Fin Kennedy is an award-winning playwright, teacher, and university tutor whose plays are regularly produced in the UK and abroad. He specializes in writing for youth and marginalized communities and also teaches, blogs, campaigns, fundraises and dramaturgs other writers, with a particular focus on young people’s projects in London’s East End. His plays include Protection, the hip-hop musical Locked In, and How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found (Sheffield Crucible, 2007), which won the Arts Council’s John Whiting Award, the first time in forty years that an unproduced script had won the award. Precious Brady Davis is truly a renaissance woman. You may recognize her name from being the first Trans bride on TLC’s Say Yes to The Dress, but she was trailblazing for years before that: promoting diversity advocacy, LGBTQ rights, environmental justice and more.
An award-winning diversity advocate, communications professional, and public speaker, she currently serves as the associate regional communications director at the Sierra Club. She served for three years as the assistant director of diversity recruitment initiatives at Columbia College Chicago, her alma mater, implementing the campus-wide diversity initiative and providing leadership and oversight of national diversity recruitment and inclusion policy initiatives. She also served as the youth outreach coordinator at the Center on Halsted, the largest LGBTQ community center in the Midwest. During Precious's tenure, she launched a $1.6 million CDC HIV prevention grant, which provided outreach, education, youth programming, and testing services to over three thousand young African American and Latinx gay, bi, and trans youth. Geoffey was the principal or sole writer of Nixon; Lindbergh; Reminiscing in Tempo; The Kennedys; The Last Boss; TR; and Abraham and Mary Lincoln: A House Divided - all part of PBS’ “American Experience” series. Geoffrey is also an independent historian and biographer, the author of nine books, among them A First-Class Temperament: the Emergence of Franklin Roosevelt, which won the National Book Critics Circle and Los Angeles Times awards for Best Biography, the Francis Parkman Award of the Society of American Historians in 1989, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He is currently at work on two books: a history of the Partition of India and (with Wynton Marsalis) a history of African American music. He also writes frequently about India and Indian wildlife.
