is it about your beliefs? is it about being perfect or free from any and all lower states of consciousness Fear, Grief, Shame, Anger, Apathy?

Today, people of every culture interconnect in our common search to find the meaning of life. Many believe the key to unlocking happiness and health is gained by spiritual enlightenment. They identify with spiritual influencers whose message rings true to the foundation of their existing beliefs. Some find influencers who offer interesting insights into alternate spiritual views. And some discover spiritual influencers who entirely shift their paradigm, opening hidden passages for understanding their place in the universe—an interconnected, conscious universe in which we’re all part.
**Our conscious interconnected world is going through an enormous spiritual awareness change. Thanks to the internet and social media, we have far more access to influencers who have amazing grasps on human spirituality. Cyberspace is the new spiritual frontier. Many of the trailblazers are spiritual pioneers who have immense numbers of digitally connected followers. They understand the power of the web. They also know how to tap extraordinary states of consciousness and help others to find inner peace within cosmic chaos.
These world wide web followers aren’t all new age junkies seeking a trip with the next trendy mystic. Most are seeking solid, influential leadership. They’re looking for leaders with depth of character that match the reach of their cyber connections—spiritual influencers with integrity, wisdom, perseverance, discernment and, above all, genuine honesty and appreciation of truth. They’re the same characteristics people want for themselves.
Here is a list of some of those spiritual leaders that I have found on my journey.**
Unity uses “affirmative prayer.” Rather than begging or beseeching God, this method involves connecting with the spirit of God within and asserting positive beliefs about the desired outcome. Affirmative prayer is the same method of prayer Jesus taught when he said, “So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).
Metaphysicians believe that thoughts transmit magnetic energy and this energy attracts other energy of the same frequency. Whether you are conscious of it or not, your thoughts are transmitting energy that is attracting more of the same. When you remain focused on your intentions, you will draw those things into your life.
“Prayer is ineffective when it is accompanied or followed by negative thinking, or the endless repeating of affirmations. We have to put power and intensity into our thought, change our thought, and believe in the guidance we are receiving.
“If we spend energy on negative beliefs and feelings, we will get negative results, even if we and others pray daily for us. For example, if you pray for a job and then complain to others that you have no job or can't find one, you are undermining your prayer.”
There are five key elements of affirmative prayer:
Recognition, Unification, Realization, Thanksgiving and Release.
Knowledge itself is now global. This means that, also for the first time, the sum total of human knowledge is available to us—the knowledge, experience, wisdom and reflection of all major human civilizations—premodern, modern, and postmodern—are open to study by anyone.
What if we took literally everything that all the various cultures have to tell us about human potential—about spiritual growth, psychological growth, social growth—and put it all on the table?
What if we attempted to find the critically essential keys to human growth, based on the sum total of human knowledge now open to us?
It is a map of all human knowledge which Ken says turns “out to be surprisingly simple and elegant”.
The founder of Integral Theory is contemporary American thinker and writer Ken Wilber who is often regarded as “the Einstein of consciousness” and some think his work is as much a game changer for the 21st century as Freud was for the 20th century in psychology or Einstein in physics.
We are on the cusp of a major cultural transformation, akin to the enlightenment of the 18th century, and the civil rights movement of the 1960s. We can witness the markers of the Integral Age as we see greater degrees of holistic thinking emerging in all areas of life: medicine, politics, relationships, business, parenting, art, spirituality, and community. However, the tipping point will not happen on its own; it requires us to take responsibility to cultivate wholeness in our own lives… which invites others around us to do the same.
Integral theory has five major topics:

- The Lines of Development
- The States of Consciousness
- And Types of Personality, and other types
Today we are discussing a movement that has allowed me to expand my approach to God and how i view my individual responsibilities on earth and how I explore my spirituality.

New Age/New Thought - A Unity Perspective
The teachings of Jesus are central to Unity.
The term "New Age" refers to a nonhomogeneous mixture of attitudes, beliefs, concerns, fads, and theories that constitute the thinking of a wide spectrum of people. It includes a new interest in ancient Eastern religions, yoga, and meditation; a revival of interest in spiritualism, but with the new name of channeling; and the practice of astrology, graphology, phrenology, palmistry, and numerology.
Unity has always felt that there are many roads to God. We believe that there is truth and spiritual help to be found in the scriptures of all the great world religions. We are glad that there are many different churches because human beings are at many different levels of spiritual understanding. The religious practices that help some to approach God and to unfold their spiritual potential might not be acceptable or useful to others.
We bless every religion and philosophy that helps people live God-centered, loving, productive lives.

God is absolute good, everywhere present.

Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within. Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are inherently good, also.

Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God- Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the Truth that he or she knows."
These are Unity's well-defined teachings. Unity teaches the omnipresence of God, which implies the presence of God within all humankind. It teaches that God made each person to be perfect even as God is perfect. Unity teaches that the Christ indwells every individual, and that Jesus Christ demonstrated this for us.
He did so as the great example, not the great exception.
It teaches individual responsibility. Unity constantly and invariably directs the individual to the divinity within for greater spiritual understanding, solutions to problems; resolutions of conflict; spiritual, mental, and physical healing, and greater demonstrations of the abundant life.
The "New Age" truly begins for any one of us when we are able to make the teachings of Jesus Christ work in our lives. This is not dependent upon time, the position of the planets, nor upon the teachings of other people -- on this or any other plane. It is an inner, spiritual journey that can be undertaken at any time.
This is the "New Age" that Unity seeks to teach -- triumphant living which is available to us all.
