mind with his Word so that the world does not fill your mind with its thoughts, and anxiety doesn’t destroy you.
This message is taken from David’s incredible prayer in first Chronicles chapter 29. The focus of this message is for us to take the focus off of ourselves and to see God in his glory and greatness so that we are not ruled by life in the tyranny of the urgent or in the pursuit of daily necessities. David teaches us how to bless God with all of our hearts.
Jesus spoke with authority. He has given us the same authority to speak like kings and priests to every aspect of our lives.
God is our healer. He heals because his name is Jehova Rapha--God our healer. He has never stopped healing because he always acts according to his Name. But we no longer expect healing because we have lost faith in the fact that God heals. We need more than ever today to recover what the Bible says about God's healing heart and word towards his people. We cannot receive what we do not believe and faith comes by hearing.
The Bible tells us to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

God has given you the will and the power to love with his love. But this new will and power is in the new creation which is in Christ. The more we come to understand about the new creation, the more we will be able to live and to love from the new powerful person that God has created and called us to be. This series will help you to understand and apply the new power that God has given to you so that you can renew your mind and your marriage every day in every way. The teaching about the new creation will help you to grow and to make your marriage grow. So listen daily and may the Lord bless this word to your heart.
God is great and good. He shows his sovereign love by applying his personal goodness to our lives
God shows us how much he loved us by sending his son to die for us. We must place his value upon us and we must place this same value on others so that we can love ourselves as God loves us and love our neighbors as ourselves.

How the teaching of the new man helps us to love God and each other. We cannot love our families unless we begin living and loving from the new nature that God has placed within those who have trusted in Christ for salvation. We are new creations. And we must learn to live as new creations from the new will and the new power that God has given to us.
Faith must be translated to work. Today's sermon is based on Mark 2 where Jesus heals the paralytic. This sermon defines faith as a single minded determination to achieve the purpose that God has placed in our hearts. If we have to go through the roof then we must not let anything stop us.
What should the resurrection mean to us? Its historicity and doctrinal significance are meaningless unless we understand that Christ has granted to us this very Resurrection life so that we can love powerfully and triumphantly as he does.

This sermon teaches us how to overcome the past to live the new life that Christ has given to us. It is based on Christ's forgiving encounter with Peter after his betrayal of Christ.
Christ is the vine and we are the branches. How do you know that you are getting the flow? Where there is faith, love, obedience, and wisdom there is the life of Christ flowing in and through you. In fact, faith, love, obedience, and wisdom are the life of Christ in you, because that is the perfect description of the life that Christ lived while he was on earth.
Doubt, hate, disobedience, and foolishness all obstruct the flow of his life in you and eventually will cause you to wither and die on the vine.
Faith is always being certain about God's unlimited power and His unbreakable promises.
Love is desiring and doing what is best for others.
Obedience is doing what's right in God's sight.
Wisdom is knowing what's right and understanding how to do it in the right way.
