This is a hard topic to talk about because I don't want to make light of anyone's pain, or try to justify mistreatment.  However, I feel like people around me, in focusing on "micro-aggressions" are starting to resemble grievance collectors.  I talk about trying to find a balance between letting everything go (eg being a doormat) and focusing excessively on any and all hurts we've suffered.

The title says it all, I have advice and thoughts, but I'm not a therapist.  If you need a therapist, find a therapist.  Therapists should challenge you.  A therapist who never challenges you probably isn't a good one.

This is my intro about why I wanted to create a podcast and what I want to share.

I'm a person who has had an unusual and at times very difficult life. I've lived through trauma and gotten help.

I believe that good emotional and psychological practices help us recover and thrive and I want to share that with the world.
