If Ephesians 2:10 is true, then there is a work that you were created to do, and the goal of this podcast is to help you identify that and do lots of it. In each episode, we will hear stories from creative entrepreneurs on how they found their niche and how you can find meaning in the work that you do as well. The podcast is hosted by Austen Haney, a wedding videographer out of Raleigh, NC.
I stumbled across the book "Redefining Rich" recently and proceeded to spend that afternoon and most of the evening reading every page. The booked hooked me for several reasons, it was full of humor and personal stories, but it also gave some perspective that has really been beneficial to both my life and my business.
In today's episode, I got to sit down with the author of the book, Shannon Hayes and dive deeper into some of the concepts that really resonated with me. We talked about building a life around your values, shifting from "balance" to "integration" and identifying our sources of true wealth.
If you're an entrepreneur, I want to seriously recommend that you pick up a copy of Shannon's book and think about how you can integrate some of these principles into the work you do!

Jordan Nickerson is one of the coolest entrepreneurs I've ever met because he's willing to try something, even if it doesn't work out.
A few years ago, Jordan and his wife Holly saw a need in the community for a memorable desert experience. A place where you could gather with family and friends to enjoy time together and eat some delicious food.
Jordan was getting his MBA at the time, but he thought he could learn more if he actually owned a business, and so while on a date with his wife, they sketched out what would come to be known as Rookies--an ice cream and cookie food truck with great aesthetics and an even better customer experience!
Since that time, Rookies has only continued to grow and in this episode we get to chat with Jordan about what he has learned along the way and his advice to up and coming entrepreneurs.
Enjoy!

Have you ever met someone who just always seemed to have a well-timed word for the season you were in? Who was calm when you were freaking out? Who helped you trust God when you didn't know what to do? Patty Stallings has been a friend like that for me. And while I would love to give her all the credit, she would be quick to tell you that it's not her that is able to do that, it's Jesus.
And so in today's episode, we talk about cultivating an intimate friendship with Him. The type that will help you become like the tree Jeremiah describes that is planted by streams of water and sends its roots out towards the stream. The type that doesn't fear when heat comes; whose leaves are always green. The type who doesn't worry in a year of drought and never ceases to bear fruit.
I don't know about you, but I want to be a person like that, and I'm so grateful for people like Patty who have shown me that it's possible.
When I think of Yusuph's story, I think of the classic phrase that what the enemy meant for evil, God used for good. As a child, Yusuph was abandoned by his parents and grew up on the streets in Tanzania. He experienced a sense of hopelessness that is hard for many of us to even imagine, but all the while, God was pursuing Him. Years later, and now Yusuph is leading Twelve21 Global, a ministry serving the spiritual, educational, and healthcare needs of the most remote areas in Tanzania. In this episode we not only get to know Yusuph and the transformation that God has done in his life, but we also learn about Twelve21 and the redemptive work that God is doing through them.

Episode 4 of the podcast is here and it’s with someone who has had a big impact on me personally!
Chris and Catherine were some of my youth pastors back in the day and they really showed up for us and modeled what it looked like to live your life on mission. Recently, they planted Hope Church in Johns Creek Georgia, and I got to chat with Chris about what that process has been like and how he sensed that God was leading his family.
Episode 3 is here y'all and it's a good one!! I got to sit down with Nichole Lauren who is a wedding photographer and recent bride based in Greenville, South Carolina. The first time I met Nichole was at a styled shoot that she hosted where we were taking pictures of a couple with a jet. It was soooo cool, and so after I went up to her and asked how in the world had she managed to get a jet for a photoshoot. Her answer has stuck with me to this day, "I just asked." In this episode we talk about the power of asking, experimenting, putting yourself out there, and owning what you do. Pumped for you to tune in!
