In this message, we learn from Mary in Luke 10 that only one thing matters: Jesus. Although everyday life may pull our attention away, we are invited to daily plug back into his source. To do this, we prioritize him, we enjoy him, and we refuse every substitute.

In this message, we walk through 1 Peter 1:1-13, learning that by fixing our gaze on Jesus’ return, we are then filled with a living hope. God has already given us everything we need, and we are invited to draw from all that he has freely provided. Because of this, the trials we face become opportunities to tap into the eternal resource that is Jesus. In him, we have full access to joy, peace, and grace. It is God’s desire that our hope in him becomes the anchor for our souls.

As the church, we are the bride of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit awakens in us a longing for the arrival of our bridegroom. In this message, we see how this longing leads us to discover the longing of God’s heart: for him to dwell among his people. When the fear of the Lord is our treasure, we walk in the reality of who he is at all times (Isaiah 33:6).

Out of the fullness of Christ, we have an infinite source and supply of grace (John 1:16). In this message, we are encouraged to look to Jesus for our source, surrendering our own and not settling for anything less. We steward his grace by living in obedience, so that through us the glory of the Father may be revealed to the world.

Grace is the way into, and the culture inside, the Father’s house. In this message, we learn more about grace and how it confronts the lies we believe when we are focused on approval or rejection. Grace rejects the dilution of Jesus’ influence and requires the exchange of our burden for his so that we can live from the rest that is our inheritance (Matthew 11:28-30).

There is a promise of true rest that our Father wants to give us, but we are called to make every effort to enter into it (Hebrews 4:1-11). When we let go of the old systems that keep us bound, God can then replace them with something new. It is God’s design for us to rely on the Spirit and his strength to carry us where he wants us to go. He invites us to live a life that is sustained completely by his grace (1 Corinthians 15:10).

Jesus has brought us into the relationship he has with the Father through the fullness of his grace. In this message, we read the Parable of the Lost Son to gain a deeper understanding of grace and how we receive it simply by accepting how much the Father loves us. As his sons and daughters, we build his kingdom by maintaining a posture of humility and childlike faith, knowing it is his conviction and not our own that gives us access to grace upon grace (John 1:16).

As God’s people, we are called to unity with him both personally and corporately. In this message, we learn about the dangers of offence and how it is incongruent with his glory. We are encouraged to bring our wounds to the cross, ridding ourselves of offence and helping others in the body of Christ so that we can walk in alignment with his grace (Ephesians 4:31-32).

Throughout the history of the church, we have been called to encounter and know God personally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In this message, we continue the conversation on Jesus’ deepest longing: for the Father to be glorified and for us to partake in the unity that is defined within the Trinity (John 17:20-26). By yielding to this desire for oneness with him and each other, we find life and experience the love he made available through the cross.

This week we delve into John 17:20-23, and what it means to live in unity with God and each-other. We are called not only to receive his love, but to participate in it. By denying our flesh daily, we make room for the new work God wants to do in us. His desire is for us to have minds governed by the Spirit, to then walk in true peace, freedom, and life (Romans 8:5-8).

In this message, we celebrate Pentecost Sunday and discover how it is a pattern of kingdom fruitfulness. Because Jesus has already fulfilled this pattern, we bear fruit simply by remaining in him. We are prompted to offer God our first fruits and our suffering as a prophetic signal of future glory while continuously praying: “Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name” (Psalm 86:11).

In this message, we learn that the Holy Spirit will not only be in us and with us, but will also come upon us (Acts 1:8). When we yield to the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered for a purpose: to witness and point others to Jesus. We receive this manifestation of the Spirit by humbling ourselves and making room for God’s sovereignty. “‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty” (Zechariah 4:5-7).

God wants to show us the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:1-9). In this message, we are invited to surrender the limits we have placed on ourselves and allow the fullness of his grace to take us beyond them. We do this with the Holy Spirit, who leads us to experience the wonders of God’s grace in alignment with the truth of his goodness.

God commands us to not be afraid and promises to be with us (Joshua 1:9). In this message, we are urged to be led by the Spirit of Truth in confronting our fears and the deeper wounds behind them so we can walk in the fullness of God’s love. With the Spirit, we are equipped to face our giants courageously because we know God is with us.

God never intended for us to move through life alone, but to keep in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:25). In this message we continue learning what it means to walk with the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. We are invited to step into a greater intimacy and life aligned with his truth — a greater friendship with the Holy Spirit.

God is looking for worshippers who worship in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24). In this message, we are encouraged to pursue an intimate, authentic relationship with our Father, who longs to reveal himself to us. When we come face to face with him in worship and prayer, we open ourselves to receiving his love in return.

Jesus has called us to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow him (Luke 9:23). In this message, we learn that the way to do this is through the Holy Spirit, who is a person that dwells within us. We are invited to build a relationship with him by surrendering control and trusting him wholeheartedly.

He is risen! As we read Mark 16:1-8, we celebrate that Jesus’ resurrection was not the end of the story, but just the beginning. He has set us free to fill us with the same power that raised him from the dead and to proclaim that life has the final say. As his followers, sometimes we just need to embrace the mystery of faith and simply believe.

This week, we dive into 2 Corinthians 5:14-21, learning what it means to walk as true ambassadors of Christ. God’s design is to have his presence flow through us so that it touches the world around us. When we freely give away what he has given us, we begin to experience his freedom and truth more fully. He invites us to let go of fear and comfort, and to step forward into the light, knowing we are qualified by him.

As God’s royal priests, we have been given a vision from heaven to rebuild and are called to take our position as his representatives here on earth. In this message, we get a deeper understanding of the distinction between the lies of the accuser and the truth of the Holy Spirit who lives within us. When we obey the voice of our Advocate, we grow in spiritual maturity that enables us to lead others to walk in his light.
In this message, we read Isaiah 61 through the lens of Luke 4:14-20 to see how Jesus came not only to fulfill Scripture but to demonstrate his power. Like him, we have been anointed by the Spirit in order to display the splendour of the kingdom of God. By obediently walking with the Holy Spirit, we find our purpose, and we are empowered to rebuild, restore, and renew the world around us.

As followers of Jesus, we are both walking in the promise of his kingdom and preparing for his return. In this message, we draw from Mark 1:1-8 and Luke 7:29-30, where we learn that the way to keep ourselves prepared is through maintaining a posture of humility and repenting. Repentance realigns our heart with God’s so that we can live in the fullness of our identity in Christ.

God is calling our church to be witnesses to the power of the Cross — to display his manifold wisdom to all the powers of the air (Ephesians 3:10-11). This confrontation invites us to bear the responsibility of being known by his name by rejecting self-exaltation and false humility, and recognizing the times he uses us to show the world his nature, authority, and presence. In this message, we are invited as a church to outwardly express what God is already working in us so that our lives become faithful manifestations of the inheritance we have in Christ.

Jesus came to make us whole. He takes our sin, our shame, and our pride, and through his love, heals our deepest wounds. In this message, we explore how shame and pride can keep us trapped and distant from God, protecting places in our hearts that he longs to access. Jesus empathizes with our weakness and invites us to bring every part of ourselves to him. Through his wounds, we find mercy, grace, and healing—salve for our hearts instead of the lies the enemy offers.

In this message, we continue in the story of Nehemiah and learn how to recognize what is an attack and what is an infiltration of the enemy. The place of God’s presence in our souls is a contested space — we are called to put off whatever belongs to our earthly nature and put on the new self we have in Christ (Colossians 3:5-10).

Baptism is a public declaration against all other rulers and authorities that Jesus is Lord and has the final say. In this message, we dive into Colossians 2 and are brought into a greater reality of the authority of Christ and the fullness of the Spirit living in us. When we are baptized, we are putting to death our old flesh, being buried with Christ, and are raised to new life through faith in the power of God (Colossians 2:12).

Through scripture we know that our position in him cannot be moved, yet the enemy will try to displace our confidence in Jesus. Our spiritual warfare is to stand firm in Jesus, in his mighty power!

Through Jesus, we have been adopted as sons and daughters of God, and the Spirit he gives us testifies to this reality by crying out to our Father (Galatians 4:4-6). In this message, we are reminded that as his heirs, we belong to him not because of what we do, but because of what Christ has already done. Our lives reflect that belonging as we walk in the freedom of knowing who we are in him.

From the beginning, God’s heart has always been to be known by his people. When we take delight in the Lord, he promises to give us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4). In this message, we see how David embodied this posture through his desire to build a dwelling place for God’s presence. Following Jesus means we'll encounter signs and miracles along our journey. However, we can become overly focused on seeking these good things and lose sight of Jesus himself. We must be careful not to settle for the signs alone, but rather recognize the One they point to. It's essential to stay connected to his presence and focus on the One who truly matters. No matter who we are, we are susceptible to money becoming a driving factor in our daily choices. If we're honest with ourselves in this, we may discover that we depend on what our finances can offer us more than God. In the face of his imminent death, Jesus reclined at the table and was eager to eat the Passover meal with his disciples. In that moment, they remembered the journey of God bringing the Israelites out of Egypt, but Jesus pointed to a greater freedom and life that he was about to offer them through the cross the next day. Jesus prepares a meal that we are invited to partake, so that we can bring to mind the power of his blood that overcomes sin. When we apply his blood and its power to our lives, the enemy has no jurisdiction over us — we are separated from sin and are led into greater depths of his love, joy, peace and freedom.

In a church, we can have many surface-level things in common: demographics, interests, politics, etc. But, when we are called into "fellowship," we have to yield to its true definition: fellowship in the light, with him and with others. In our faith, we often focus on personal holiness. But have you ever considered interpersonal holiness? As a church, we are called to be a dwelling place for God's presence - together. Our oneness with one another matters. If we allow offence to take root into our hearts, we create space where the enemy can sit at the table. Jesus became the antidote and made our oneness possible by laying down his life and forgiving those who sin against him. Because of this, the enemy has no hold on him and in Jesus, the enemy has no hold on us.

We are people made for the glory of God. But asking to see more of God's glory, as Moses did, is a dangerous prayer to pray. Experiencing greater measures of God's presence will cause us to reject anything the world has to offer for the sake of knowing Christ. In the early church, it was evident that the Holy Spirit was active and moving through Jesus' disciples with miracles, signs and wonders wherever they went. Why aren't we seeing this type of life today? God desires to pour out his power on his people, but we have to understand the process of purity and purpose and the ways we look for life in the world instead of him. When we recognize who God truly is and who we are in him, he gives us power to be his witnesses that testify to who he is.

In God, we are chosen by him, no matter who we are, to be a witness and play a role in his redemption of this world. However, we often ask "How do we find our purpose?" Contrary to the world, God's design is that our purpose flows from our identity. It is only until we surrender our will and desires to him, that we can truly receive and walk in God's purpose for our lives.

In church culture, purity has been confined to sexual purity. However, a greater definition of purity is to be authentically oneself. As followers of Christ, it means walking in our true identities as sons and daughters of God. As we live our lives, our identity will be tested, but Jesus invites us to look at his life and follow his example. In doing so, we become witnesses to God’s nature as his children and creation.

While Jesus was on earth, he performed miracle after miracle through signs and wonders and revealed the mysteries of God. Yet, his ministry on earth was only the beginning of all he intended to accomplish in his plan for redemption. Now he has given his Holy Spirit to empower and rest upon us, the church, to be his witnesses. He is still at work and accomplishing his plan in the world today through us.

True fellowship with one another and with God comes when we "walk in the light". One of the ways we live in the light is through confessing the sin that is keeping us in the dark. Though daunting, it is through confession that we receive forgiveness and freedom through Christ’s blood. In Christ, sin isn't the issue anymore - it's what we do with it that becomes the issue. Will we choose to live in the light or remain in darkness?

In John 13, Jesus gives his disciples a new command: “Love one another. But in today's culture, our vision of marriage is slowly eroding and it can be difficult to understand the weight of what Jesus' covenant to his Church means. We've lost sight of how we, the Church, are to prepare ourselves as the bride ready for him. God is revitalizing a vision of the bride who is solely devoted to Jesus, our groom.

Although Abraham was given the promise to become a father of many nations, he never saw this completely fulfilled in his lifetime. Through his family, he started a legacy of faith by building altars to the Lord wherever he went, which was a pattern passed down to both Isaac and Jacob. In contrast, it may be difficult for us today to think of the generations to come when it seems like we have enough problems of our own. However, in the same way as Abraham, we may be receiving promises from God that will be fulfilled in the next generation - and it may be that in God's invitation to look beyond ourselves, we can receive the breakthrough we need today.

Most of us wouldn’t admit that we actively choose to live in darkness, but if we survey our lives, there may be areas where we tolerate it. In reality, darkness is simply the absence of light. In our walk with Jesus, we can experience incredible moments of deliverance and freedom. Yet, when the old thoughts and feelings we thought we were free from come back, we can start to doubt if our experience of freedom was real or not. In this space, we have a responsibility to stand firm in the truth and reject the lies that try to persuade us otherwise. As Jesus' disciples, we ought to be aware of the ways that we are being influenced by the father of lies, rather than the Father of Light. Jesus says that he is the Light of the world and that when we follow him, we will never walk in darkness.

There is a value system that permeates all of humanity and the air we breathe: those with power use it to their own advantage, putting their own interests above others. But, when Jesus walked the earth, he confronted the powers of the air and showed us a different way. Though he knew all of the power and influence he had, he washed his disciples feet. In our cultural climate, most of us don't bow to physical gods or idols, but we do bow to ideas, thoughts and ideologies that are apart from the truth. At the root of each deception is the Father of Lies, who leads us away from the freedom we have in Jesus. But God is a deliverer and his truth sets us free from the lies that bind us. God has a design for our sexuality, but do we recognize these boundaries as for our good or rules that need to be followed? When we compare the restrictions that God has for us to what the world offers, we can often hold a suspicion that God is holding out on us. However, when we make the connection that the One who freed us is also the One who gives us these boundaries, we can see and start to trust that God desires us to be truly free and fully satisfied in the way that he designed us to be.

Ezekiel describes a river that flowed from the temple and gave abounding life to everything it touched. In Christ, we are being built into a temple, a meeting place of heaven and earth in which his Spirit flows to bless the world. He calls each of us to this temple, but it can only be built from the willingness of our hearts in order for this temple to be an expression of freedom.

In the Old Testament, the Israelites were commanded to tithe - to give a tenth of their increase to the temple. How does this principle apply to us today? As God shows us his faithfulness, he gives us the opportunity to meet him with our faithfulness, practically through our finances. Ultimately, God wants our hearts and he uses tithing as a proving ground.

Our God is a perfect Father. He is a faithful provider, knowing what we need and when we need it. He knows how to give us the best, but he also knows how to get the best out of us. In the psalms, David says “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” On one hand, it can be difficult to admit our helplessness and need for Jesus. On the other, it can seem like a hopeful reality that is too good to be true. The areas in our lives of desperate need or self-dependence reveal to us that we actually don’t trust Jesus as our shepherd. The gospel is simple: by grace, Jesus saved us and showed us his love by dying on the cross for us. But somewhere along the way, we can get lost doing things for Jesus to show how much we love him. This will inevitably fail and cause us to doubt God's love because, in doing this, we add our own work and virtue. Trying to operate outside of our relationship with the Father will lead to frustration and burnout. In fact, Jesus calls this evil.
