Michael A. Malcom
Father Jack Gleason is the pastor of St. Bernard of Clairvaux parish in Tulsa. He recently took a sabbatical during which he walked the Camino.
Fr. Jack grew up in Blackwell OK with his 3 siblings.
He was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Tulsa in 1995. He has served as the Vocation Director for the Diocese of Tulsa, Chaplain at the Newman Center at the University of Tulsa, and Pastor at the Church of the Madalene and the Church of Saint Mary before his current assignment as pastor at St. Bernards.
Fr. Jack is an avid Oklahoma State University fan where he graduated with a degree in Psychology. He worked in Student Services at OSU for 3 years before entering the Seminary. Fr. Jack did pre-theology studies at Conception seminar, received his STB in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and his STL in dogma/sacramental theology from the Pontifical Athenaeum, also in Rome.

Deacon Alan Mikell was ordained to the permanent diaconate in 1996 and serves as a deacon at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.He grew up in Baton Rouge LA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.He is currently the Director of Prison Ministry for the diocese and is very involved with Kairos Prison Ministry. Over the years he has served on many boards including Bishop Kelley High School, Palmer Drug Abuse program, and the Diocesan Diaconate Council.He has been married to his wife, Ginger, for 50 years. Dustin Samford is the Coordinator of youth activities at the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma.
Growing up, Dustin moved quite a bit due to his fathers service in the Air Force. His family settled in Pryor, Oklahoma when his fathers service ended.
Dustin earned his Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications from Oklahoma State University. After graduation, Dustin worked for Americorp and was placed at Catholic Charities. When his volunteer commitment was over he was the youth minister in Owasso, Oklahoma at St. Henry’s and later worked at Claire House in Tulsa as the program manager.
Dustin and his wife, Abby, are parishioners at the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa.

Karlo Broussard is a Catholic Answer’s apologist and speaker working in the Diocese of Tulsa to offer apologetical, catechetical, and evangelization training to the faithful.
Karlo has published articles on a variety of subjects in Catholic Answers Magazine, is a regular guest on Catholic Answers Live, and is an active writer for Catholic Answers Magazine Online. Karlo holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in theology from Catholic Distance University and the Augustine Institute, along with a masters in philosophy from Holy Apostles College and Seminary.
He lives with his wife, Jaqueline, and their five children here in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Monsignor Patrick Gaalaas was born in Minneapolis, MN and ordained to the priesthood August 12, 1972. He received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and a baccalaureate of sacred theology and master’s degree in moral & religious science from the University of Louvain in Belgium.Msgr. Gaalaas has served many parishes in the diocese of Tulsa including Church of the Madalene in Tulsa, St. John in Stillwater, Immaculate Conception in Poteau, St. Joseph in Muskogee, Sts. Peter and Paul in Tulsa, St. Benedicts in Broken Arrow, and St. Bernards in Tulsa. In addition, he has served in a number of key administrative positions, including Vicar General from 2004-2010 and Chancellor from 1990-1995. He was also very active in ecumenism in the diocese.He is retired and currently works as a spiritual director at Conception Seminary College in northwestern Missouri.
Leigha Liuzza is an artist and co-founder of Zelie Creative Co., an art business where she focuses on using her creativity to honor God. She also combines her faith and artistic gifts to lead retreats and classes.Leigha received a BA in Studio Art from Oklahoma State University. She is a certified kindergarten through 12th grade art educator and, after graduation, taught art for 8 years at her Alma Mater, Mount St. Mary’s in Oklahoma City.She is married to her husband, Steven, and they have 3 young children.

Mr. Ken Coughlin is a retired award winning, distinguished teacher who served as the Chair of the Theology Department at Bishop Kelley High School for 27 years.
He grew up on the South Side of Chicago and attended high school seminary at Quigley Preparatory Seminary South, then attended the minor seminary for the Archdiocese of Chicago for two years of college before discerning the priesthood was not his vocation. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois, a Masters in Religious Education from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Masters in Theology from the University of Notre Dame.
Along with his 42 years working as a high school teacher, Ken has also taught in 17 parishes in the Diocese of Tulsa, served as an adjunct professor at St. Gregory’s University, and was a teacher in the permanent diaconate program.
He has 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
Rosemary Metzler works at St. Joseph’s Monastery in Tulsa and is a Benedictine Oblate there. She is a parishioner here at the Church of Saint Mary.
Rosemary grew up as an Army brat living mostly on the East Coast and in Germany. Home Base for Rosemary is Philadelphia where her brother and sister reside. Rosemary has worked in a number of areas from being a Vietnamese linguist for the NSA to being an executive secretary to working at a lumber mill.
Most recently Rosemary traveled to Rome to meet with Pope Francis as representative of Benedictine Oblates in Tulsa.
Rosemary is a widow. She helped raise 4 children and has 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Father Shane Hewson is the associate pastor at St. Bernard of Clairvaux in Tulsa.Fr. Shane was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Tulsa in 2019. He grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and attended the Church of St. Benedict. Fr. Shane graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. He attended Seminary in Ohio at the Athenaeum of Ohio and received his Masters in Catholic Studies. Sr. Catherine Martinez entered the Benedictine Sisters at St. Joseph’s Monastery in Tulsa in 1985 and made vows in 1990.
She grew up in Orange County California. Sr. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science In Elementary Education from Langston University and a Master of Arts in Theology with an emphasis in Spirituality and a minor in Scripture from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota.
She currently serves as the Adult Education Site coordinator and HiSet administrator at Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma.
Mark Ohnesorge is a Captain at the Tulsa Police Department and is currently assigned to the Police Academy over recruitment and training.He grew up in a military family, traveling all over the world before graduating from High School in Enid, Oklahoma. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Oklahoma. He taught in public schools for one year before joining the Tulsa Police Department in 2008. Mark has held many positions within the Tulsa Police department and has helped develop numerous classes for law enforcement training. He is a Commissioner on Mayor G.T. Bynum's Greater Tulsa Area Hispanic and Latinx Affairs Commission and serves on the Church of Saint Mary Pastor’s team. Mark is married to his lovely wife, Maggie, and they have 6 kids who keep them busy with school, church, and sports.Mark appears on this podcast as a Catholic and as a parishioner of the Church of Saint Mary, and does not speak on behalf of the Tulsa Police Department.

Sister Mary Pieta Geier entered the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal in 2005 and made final vows in 2012.She grew up Catholic and was raised in Garden City Kansas. Sr. Mary Pieta attended Benedictine College where she studied Music Education and Theology.She has served in the Bronx, East Harlem, and England and is currently serving as the Postulant Director for the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal in NYC and she is also the daughter of Church of Saint Mary parishioner, Linda Geier.
Kylee Hernandez is the Development Manager of Watts of Love, a global non-profit bringing people the power to lift themselves out of the darkness of poverty through solar lighting and financial literacy training.
Kylee was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and graduated last May from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois with a degree in International Relations. During her time in college, her research focus was human trafficking and the impacts that poverty had globally on trafficking rates.
She has been contributing to Watt’s growth and success as a part of the Development team since entering as an intern in September of 2021. Kylee started full time upon graduation in May of 2022.

Melissa is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Global Foundation for Peroxisomal Disorders, an international nonprofit public charity and patient advocacy group focused on empowering families and funding groundbreaking research on peroxisomal disorders.
Melissa is a graduate of the School of Saint Mary, Bishop Kelley High School and the University of Tulsa, she taught 3rd and 4th grade in Union Public Schools for 5 years before becoming a stay-at-home mother to her first child, Ginny (born in 2008). After a nearly 2- year diagnostic odyssey, her daughter, Ginny, was diagnosed with a peroxisomal disorder. Feeling a huge sense of isolation, she set out to find other parents on a similar journey. Her desire to raise funds for research, connect and support families, and promote awareness of peroxisomal disorders led to the formation of the Global Foundation for Peroxisomal Disorders (GFPD) in October of 2010.
Bryce considers her greatest vocation and blessing in life to be a mother to her three children, Ginny (deceased in 2015), Jack, and Avery. She enjoys playing golf, tennis, riding bikes and playing outside and swimming with Jack and Avery.

Bobby Nichols is a rector for Keenan Hall at the University of Notre Dame. He is preparing to join the Jesuits to discern a vocation to religious life.
Bobby grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and earned a Bachelor's degree in Theology from Xavier University. He returned to Lousiville following graduation to teach theology and to serve as the assistant director of campus ministry at his alma mater, St. Xavier High School. He then completed a masters degree in Ministry and Theology from Villanova University.
He is an avid walker and walked the Camino de Santiago in 2016 and 2019.

Fr. Donald Wolf is the pastor of the new Blessed Fr. Stanley Rother Shrine in Oklahoma City and a cousin of Fr. Rother.
Father Wolf grew up on a farm near OKC and attended Oklahoma State University before discerning a call to the priesthood. He received his Master of Divinity from St. Meinrad Seminary and Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Seabury-Western School of Theology. Fr. Wolf was ordained to the priesthood in 1981 for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
His ministry has been principally among the Spanish speaking.He has served as vicar for Hispanic Ministry of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Chairman of the Board of Catholic Charities, and was elected President of the National Federation of Priests' Councils and served in that position at the national office in Chicago from 1997 to 2000.

Sr. Barbara Austin and Fr. Steve Austin are siblings.Sr. Barbara and Fr. Steve grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma, educated by the Benedictine sisters. Sr. Barbara entered the Benedictine Sisters at St. Joseph’s Monastery in Tulsa in 1965 and made final vows in 1971. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Tulsa and a Masters in Religious Studies from St. Meinrad School of Theology. Sr. Barbara taught at Madelene school and Monte Cassino school, worked as the religious education director at Monte Cassino High School, and is a former Prioress at St. Joseph’s Monastery. She is currently the Lectio Retreat director, a spiritual director, and the formation director all at St. Joseph’s Monastery.Fr. Steve Austin is a priest for the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma and was ordained in 1984. He attended Oklahoma State University, North Carolina State, and conception seminary before receiving his Master of Divinity from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. He has pastored several churches in the diocese and is currently the pastor of St. Francis de Sales Church in Idabel, Oklahoma. He studied furniture manufacturing and even made the bedroom suite that he uses today. Fr. Steve is also a photographer and has two nationally published pictures.
Randall Snapp is a Tulsa attorney whose focus and expertise is employment law.
Randall grew up with his four siblings in Newton, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas and holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Juris Doctor in law, and an MBA, all from the University of Kansas.
Randall has served on many boards including Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma, Bishop Kelley High School, the Tulsa Ballet, and Big Brother Big Sisters of Green Country.
He is a lifelong Catholic and is a parishioner of the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa. Randall has been married to Beth for thirty years and they have four children.
Randall enjoys baking bread and playing pickleball.
Father Michael Pratt is the current Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Tulsa and is the incoming Vice Rector of the North American College seminary in Rome.
Father Pratt is a native of Stillwater, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University. Halfway through college, he began discerning a call to the priesthood. He enrolled in the Seminary of St. John Vianney in Minnesota. He continued his post-secondary education at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., where he obtained a degree in philosophy. After graduation, Fr. Pratt to Rome to continue priestly studies for the next five years. There he earned a bachelor’s degree in theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas and a licentiate degree in theology from the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family Studies.
Father Pratt developed a groundbreaking video series to help young men and women discern a call to religious life.
This summer, he will become the Vice Rector of the prestigious North American College in Rome.
Emily & Daniel McCay are a young married Catholic couple.
Daniel is the Multimedia Manager for the Diocese of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma. Emily is the Music Teacher for All Saints Catholic School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Daniel grew up in Tulsa and received a degree from Oklahoma State University in Multimedia Journalism. Emily is from Dallas. She earned her degree in Music from Oklahoma State University.
They have been married for one year and are expecting their first child.
Ellie Rocco is a senior at Bishop Kelley High School and is on the state's Make a Wish leadership board.
Ellie grew up attending the School of Saint Mary. In 2017, following her sixth grade year, Ellie was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and moved to St. Jude for treatment. She continued chemotherapy until the end of her freshman year at Bishop Kelley.
After graduation Ellie plans to attend Missouri State University and major in Child Life Studies.
Currently, Ellie is involved in the Bishop Kelley Fine Arts program, she is the Publicity Officer for Student Council, and is on the Make a Wish Youth Leadership board. She is also a Brother Bernadine Scholar and created a Diagnosis Bundle for patients and families diagnosed with cancer moving to St. Jude.

Fr. Allesandro Calderoni was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma in June of 2021 and is currently the associate pastor at the Church of St. Benedict in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
At the age of 10 he moved from Monterey, Mexico to Muskogee, Oklahoma. Fr. Allesandro attended NSU in Tahlequah before transferring to Conception Seminary where he received his MDiv. He studied in Rome at the Gregorianum and holds an advanced degree in spirituality.
He loves to read history and CS Lewis and enjoys hiking and going new places.

Mark Wollmershauser is a retired Tulsa police officer.
Mark and his brother are currently building a new Outreach Center for the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa.
Mark was born in Des Moines, Iowa and lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and Daytona Beach, Florida before settling in Tulsa at the age of sixteen. He is a Bishop Kelley High School graduate. He attended University of Oklahoma and then began work in the construction industry in 1971. He worked doing remodel jobs and then he and his brother bought a lumber company. In 1984 Mark changed careers joined the Tulsa Police Department. He holds an associates degree in Criminal Justice and while at OU he studied American Sign Language, psychology, and ethics.
Mark is an avid volunteer and has been heavily involved in Special Olympics, the Church of Saint Mary Encore board, Home Improvement Ministry, and Outreach Ministry.
He has been married to Peggy for 51 years and they have two children and two grandchildren.

Deacon Rich Bender, a permanent Deacon at the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa, will soon retire from his role as Director of Faith Formation and Pastoral care. Deacon Rich joined the staff at the Church of Saint Mary after working for American Airlines in telecommunications - data and voice networks, for 35 years. He was ordained to the permanent diaconate for the diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma in 1998. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. Originally from Cincinnati, Dcn. Rich was drafted and served in the air force during the Vietnam war. He married his wife Jane shortly after his return and they moved to Tulsa for a promotion with American Airlines. He and Jane have been married for 46 years. They have three daughters and 10 grandchildren.
Nick Bernard is a seminarian for the Diocese of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma.
Nick grew up attending Marquette Catholic School and the Parish of Christ the King in Tulsa. He graduated from Bishop Kelley in 2016 and holds a dual degree in Theology and Catholic Studies from Saint Louis University.
After graduation Nick spent a year as a novice with the Society of Jesus,after which he worked at Bishop Kelley as a substitute teacher and campus minister. Currently, Nick is studying as a seminarian for the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma. He just finished his first semester at Saint Meinrad Seminary in Southern Indiana.
Nick loves to read, to practice weight lifting, to rewatch the same marvel movies over and over and to try to be friends with his cat, Miss Bee.
Adrian Meneses is a seminarian for the Diocese of Tulsa and is spending his pastoral year at the Church of Saint Mary.
Adrian grew up in a suburb of Mexico City. Adrian holds a Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology, a Masters in Philosophical Studies, a License in Philosophy, and a Bachelor’s Degree of Ecclesial Philosophy. He has worked as a postgraduate research assistant, as an assistant lecturer at the University of Guadalajara, and as a French teacher.
He enjoys cooking, movies, walks, and prayer.

Jack Crews is a retired lawyer who specialized in trial practice in Tulsa.
Jack grew up Little Rock, Arkansas and was a lifelong Methodist. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1969 with a BS in Mathematics, was called up in 1969 and served two years in the US Army in Vietnam, and received his law degree from the University of Tulsa in 1974.
He was received into the Catholic Church at the Church of Saint Mary in 2010. He is an active parishioner serving as a Eucharistic Minister, greeter, and Encore Board member. He also leads the Home Improvement Ministry and the Water Ministry here at the Church.
Jack has been married to his wife, Sandy for 53 years and has two children and 3 grandchildren.

In prayer we should freely unburden ourselves to God, telling him, our Lord and Master, in the most familiar and confidential way everything, great and small, of heaven or of earth, much or little. Opening our heart and pouring it all out to him without reserve, recounting its burdens, its sins, its aspirations. Revealing our whole self, seeking repose in his company as with a friend on whom one relies and to whom one makes known alike the good and the bad. This is what Holy Scripture calls pouring out his heart like water in the divine presence, manifesting not only what is of importance but the least thing.

Sister Marie Therese Long is the prioress of Saint Joseph Monastery and president of the Board of Directors at Monte Cassino School.
She was raised in Spirit Lake, Iowa, graduated from Briar Cliff College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received her Certificate in Religious Formation from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.
Sister Marie Therese entered the Benedictine Sisters at Saint Joseph Monastery in Tulsa in 1993 and made her perpetual monastic profession in 1999.
She is also a musician and teacher at the School of Lectio at the monastery.

Patrick Martin is the superintendent of Osage Nations Schools, Daposka Ahnkodapi ("Our School" in Osage).
Patrick is a member of the Osage Nation and a lifelong Catholic. He grew up in Tulsa and attended the Church of Saint Mary through High School.
He received a BA in English and French, an BA in Philosophy from the Atheneum Regina Apostolorum, and an MA in Education from Southern Nazarene. Patrick spent 5 years in Mexico and Europe doing missionary work, worked for the Diocese of Tulsa in Hispanic Ministry, and at the TU Newman center in Campus Ministry. He then taught Spanish, Latin, French, and Italian at Central High School, was the principal for 17 years at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School, and is currently the Superintendent at Osage Nation Schools in Pawhuska.

Peggy Wollmershauser worked as a school teacher for 33 years and is currently working as an artist and serving as a pastoral care coordinator.
She attended the School of Saint Mary, graduated from Bishop Kelley High School, and earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma. Peggy has been involved with Special Olympics for many years because their daughter, Amy, is a special Olympics athlete. She is also committed to ministering to the homeless in Tulsa each Saturday morning. Peggy runs a network of ministries which give support to caregivers, to those who are grieving, and to those who have miscarried or lost an infant.
She has been married to Mark for 51 years and they have two children and two grandchildren.

Dr. Kevin Donovan is the former Director of the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics at Georgetown University where he remains as a faculty member and Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics.
He is
a clinician ethicist with over 40 years of experience in the fields of pediatrics and bioethics.
Kevin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma as well as his Masters in Bioethics. He trained in pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, completed fellowships in pediatric gastroenterology at the Children Hospital of Oklahoma and the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland, and was board certified In Pediatric Gastroenterology. Prior to his return to Georgetown, Kevin had served as Section Chief, Vice Chair, Interim Chair and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine – Tulsa, where he was the founding Director of the Oklahoma Bioethics Center.
Viviana Suarez and Deb Malcom are the Adult Faith Formation Director and Youth Minister, respectively, for the Church of Saint Benedict in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Born in Mexico and having served another local parish for years, Viviana brings a passion for spreading the faith to her role as the adult faith formation director at the Church of Saint Benedict. Deb's love of youth ministry comes from her own experience as a very young parishioner growing up at the church which now employs her.

Ray Vandiver is the Executive Director at Discovery Lab, Tulsa’s Children's museum.
Ray discovered his passion and talent for informal education while earning his Ph.D. in physics from Missouri University of Science and Technology. While a graduate student, he joined a group of hands-on learning enthusiasts and helped create the Meramec Science and Technology Learning Center.
Ray has been a leader in informal education and exhibit design for over 25 years. He started his career in 1993 as the founding director of the Bootheel Youth Museum (BYM) in Malden, Missouri—a National Medal winner awarded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Prior to moving to Tulsa, Ray served as a member of the senior leadership team at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI).
Ray is also an artist and a musician. He and Donna have been married for 33 years and have a son, Aaron, who lives in Michigan.
Ronald J. Tremblay has served as Vice President and Chief Mission Integration Officer for Ascension St. John for three years. Ron joined healthcare nine years ago as a Chaplain after serving as a Pastoral Minister (JR & Sr Youth Ministry, DRE & Sacramental Prep, chaplain for Marquette School and ECDC, marriage prep, Music Ministry for 5pm Sunday C.R.E.W.) at Christ the King for over 18 years. He holds a Masters in Counseling from Oklahoma State University, and Masters in Divinity from the University of St. Mary of the Lake, Chicago, Illinois. Currently Ron oversees Mission Integration for the Oklahoma Ministry Market of Ascension including Ethics, Associate Formation and Spiritual Care. He also has responsibility for Ascension St. John’s Human Trafficking Response efforts, their DEI work known as ABIDE and the Auxillury/Volunteer program. Originally from Minnesota, Ron is an Eagle Scout, and served as a reservist in the Minnesota Army National Guard for ten years. He has been married to his wife, Susan, for 28 years. They have two children. Among other things he likes to read, bike, and hike.

Deacon Kevin Sartorius is the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma.
He holds a degree in Political Science from Oklahoma State University with a certificate in International Relations and has a Certificate in Catholic Social Teaching from Catholic University of America.
Deacon Kevin was ordained to the permanent Diaconate for the Diocese of Tulsa in 2011.
Dcn. Kevin and his wife, Jennifer have seven children, the youngest being 7 years old. Their oldest daughter has recently made her first profession of vows in the Carmelite Order and aspires to spend her life in prayer for the world.
Dcn. Kevin’s family lives and home schools on 20 acres surrounded by other Catholic families who share the same goal for a simpler way of life.
Mr. Garrett Schilling is a Middle School Science teacher, a Cavalry Scout for the Oklahoma National Guard, and the newly hired Youth Minister at the Church of Saint Mary.
Garrett grew up in an Army family and at age 16 moved to Tulsa. He was baptized Catholic, raised Protestant, and rejoined the Catholic Church in February.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation Management, a Masters of Effective Teaching, and is working on his Masters in School Administration.
This summer Garrett will attend training with the Oklahoma National Guard, get married, and co-direct the Diocesan youth Summer camp. He will officially begin as the youth minister here at the Church of Saint Mary August 1.

Fr. Stuart Crevcoure is the incoming pastor of the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa.
Father Stuart grew up in Green Bay Wisconsin with two siblings. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Tulsa and a Master of Arts in Theology, with highest honor, from Saint Vincent Seminary in 2000. In 2001 he received a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from Saint Vincent Seminary, in affiliation with the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C., with highest honor, becoming the first student to receive the degree since the program was instituted in 2000.
Ordained to the priesthood in 2001, he has served several parishes in the diocese and is coming from St. Brigid Parish in Tahlequah to serve as the new pastor at the Church of Saint Mary.

Father Josh Litwack is a priest in 2000 for the Diocese of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma.
In his twenty-two years as a priest he has served a number of parishes and schools as an associate pastor, a chaplain, and a pastor.
This summer, Father Josh will become the pastor of St. Pius X Church and School.
Father Josh shares how tee ball and a kind priest led him to consider the priesthood. He shares his conviction of God's call to the priesthood and to serve the people of St. Pius X.
Fr. Duy Nguyen is the full time chaplain at Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He grew up with his 6 siblings in Vietnam and immigrated to Tulsa when he was 16. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Catholic studies from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and Masters of Divinity and Masters of Theology from the Athenaeum of Ohio.
Fr. Duy was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Tulsa in 2017. Fr. Duy served as the associate pastor at the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa and works in the diocesan tribunal office.
He enjoys traveling, being with family and friends, and cooking.
Mrs. Susan Lang is the soon-to-be-retired 7th grade teacher at the School of Saint Mary.
She grew up in Tulsa and graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.A in History and secondary education and an MA in humanities. Susan attended the First Christian Church in Tulsa and became Catholic 12 years ago.
She has taught at Marquette, Monte Cassino, and Holy Family Catholic schools before becoming a real estate agent for McGraw Realtor in 1992. After 15 years as a realtor, Susan returned to teaching at the School of Saint Mary and has been the 7th grade teacher for the past 13 years.
She and her husband Brint have two children and 4 grandchildren.

He grew up in Carthage, Missouri and at age ten moved moved to Hutchinson, Kansas. David was raised Presbyterian and converted to the Catholic Church when he was a senior in college.
He holds a BA in English and Education and a minor in Classics from the University of Kansas and an MA in Classics, also from KU. David has been a middle school, high school teacher, a professor at KU, and a principal/headmaster of different schools for the past 39 years.
He and his wife, Lorie, have four children and seven grandchildren.

Very Reverend Michael Knipe is the pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Tulsa and Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Tulsa.
He was ordained to the priesthood in 1988 and has served the diocese as pastor of several parishes and as chaplain at Bishop Kelley High School.
Fr. Mike was educated at Northeastern State University (Tahlequah), received his Bachelor of Arts from Conception Seminary College (Missouri), his Master of Arts in Theology from the University of Dallas,, his STB in theology and JCL in Canon Law from The Catholic University of America (DC) and recently completed his JCD in Canon law from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Spain).

Fr. David Webb is the chaplain at the University of Tulsa Newman Center.

Fr. Webb was ordained to the priesthood in 2017 for the Diocese of Tulsa.
He has served as chaplain and theology teacher at Bishop Kelley High School and as associate pastor at Christ the King Church in Tulsa.
Fr. John Jirak is the pastor of the Church of the Magdalen in Wichita, Kansas and Vicar for Evangelization, Discipleship and Stewardship for the Diocese of Wichita.
He is a graduate of Conception Seminary College in Conception, Missouri and holds a masters degree in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. Fr. Jirak also has his licentiate in canon law from Catholic University of America in Washington DC and was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Wichita in 2002.

Chef Michael Fusco is the manager of kitchen and garden ministries and head chef at Catholic Charities in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Johnston and Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. After graduating he continued a two year teaching fellowship where he served as a teaching liaison between the chef and the students. He has received numerous awards, owned his own restaurant, and has been voted best chef in Tulsa many times. He is married to Jackie and has two children.

Mrs. Ellen Doyle grew up in Cleveland Ohio the second of 9 children.

Ellen taught in illinois, Broken Arrow, and most recently as a religion teacher at Bishop Kelley High School before she retired for the first time 10 years ago. She has been married to Tim for 52 years and they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
She is also a Church of Saint Mary parishioner and is known for her charisma and wisdom.
Megan Hoffman is a School of Saint Mary ('03) and Bishop Kelley ('07) alumnus. Megan continued her education at the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Occupational Studies and at the University of Kansas Medical Center, earning her Master in Occupational Therapy. Megan first gained interest in occupational therapy while completing her service hours for Bishop Kelley. Megan is currently in her 8th year of practice as a licensed occupational therapist. She has spent time working in the public school system at the elementary level and in a pediatric outpatient facility working with children and families with Developmental Delay, Autism, ADHD, Anxiety disorders, Dysgraphia, and Sensory Processing. Megan now owns Light of Mine Pediatric and Occupational Therapy services, a company with a mission to bring related therapy services to the children and families of the Diocese of Tulsa. Megan is the author of a children’s book that made its debut this week this podcast was recorded. It’s entitled Best School Year Yet.

She was raised in Tulsa until she was ten and then spent the next eight years moving with her father’s job. God has blessed her with with two loving parents, four older sisters, a younger brother, three brother-in-laws, eight nephews and one niece.
She lives in the Therese House, a Catholic women’s community house where she lives with three wonderful women.
The Lord called her to start a mission in Tulsa called the Little Lilies. It is a lay mission of Catholic women who pray, serve, and live a common way of life together as they strive to be a lily among the thorns. They humbly serve those who are the most unloved and the forgotten of the flock in the Diocese of Tulsa and assist Christ as “He pastures His flock among the lilies.” (Song of Solomon 2:16, 6:3).

Sister Mary Hanah Doak, RSM is a Religious Sister of Mercy of Alma, Michigan and the new President of Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She entered her religious community in 2004 from her native Denver, Colorado. She holds a Minnesota Teaching License in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Middle School Mathematics and has taught multiple subjects at the Junior High Level for the past six years.
She has most recently served as Bishop Kelley's Chief Operating Office and before as the Director of Religious Education for St. Margaret Catholic School in the Diocese of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and is completing a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McNeese State University, also in Lake Charles.
Amy Zvacek is a lifelong Catholic who serves the Church as the office manager at Saint Catherine of Alexandria Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Saint Catherine of Alexandria Church is home to an English-speaking parish that dates back to the 1920s and is currently led by Father John Grant. The church is unique in that another parish prays there led by Father Robert Kim, the only permanent pastor of a Zomi-speaking parish in the United States.
Amy shares her experience of growth in prayer as she builds up both English- and Zomi-speaking parishes.
Millie and John are second graders who share stories of how their families are observing advent and preparing for Christmas. Having very made their First Reconciliation, they look forward to receiving their First Communion.
Cindy Howard is the art teacher at the School of Saint Mary in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She grew up in Tulsa a couple of blocks from the Hanisch family and attended St. Pius X Church. She graduated from the University of Tulsa with degrees in Marketing and Design.
Before joining the teaching staff at the School of Saint Mary, Cindy worked in advertising and public relations at a variety of places and taught computer design at Tulsa Community College, Tulsa Tech, and the University of Tulsa.
She and her husband Bill have two grown children.
Dr. Marcel Brown is the headmaster of Holy Family Classical School. Dr. Brown, a native of Denver, graduated from The University of Dallas with a degree in English prior to pursuing doctoral studies at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
He and his wife married in 2005. The couple served as team-teaching catechists at St. Rita Catholic Church in northern Virginia while Dr. Brown worked to complete his dissertation on the centrality of the Eucharist for The York Cycle, the most prominent example of devotional drama in England prior to the life and times of William Shakespeare. Upon completing his doctorate in English in 2013, Dr. Brown joined the faculty of St. Gregory’s University, teaching courses in literature and language, great books, the liberal arts, The York Cycle, Shakespeare, and Tolkien. During his time at St. Gregory’s, Dr. Brown was also tapped to serve as program-head for Great Books, University Seminar, the Academic Success Center, the Liberal Arts Core Capstone, and eventually Core Academic Programs as a whole.
When he is not reading, writing, and teaching, Dr. Brown enjoys conversing with his wife, making music with his family, and fishing shorelines of all kinds with his children.
Ernest Neal is the organist and choirmaster at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Faith was always important to Ernest as he grew up in south central Oklahoma, the son of a Southern Baptist preacher. When Ernest was old enough to play piano through a Sunday service, he became the pianist at his father's church.
Having completed two musical degrees, Ernest uses his gifts to help others pray at Holy Family Cathedral.
Susan Deax-Keirns is a marriage and family therapist and Director of behavioral health at Valley Springs Health and Wellness center in Northern California.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Oklahoma and her Masters in Counseling psychology with a pastoral emphasis from Santa Clara University.
She worked in Campus Ministry at Santa Clara for 9 years, was a stay at home mom for 7 years, and has been working in the mental health field for the past 16 years. She has been married for 27+ years and has three children.
She is Sharron's identical twin sister.
V. Rev. Elkin J. González is a priest of the Diocese of Tulsa. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2008 and currently serves as Vicar General and Pastor of the Parish of Christ the King in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He has a B.Ed in Philosophy and Religious Studies from UCO in Rionegro, Colombia; a MDiv from St. Meinrad School of Theology in Indiana, and a S.T.L. (Sacred Theology Licentiate) and S.T.D. (Sacred Theology Doctorate) in Spiritual Theology from the Pontifical Institute of Spirituality "Teresianum" in Rome. He is currently pursuing an MBA from NSU.
Fr. González has been Director of Vocations and member of different boards and ministries in the Diocese of Tulsa.
Bruce Sander, a seminarian for the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma, is currently in a pastoral year at the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa.
Bruce earned his associates degree in Business and Enterprise Development from Tulsa Community College and In 2020 graduated from Conception Seminary College in Missouri with a bachelors degree in Philosophy.
Before entering seminary Bruce worked for 12 years for the Tulsa City County Library system. His hobbies include constructing model cars and various liturgical items, ham radio, and cooking.
Sr. Christine Ereiser entered the Benedictine Sisters at St. Joseph’s Monastery in Tulsa in 1984 and made perpetual vows in 1989.
She had graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1982 with a Bachelors degree in business administration and management and had received her Masters degree in management for nonprofit organizations from the University of Notre Dame in 1996.
She served as prioress of St. Joseph Monastery here in Tulsa from 2007 until 2019 and recently returned from a much deserved sabbatical.
Very Reverend Gary Kastl was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Tulsa in 2007.
He grew up in Perkins, Oklahoma and graduated from Conception Seminary College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. He continued his theological studies and formation at St. Meinrad School of Theology in Southern Indiana.
Fr. Kastl has served as the Associate Pastor at the Church of Saint Mary, Pastor at St. Pius X, and Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church.
He is currently the President of Bishop Kelley High School, the Rector of Holy Family Cathedral, and one of three Associate Vocation Directors for the diocese of Tulsa and Eastern OK. He also serves as a consultant for the Catholic Leadership Institute and as a board member for the St. Francis Health System.
Fr. Karl Kiser entered the Detroit province of the Society of Jesus in Berkely, Michigan in 1986 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1997. This past June he was installed as Provincial of the USA Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus.
He grew up in Menomonie, Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Michigan State University. He studied Theology at Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at Comillas University in Madrid, Spain, and also at University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois. Fr. Kiser was superior of Loyola House, the Jesuit novitiate in Berkley, Mchigan (1998-2002), served as President of the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy in Detroit, and was the pastor of Gesu Church in University Heights, Ohio.

Barbara grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with a heart for serving others. She pursued a degree in social work and currently works in western Colorado. Deacon Alonso has a variety of interests with a common theme: service. He is an accomplished chef, a retired seaman in the US Navy, and a recently retired 5th & 6th grade teacher. A few weeks ago, he was ordained to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Pueblo and can probably count the number of homilies he has given on one hand.
Today's guest, Carla Lechner, was born and raised in the small German Catholic community of Jasper, Indiana. She attended college at the University of Evansville and worked for ten years as a radiologic technologist.
She moved to Tulsa in 1976. She married Junie Lechner in 1979 and later became a stay-at-home mom for their three children. Carla changed careers in 1992 and began to work at the School of Saint Mary as the Preschool Director where she stayed until her retirement in 2020. Carla is enjoying spending some of her free time with grandchildren.
Recently, she began a new ministry at the Church of Saint Mary: St. Joan of Arc Healing and Deliverance Ministry.

Diane grew up in Central Kansas on a dairy farm and is second oldest of 5 children. She graduated from Fort Hays State University with a double degree in Elementary Ed and Special Ed. Diane is retired after teaching school for 4 years, was working as the Office Manager for her husband's medical practice for 6 years and substitute teaching at the School of Saint Mary for over 20 years. She has been married to George for 44 years. And they have 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren.
Carol grew up in Tulsa with her four siblings attended the School of Saint Mary and graduated from Bishop Kelley High School. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and is a registered respiratory therapist. Carol is retired after working as the nurse at the school of Saint. Mary and Bishop Kelley. She has been married to Andy for 41 years and they have five children and 10 grandchildren.

Most Reverend Robert Gruss is the Bishop for the Diocese of Saginaw, in Michigan. He was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Davenport in 1994 and in 2011 was consecrated Bishop of Rapid City.
Bishop Gruss attended Madison Area Technical College, in Madison, Wisconsin, and Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a corporate pilot and flight instructor from 1980-1989 before entering seminary. He pursued seminary studies at St. Ambrose University, in Davenport 1989-1990; at North American College, Rome, 1990-1994; and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, also known as the Angelicum, in Rome. He additionally earned a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Theology at the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in 1994. In 1999, he completed studies at the Institute of Priestly Formation (IPF) with an emphasis on Spiritual Direction training.
Most Reverend Peter Wells is Apostolic Nuncio of South Africa, Botswana, Lewsootu, Namibia and Swazyland, and the Titular Archbishop of Marcianapolis.
Archbishop Wells was born and raised in Oklahoma and is the oldest of 5 children. He was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Tulsa in 1991 and served in the Diocese as associate pastor at Holy Family Cathedral.
In 1999, Archbishop Wells entered the Vatican Diplomatic corp, worked in Nigeria, and in 2002 returned to Rome to work in the Section for General affairs of the Secretariat of State. He was named assessor of General Affairs in 2009. In 2016, he was ordained an Archbishop and appointed to his current position.
He holds degrees in Letters from St. Meinrad Seminary College, a baccalaureate from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, a licentiate from the John Paul II Institute for studies on Marriage and the Family, and a licentiate and doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical Gregorian University.

Archbishop Coakley grew up in Louisiana and Kansas. He went to the University of Kansas and received a B.A. in English and Classical Antiquities. After completing University studies he traveled in Europe and briefly considered a monastic vocation.
Archbishop Coakley attended seminary at Mount Saint Mary in Emmitsburg, Maryland where he received his Master of Divinity and he holds an STL in Christian Spirituality from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

Luke Bland grew up in Tulsa as a nominal Christian. When he began dating a Catholic girl, his faith life changed forever. He entered the Catholic Church as a student at the University of Tulsa and is now a student at Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
Adam Minihan is one of the hosts of "The Catholic Man Show," the vice president of Saint Michael Catholic Radio, and is the new communications director for the Diocese of Tulsa.
Adam is intentional about his faith. He shares his personal prayer life and some creative ways he prays with his young family.
"Our charism is mercy. Mercy is a gift of the Holy Spirit given to our religious community. It's a facet of God that this community is particularly meant to manifest in the world."
Sister Marie Josepha Kulczny works as a nurse at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Ryan, Levi, and Dylan are third graders who became "priests for a day."
The boys followed Father Vince through his daily activities: saying Mass, praying the Divine Office, eating breakfast and lunch, visiting parish groups, meeting with faith formation staff, and enjoying a doughnut. They boys practiced baptizing a baby doll.
"We don't have [to work] to pray. We have to let prayer happen to us. The Holy Spirit is already alive in us. When we renounce our afflictions, prayer starts surging up."
Sr. Mary Margaret Funk has been a Benedictine nun at Our Lady of Grace Monastery in Beech Grove, IN, since 1961. She holds a M.A. from Catholic University in Religion and Religious Education and a M.S. from Indiana University.
She has served as a 4th grade teacher, as Director of Catechesis for the Catholic Archdioceses of Indianapolis and Louisville, as Prioress both in Beech Grove and in Ireland at Kylemore Abbey, as Executive director of Monastic Interreligious dialogue, and as Director of the School of Lectio Divina at Benedict Inn, Beech Grove. She’s the author of five books in the Matter Series that brings forward the teachings of the Desert Spirituality. She is currently facilitating the St. Enda retreat, a 100 day online retreat.

After graduating from the University of Maryland in College Park, he was a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1987 and was ordained in 1998. He is the founder and president/CEO of the Come To Believe Network, as well as the founding dean and former executive director of Arrupe College at Loyola University Chicago.
Prior to arriving in Chicago, Fr. Katsouros served as the director of the Institute for Catholic Educational Leadership and associate dean of the School of Education at the University of San Francisco. Fr. He was ordained in 2016. He is published in the National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly and he published St. Alphonsus’ Guide for Confessors, the first ever English edition.

Eric Krakowski serves as the assistant principal at Duchesne Academy, an all girls Catholic High School in Omaha Nebraska. Among other things, He directs their sustainability efforts and their international exchange program.
He gained internet attention because of his clever snow day phone messages which he sang to Disney tunes. He holds a BA in History from St. Meinrad College and an MA in Theology and an MS in Educational Leadership, both from Creighton University.
He loves to watch baseball, read, travel and spend time with his wife and 2 children.

He holds degrees from the University of Arkansas (BM) and the Eastman School of Music (MM).

Sister Immaculata Hanisch entered the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles in 1985 and received final vows in 1994. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Science center with a degree in clinical dietetics and a Masters in Theology from Holy Apostles College Seminary in Connecticut. She is currently the chair of the theology department at Archbishop Collman Carrol High School in Miami Florida. She enjoys watercolor painting, reading and basketball.
