Sharing untold but important health truths from a variety of health experts around the world to make getting healthy easier than it currently is. This podcast is for everyone - the general public right through to doctors and nurses who are looking to become informed and empowered about using nutrition and lifestyle as the powerful medicine it is. As a functional medicine nutritional therapist myself (Amy Morris of www.greathealthnaturally.co.uk), my goal is to help evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine become the first choice for people looking to feel great, not the last resort when nothing else has worked. For this to happen, it all starts with improving our health literacy which is what this podcast is here to do!
In today’s episode: "The Pill Bleed Is Not a REAL Period", I explain the difference between a pill bleed.
Many doctors tell their female patients that the bleed they get on the combined oral contraceptive pill (AKA ‘the pill’) is their real natural period, but this is not correct. Check out this episode to learn what the pill bleed actually is and so much more important info!

Farming gets blamed for many of the world's problems, and in many cases this is right.
But what if there was a way to farm without causing all of these problems? Research says there is and this style of farming is called 'Regenerative Agriculture'.
Today's episode features an interview with JP and Pierre Winshaw from Usana farm in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Two brothers who have dedicated their lives to earning an income from regenerative farming methods, which is part of their contribution to feeding the people of South Africa healthier food and leaving nature in a healthy way afterwards.
Emphasis is placed on meeting your farmer and truly getting to know how the animals and land are cared for before you purchase and support farms that might not care about either.
Thank you for listening! To find out more about Usana farm, visit their website: www.winshaw.co.za. To find out more about me Amy Morris, visit my website www.greathealthnaturally.co.uk.
