Safiya Robinson is on a mission, a mission to empower us to think more critically about food, increase our understanding of its power as a healing tool, and shift our focus from the current trend of just clean eating to food justice and holistic wellness.
Safiya is a self-taught cook and through her social enterprise sisterwoman vegan she is educating and creating a community and space for people of colour to explore veganism and wellness.
Safiya is using her role as a creative cook, writer, and speaker to nurture communities and encourage educational conversations surrounding ancestral methods of healing and systemic structures. Fervently championing the world of women.
Safiya uses her personal identity and social media platforms to inspire a new way of thinking.
Sisterwoman Vegan is Safiya's plant-based social enterprise, providing super clubs, food education, and private catering, with a focus on the richness of knowledge found in African diaspora culture and traditions.
She launched sisterwoman Vegan in 2018 a couple of weeks before she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. It was around that time that she was looking into the ancestral ways of healing through food in relation to mental health and so was the birth of sisterwoman vegan.

Two proudly South Africans, Dr. Tshepo P. Maaka and her daughter Kabelo Maaka, are using animation to make the world a better place.
The two have teamed up to create a company called the Cabblow Studios, an award-winning South African animation and illustration film studio.
It was founded in 2017 and creates short films, series, and medical animation.
Their film, ‘3 Teaspoons of Sugar’, focuses on living with diabetes.

Dagmawi Abebe (Dag) is an Ethiopian-born-American Writer, Director, and Editor who immigrated to the United States at the age of 10 and grew up in Virginia. There, he attended the University of Virginia where he majored in Physics and minored in Film Studies. His interest is in creating films that highlight unsung heroes and forgotten communities. After serving as a Lead Editor on the Warner Brothers sponsored feature film, "SAMIR," in 2018, Dag went on to co-direct the Warner Brothers sponsored film, "Voodoo Macbeth," which won the Industry Choice Best Feature award at the 2021 Dances with Films Film Festival and an Independent Spirit Award for Best Director at the 2021 Sedona International Film Festival. His most recent short film, "The Ball Method," received the 2018 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Production Grant. It stars Kiersey Clemons ("Dope"), Wallace Langham ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation"), and Kyle Secor ("Veronica Mars). It premiered at the 2020 Pan African Film Festival and went on to win the Jury Award for Best African American Student Filmmaker at the 2020

Charles A. Honeywood, stage name "Honey Padre" is a Poet, Screen Writer, Director & Recording artist born and raised on the south side of Chicago, IL.
