Why should we recoonect with our inner child: Reconnecting with our inner child and embracing neurodiversity can help us tap into our innate creativity, curiosity, and empathy, and rediscover the joys and passions we may have lost along the way. By embracing our unique strengths and differences, we can cultivate a deeper sense of self-acceptance, self-esteem, and belonging, and learn to appreciate and celebrate the diversity of others. Additionally, by promoting autism inclusivity and neurodiversity in our communities, we can create more supportive and empowering environments for people with autism and other neurodivergent conditions, and foster a culture of kindness, respect, and empathy that can […]

In this episode of Inside the Aspergers Studio I talk with Angela Myer author of The Undetected Narcissist and podcast by the same name.

This is a very deep episode because we talk about her son and what she had to do to get him all the support she needed for him no thanks to her ex.  She talks about all things that she had to finally convice thearpist and judges and you name it, that were supposed to help her son but were convinced by her ex that he son was more than capable when he really wasn't.

We talk about her and her podcast and where she is now.

This is a very emotional episode episode, well any episode where you have a parent talking about their kids. But I highly suggest you listen to this show and you go check out her podcast the same name as her book.

The problem with people today is when they see those of us on the spectrum, they really dont see the other side of the situation and what we go through on a daily basis.

Hey everyone,

in this episode of Inside the Asperger Studio: Stories. I talk with Patty .

This is a very interesting episode of stories because we learn about Patty Laushman and her struggle she had with getting her son diagnosed with ASD and we find out that she may have ADHD as well.  We talk a bit about how she tried all methods to help her son thrive in the world and how she finally went with of the the most controversial methods which is ABA Therapy.

This is one of the most controversial because in the ASD community because of the ways the therapist goes about helping the client but like Patty said, it depends on the therapist you get. Patty swears by the therapist she got and he has helped her son in a way that he is able to succeeded in ways no other way could.

Now you are probably wonder why it is so controversial. Well as a friend told me there was a video going around the net with a therapist holding down the child's arms and retraining him from flapping.  Flapping is one of the ways those of us on the spectrum stimulate to comfort ourselves.

Patty also talks how she had a few businesses and how she came to start her Life Coaching service.  If you listen to end she is offering a free 30 minute session with her, but you have to listen to end of podcast for the website to go to.

Hello Aspies,

I know I have talked about love, and loss but this thing I want to talk about Loss in general.

There are two types of loss we deal with, one is a death, someone we loved or who has touched out lives and left a whole in it, the other is when we endure a break-up and we we are deal with the breakup. Either way it's a tough thing to deal with.

I myself have dealt with loss in my family, I have lost my father, cousins, and close family friends. and most recently my beloved dog Mocha. Know we all deal with loss in so many different ways. I know as aspies its hard to figure out what to do, because our mind doesn't process information like most so I am going to give you some sound advice.

One the first things people will try to tell you, is to move on from it. What people don't realize we all mourn in different times, yes time does heal our wounds, but that wound is still there. A break up or loss of a loved one is something hard to just come over. Take your time, mediate and look back at your own life and realize that life is precious and enjoy while you still have it.

Another thing people will tell you if they are cold hearted is to suck it up or be strong. You have the right to tell these people to bugger off, this you time to grieve the why you want to. Yes you need to be strong but not when you heart is shattered from shock.

Some things you can to do help you get through these hard times are: * Seek out a friend and talk to to them. * Find some alone time and meditate to help clear you mind * Keep yourself busy so you don't dwell on things (This is good, because it will help fight off depression) * If you have a pet cuddle with them. Pets are know to sense emotions from us. They can give you that unconditional love and support you need. * Talk to a family member * Try to do things that help you remember the good times. in both loss or breakup.

Life is very fragile, you try as you might to not cause any waves but something always happens. You make promises, you try to be that good son or daughter, but something always pops up. DO NOT BLAME YOURSELF. God works in mysterious ways. Either the relationship wasn't meant to be or it was their time to go.

Lastly I leave you with this poem.

"The people you have in your life grow and occupy space in the tapestry that makes up your life. When they are gone, it makes a hole where they used to be. The memories and love are still there and may always be there. So don’t look at your tapestry as filled with holes- look at it as your own unique lace pattern. The pattern isn’t over, but it is constantly changing. The pain of loss doesn’t ever really go away, but it does lessen over time."
