We sat down with blogger and writer Kelle Salle to discuss all things purpose and intent. We're all embarking on age 31, have experienced a global pandemic and have questioned our purpose as we get older. We also discussed the steps to getting work published, being black in writing space and diversity in beauty.
About Kelle Salle:
My name is Kelle and I am a London-based writer and blogger.
I’ve been blogging for nine years and in 2017, I decided that I wanted to create a safe space where millennial women could educate themselves while feeling inspired at the same time – that’s when Kelle’s Space was born.
Reviews, opinion pieces and life hacks along with the odd travel highlight are just some of the things you can expect to find on the site.
In addition to Kelle’s Space, I’ve been writing for digital publications for the past two years – my credits include Stylist Magazine, POPSUGAR, BYRDIE and Brown Beauty Talk.
In this episode we’re talking about friendships, especially as we’re getting older. We’re covering: - How the pandemic has negatively and positively impacted our friendships. - What life lessons have your friends taught us. - Our friendship breakups and how we handled them. - If some people are in our lives for a season, a reason or lifetime. - If its easier or harder to make friends as you get older

Episode 30: Mental health during a pandemic featuring Jennifer Okolo of She’s In A Pod
Who would have thought we’d still be talking about the dreaded pandemic a year on? Were we under the impression that it’d disappear overnight - yes.
In episode 30, we’re discussing dealing with mental health during a pandemic, with occupational therapist, Jennifer Okolo. Not only does she balance a 9-5, she runs the She Aspires UK platform. She Aspires was born out of frustration from seeing young talented women overshadowed by society and overruled by those who could not see the talent that stood before them.
Jennifer has made it her mission to educate, encourage other women, as explored through social activism, podcasting as 1/3 of award-nominated 'She's In A Pod', and numerous other public speaking engagements across Europe, with her expert opinion also recently being featured in Refinery 29.
We’re diving into running a 9 to 5 and side-hustling, our hopes and dreams post pandemic, and how to deal with things right now.
We’re back with our first episode of this year - Episode 29: 2020 Reflections and 2021 Goals.

2021, the present. We’re discussing the importance of goal setting, keeping things personal and why life can still be lived in the midst of the pandemic.

Episode 28 is all about boundaries and overfamiliarity. If 2020 and living in a digital age has taught us anything, people are often overstepping the mark. Is it all because they have crossed boundaries we haven’t asserted with them? Partly. But it is also due to the ‘open’ nature of social media and how accessible life has become. In this episode we’re discussing what boundaries mean to us offline and online, how to protect your peace and tools to maintain your boundaries.

Support your friends the same way you'd support Beyoncé if she released an album or tour dates tomorrow. Support does not have to be monetary. It can be simply sharing via social media or word of mouth. You never know how close someone is to giving up (and no this is not a cry out for ~help~), it's called being a good person.
