Mitchyy Mitch, mechanic, landscaper, barber and massage therapist? He's a Clarksvillian that is doing a great job for his community and because of that he has been getting a lot of attention. Some call him a legend, some say he can fix anything, we call him a great guy. Mitchyy Mitch joins the podcast with guest host Garrett Seay.
We had a chance to sit and talk with a couple of local musicians Garrett Seay and J.J. Hankins also known as the 1980. These two guys have an acoustic band and they play all over the city. Their music is awesome! You can find their album "On Acoustic" on Spotify or just about anywhere you listen to music. Ever thought about being a foster family? Clarksville is a growing population and with that comes the need for more community services. There area currently 9000 kids in the Middle Tennessee foster care system. StepStone Family & Youth Services offers free foster parent training and support services in Tennessee. There is a current need for a foster closet in Clarksville. We had an opportunity to speak with Patricia Gaiser from StepStone. Patricia is extremely knowledgeable about foster kids and kids in general. We are happy to shed a little light on this on going problem with the hope that the Clarksville community will help.
Beachaven Winery is another iconic landmark in Clarksville. Since the mid 80's this 3rd generation winery has been making award winning delicious wine and champagne. We were very luck to talk with Abi Scurlock who has been with the winery for 5 years. Abi is extremely knowledgeable about Beachaven wines and their processes. It's been an emotional week in Clarksville. We had a school shooting in Nashville, Two Helicopters crashed near Ft. Campbell, The Sheriff has stopped posting mugshots..It's been a lot.
