Welcome to The Athletes’ Perspective! My name is Hunter Griffin and I will be your host for this sports talk show. I am a college football player and have many struggles and issues I deal with on a daily basis. So, I decided to start a podcast to bring to light some of the struggles student athletes deal with. This podcast will feature a guest or guest each week from different sports and the different struggles each sport deals with while being a student-athlete in college. This podcast will consist of 8 episodes over the course of the next couple of months. These episodes will cover different types of sports, such as football, baseball, volleyball, softball, basketball, and a few others. This podcast will also provide listeners with the latest sports news and talk at the beginning of every episode. The first episode of this eight-episode podcast will be released on February 27th. So, stay tuned for the next eight weeks as we talk about the latest news in the sports world and look into college student athletes' lives and see the ups and downs they deal with. So, if you are a former athlete or even a current athlete at any level, and you are interested in hearing a different side of the sports world, from the athletes' perspective rather than the “experts”, this is the podcast for you.
On the final episode of this podcast, Hunter brings back his first two guests on the show Alex and Jimmy. They talk about the summer and what's coming up for them in the next year and after they graduate next spring.
In this episode, we have three female guests from two different sports. Hunter and the girls talk about the womens basketball national championship controversy, girl sports trash talk, guys hitting on you in the middle of your sports games, and looking good and playing good.
Magno Guillen Jr. is a college basketball player at a D1 NAIA in SAGU. He joins Hunter on the podcast and they talk about all things about being a college athlete, from the struggles of being away from home to talking trash and fan participation.
Hunter brings on guest Marquis Evans a very well-known Social media influencer and teammate. They cover religion, being an influencer, and being married while still being a college athlete and the ups and downs.
Hunter brings on his first female college athlete in Ashlyn Hill, a college volleyball player for SAGU. Hunter and Ashlyn talk about the struggles of being an athlete and the differences between men's and women's sports.
In this episode, Hunter brings on a former teammate from his college football team to go over dealing with life after college athletics is over.
From Concussions to Clothes, in this episode our host Hunter Griffin brings on two of his teammates and they talk all things football.
