Growing up in West Virginia between coal mines and a power generation compound, energy production has always been a part of Lynn Lyon’s daily life. Passionate about driving energy transformation with alternative fuel systems, Lynn discusses the advancements in natural gas and leaders in alternative fuels with host, Ray Schilens.
Thomas Meister took up his position as Consul General in Houston during the summer of 2017. As Consul General, he is leading Germany’s engagement in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma. His responsibilities include developing and strengthening political ties between Germany and the consular district, enhancing trade and investment partnerships, cooperation in the field of culture, promoting science and innovation links and rendering consular assistance to the large number of German nationals who call this region their home.

Susan M. Shifflett, President of the Texas Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance and President of S3-Serivces, has worked in the natural gas and propane vehicle markets for over 20 years.
As President of the Texas Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance, Ms. Shifflett focuses on developing new and expanding natural gas transportation markets and refueling stations in the State of Texas using industry initiatives, government programs, energy education and community relations.
Her company, S3- Services provides safety training and grant writing to private and public companies making the switch to natural gas and propane.
Ms. Shifflett, previously worked at the Railroad Commission of Texas in the Alternative Fuels Research and Education Division and served as the Dallas Fort Worth Clean Cities Coordinator for the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
She holds a BS and MS in Environmental Science from Texas Christian University. She currently resides in Burton, Texas with her husband, Ron.
