We celebrate the resurrection of Christ– a historical fact that was testified by 500 witnesses.
God’s blessings and promises are not contingent on our striving but rather solely on us being sons and daughters.
The grand assignment is to advance God's kingdom through the Gospel. The more you are concerned about what's on God's heart, the more He favors you.
Ego simply means “I” or “yourself” When you say you don’t have an ego, you are saying you don’t have yourself and are taking away what God wants to use in you.
Paul’s deepest desire is that the people of the Galatian church would be formed into the likeness of Jesus, the Son of God. But because they have been deceived and are not growing into the image of Christ, he has to use a disciplinary tone to bring correction.
We are the children of God, we get our orders from Him. He rescues us, we live above the elemental forces. In Christ, we walk on the water.
God desires for us to continue to grow and mature in Christ. In the understanding of His word, but also in the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.
“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” Galatians 3:28
God remembers - times up - he’s coming to rescue his people. And cleanse them and bless them.
Zechariah 9:14-16
The people who follow the Lord faithfully will often pray the bitter prayer, which often start with the words “how long?”
The shepherds of the Passover lambs, go to a manger, a place where lambs would be bedded, to see the lamb of God who takes away our sins. And this is what John said when he saw Jesus in the desert: “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!’” - John 1:29
We follow Jesus, who was poured out, not the one who was looking out for his own preservation. Being poured out in obedience to God, and God exalting you is the formula for kingdom success.
Pray fervently. Pray honestly. Pray biblically. Pray specifically. Pray Spirit-led prayers.
It is not the fault of the patriarchy or another race which is the reason that you have problems in your life, and it is not a new system of bondage that is going to make you free. It is primarily your own sin that causes bondage, and only Jesus can free you from it.
Systems of man put people in bondage and make us slaves, but the blood of Jesus sets us free and gives us new life.
"I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus. Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days. I saw none of the other apostles—only James, the Lord’s brother. I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie. Then I went to Syria and Cilicia. I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” And they praised God because of me." Galatians 1:17-24
Apostle Paul rebukes the church of Galatia and reminds them that there is only one gospel.
Paul opens this epistle to the Galatians saying you owe me a debt of honor because I’m called by God, and this calling is not of man but of God, so listen up.
“He who opens the breach goes up before them; they break through and pass the gate, going out by it. Their king passes on before them, the Lord at their head.” Micah 2:13
When you are faced with a crisis, seek the face of God; there is an opportunity for you.
Sometimes God puts you in a place you don’t want to be, and you go through massive pain. And that is part of the plan. But that’s not the whole plan.
God loves people and He wants them to turn to Him. But if they don't, judgment is coming.
For a culture that is at the end of its life cycle because of sin and darkness, Jesus is coming like a thief in the night. He comes to the righteous, and they’re blessed; He comes to the wicked, and they’re judged.
Everyone has their ideas of how to fix the world. But we are called to walk in holiness and preach the gospel.
We’ve heard so many messages about our “destiny.” About how great we’re going to be. But all of the gospel accounts, and all of the epistles, give us this one message: walk in holiness, and share the gospel. It’s relatively simple. How do we reform a nation? We fast and pray, but for what purpose? It’s ultimately so that people will walk in holiness, and share the gospel. We get involved in politics, but for what purpose? So that we and those around us can walk in holiness and preach the gospel.
Everyone knows that God created the world. There are no true atheists. Those without God think that freedom means being able to do whatever they want. But they’re stuck doing things they wish they didn’t, and they’re unable to do things they wish they could.
Because there’s something wrong with the heart. And apart from God, there’s nothing in the world that can change the human heart. It’s only by the power of Jesus Christ.
The sun will turn to darkness is a symbolism of our world today. Moral order has left us, and when man rejects the fundamental things, justice comes. But, God so loved the world that He sent His son, Jesus, to be the light, to redeem and bring order to all things.
The church is called by God to speak to the culture.
We are called to tell people: Here are the things you must guard against. Here are the things that are dangerous, the things that, if you let them live inside of you, will destroy everything.
The church has stopped being the conscience for the people. It wants to be only the masseuse. But the state or the government can’t be our conscience. The education system can’t be our conscience. It is the church that God has called to this.
Our belief in the miraculous things of God has to be combined with the faithful walking out of the principles of His kingdom.
Jesus is prophet, savior, and king. And He comes with a message that is both universal and particular.
Humanity lives in a state of divine disassociation. We’ve been separated from ourselves and from God, and we exist in a state of inner chaos, unable to discern truth or reality.
The rainbow is a symbol of God's beauty, mercy, and grace coming down from heaven and touching the earth.
The law of the Spirit is not prison or death, but life in Christ Jesus; it sets you free from every pattern of sin, death, pain, and bondage.
God wants to lift you up to high places right here, right now, despite our besieged surroundings.
Just because we have a new master, it doesn’t mean that we go back and put the old chains on. We do not have a license to touch whatever we want.

Knowing his critics will be asking, Paul the apostle poses a question about sin and grace and then provides the answer.
In the tradition of the church calendar, we celebrate Palm Sunday as the Sunday that enters into Holy week. It is a day, documented in all four of the gospels, when Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey, to join thousands of Jewish pilgrims who were arriving for the annual feast of the Passover.

We come to the conclusion of our years journey through the life of Abraham. The man from Ur has journeyed from comfort to see the seed of a dream realized in his son Isaac. Isaac has been saved from sacrifice, just like we have been saved from sacrifice because of what Jesus did for us. We look forward to the fulfillment to all of God's promises not because of us but because of His faithfulness.
The Angel of the Lord has stayed the hand of Abraham revealing the sacrifice that God provided. The Ram was caught in the thicket of thorns by his horns creating a barbed crown holding him down. God provided what was needed for the sacrifice without cost to Abraham while granting him the fulfillment of the promise.
Abraham binds his son Isaac to the altar, steadying his hand to kill the promised one when the Angel of the Lord halts the moment. We continue the Journey of Abraham in this striking scene where God is testing the resolve and trust of Abraham. Living sacrifices require rope, how are you binding your self in faith to the promise of God?
