This mix was inspired by Mike Kemetic and the owners of the Nile Ethiopian Restaurant on Laurel Street near Broad Street on VCUs campus. A beautiful restaurant / bar that not only brings you great Ethiopian food, but a cool atmosphere to relax and connect. It should definitely be on your list of places to rendezvous.
When I first met Natan, one of the owners of the Nile, he had a peculiar sound that he wanted to bring to his venue. At the Nile, he spoke of soulful house, rhythmic sounds and a place for people seeking inspiration, solace and a renewed expression enhanced by beautifully crafted music (reminiscent of NYC Body & Soul Parties).
