Researching the relationship between prison and hip-hop. What makes this genre so influential in criminal activity? Analyze and compare the effects the prison industry has on hip-hop and its listeners. Review and discuss the history behind the stigma of “jail-like” mentality; what would hip-hop look like today without the influence of prison culture so heavily immersed into it songs/artist/albums/fashion?
