THESE PRESENT DAYS are devoted to providing a side of the important news stories we are all hearing about daily, a side that isn't being acknowledged or given a voice: GOD'S TRUTH. We invite the listener to remove any bias that they have toward any of the topics addressed, in exchange for the adoption of an understanding that maybe - just maybe - we aren't right. This understanding will give us the freedom to hear what God is saying in the middle of it all.
Living a FAITH LIFE is as much about the expectations as it is about what we are experiencing in our every day reality. Following the path laid out for us from Hebrews chapter 11, in this episode we dig into the extreme necessity of living an expectant life on our way to the promises of God being fulfilled in a tangible way. This is an important understanding for anyone taking that step out of the boat and onto the UNUSUAL foundation that God has prepared for us.
This episode is covering all the bases. From our need to self medicate, self appreciate, self help and self pamper; all the way to our endless need to help other people do as we do, plus every last bit in between, we are pulling back the curtain on the self help industry and exposing what is really happening when we decide that we got this. Explore with us why God isn’t thrilled when we fix Him a nice comfy spot in the backseat.
In this week’s episode we are harping on that same old topic: LIES. We just can’t expose these things loud enough, with enough emphasis and with a resounding NOPE as much as we need to in just this one lifetime. Lies are literally EVERYWHERE and the father of lies isn’t about to tip his hand anytime soon; so it’s on us to recognize the lies, say NOPE to the lies & reject the lies. Not to mention our need to say YEP to Jesus and His ways, His methods, His words even while shutting down the lies.
Has anyone noticed that the current issues (at any given moment) that we face as a nation, as a world or as a citizen are the exact same issues that have been plaguing us year after year, after decade, after century? It would seem that we are infinitely stuck in a recycling system that we can’t ever escape. Good, bad and especially ugly we have a real dilemma as followers of Jesus. Do we throw up our hands at the prospect of an impossible task or do we actually take action (as Jesus did) to change some things? And on top of all this, what can we possibly do to change any of it? Good question...
This week we tackle what it actually means to be FREE. From innocent men and women incarcerated for the majority of their lives all the way to Americans traveling overseas only to find themselves imprisoned in a foreign land; and virtually everything in between. FREEDOM is a treasure that we tend to take for granted until it’s gone. But what about all the rest of us? In our every days, are we TRULY living free?
This episode is coming in hot. From the obvious ones like social media, gaming and the almighty dollar to the lesser recognized ones such as co-dependency, political parties and those many vices we use to cope with life. Idolatry has indeed evolved to always find it’s place with civilizations. As followers of Jesus we can’t help but ask the questions that seem to be avoided at all costs; if we are actually in the biblical end times, shouldn’t we throw out those idols and start taking back our God given authority?
Seemingly endless are the stories of public shootings, multiple murders, casualties and a wiping out of any residual innocence that remains in America. In this episode we aim to expose what is happening behind the scenes being played out in the realms that we cannot see with our natural understanding. Regardless of what we think the true problem is, there is something spiritual happening to our nation ‘under God’ as it becomes increasingly divisible with each passing day.
The final episode in the series of three, this week we continue the polarizing topic of that unseen world. From politicians to well respected institutions and everything in between, we are made aware by the words of Jesus and the scriptures throughout the Bible that things are not all that they seem. We believe that it is most important these days, to have an understanding of what to be aware of and how to guard ourselves from people who aren’t just rotten, they are part of an evil network that hides in the realms that we just aren’t able to see as well as the one we live in.
This episode is a continuation of Crisis Control, a series that is ripping the veils off of a realm that can best be described as SUPER natural. This is a big subject to cover and this week we are right in the middle of this series. We are talking about the devil, the realms that we cannot see and how it all works. We don’t have all the answers, but thanks to the teachings of Jesus we are able to understand just how big what we are up against truly is and even more important, how to navigate it all accordingly.
In this episode we continue to rip pages out of the headlines and address what is really happening in the world we are living in. Behind every story, every decision made, every horrific event, every tragedy, every accident, every thing; is a connection to the supernatural realm that we can very well see if we know where to look. We are in a supernatural crisis in our country (and globally), which is why we must understand that our true enemy (the devil) is working hard behind the scenes to influence people to act on his behalf; because of Jesus, we have been given the authority to stand against and stop his schemes and deeds.
This week we are gathering all of the negative, pessimistic, defeatist, mind bending, fake and real news that is swirling around us at all times with an aim to bombard our hearts and minds; and toss out all of the fear, worry, doubt, anxiety and uncertainty that tags along with it all. As followers of Jesus we are in constant need of God’s methodology, replacing WORRY with TRUST and FEAR with FAITH. The result is sure to put a smile on our face and a pep in our step, as we take our cues from the Aussies and come what may, just say NO WORRIES.
This episode is dedicated to the cues found in 1 Thessalonians, as we compare and contrast the uncanny similarities between the last days era that the Bible so vividly describes and the current era that we all find ourselves smack dab right in the center of. With this comparison we find hope and clarity of how we are to navigate and represent God Almighty during the darkest of days that we have been experiencing; and of course, those that are yet to come.
This week we are tackling that hot hot topic with a drum roll and a few gulps: Roe v. Wade and the Supreme Court’s role in half a century’s old ruling on abortion. Oh, what are we thinking diving into this subject matter? As we do on These Present Days and in this episode, we humbly offer a perspective less viewed with our emphasis being God’s TRUTH, utilizing Jesus’ examples and words to tackle this emotionally charged issue. Hold on tight and keep that safety belt securely fastened, because The Time Has definitely Come.
Welcome to another episode of THESE PRESENT DAYS. This week we are hi-lighting the importance of knowing just what IS TRUTH. In order to stick to that which is TRUE we must know what that is, otherwise our fate of falling for the lies is inevitable. One of the most crucial understandings that we must have in these present days is discernment. But we cannot rightly discern unless we have a working knowledge of TRUTH, this along with the Holy Spirit as our help and our guide, will cut through all things hiding behind disguises both in the shadows and in plain sight.
This week on These Present Days we are combining all of the current news stories that are not going away anytime soon. The stories that popped up quite unexpectedly without an end in sight. Stories that caught most people by surprise, off guard or out of nowhere. In the days nearer to the end of all things, as Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24, unexpected occurrences involving unexpected people will only be increasing. Even the return of Jesus is going to be an unexpected event even though we know it's coming. As followers of Jesus and people who determine to live in the fullness that has been provided to us by God our Father, we must begin an expectation of unexpected things to come; including the end itself. We need to not only BE ready, but even more importantly, we need to LIVE ready.
We are all getting really good at hearing bad news, whether it’s coming straight at us into our news feeds, our inboxes or jumping out in pop up ads; bad news in everywhere. In this episode we take our cue from the infallible example that Jesus left us with as He came face to face with bad news at nearly every turn. How did He handle it? He flipped the news on it’s head and took the opportunity to introduce the God news instead; in other words He brought a miracle into the mix. A life ready, willing and able to usher in the miraculous in 21st Century every day things is not only what we are authorized to accomplish, this is what we were born for.
These three methods have been used by the devil himself since the beginning and it is indeed these top three that we need to watch out for as we live out the chaos of these present days. In this episode we dig out the lies, expose the deception and reveal the confusion running rampant in the world we live in; with an emphasis on how to keep our focus on the truth, follow the path of the upright and maintain the soundness of mind that God has given to us.
A tale as old as TIME. In this episode we explore how to care less about the things we can’t control and why it’s important to do so. Time is one of those uncontrollable enigmas, we want more of it but have no clue how to master it. Jesus had a different take on time and we would be wise to follow his lead when it comes to the oldest constant we’ve got.
From the beginning of time to now, the snake has played a significant role in humankind. In this episode we explore the methodology, patterns and the way in which a snake makes his moves. In THESE PRESENT DAYS we have a responsibility to pull ourselves out of the hypnotics of anything that is not THE TRUTH and proceed accordingly, boldly and bravely into the future, never again to doubt the power of God and His Word.
Churches & Christian leaders making headlines in the news isn’t something new. In this episode we address these headlines from the perspective of John in his third chapter revelation of what our part to play truly is when it comes to all things JESUS. A life of faith and a diminishing of ourselves is front and center in all things to come, especially what happens next.
In Episode 5 we are addressing the ever in the wings, highly contested breaking news about Climate Change. It’s a hot topic that most people would like to avoid talking about all together. But how many of us have actually asked ourselves, what is God’s take on this subject? We explore what the Bible has to say about our position on topics like Global Warming and what our part needs to be when it comes to reversing any damage done. It may not be the answer we want to hear, but God’s ways are never as predictable as we want them to be, are they?
In this episode we are talking about hidden in plain sight incentives. From stimulus cheques to tax credits and everything in between, we are all caught in a system that encourages us, grooms us and requires us to follow the money at every turn. In the West we live under the banner of capitalism with a constant objective being money, money, money. Interestingly, more turmoil we see, the more money we see exchanging hands. So how do we (followers of Jesus) trust God, when what we really need is more money? Is there actually another way to live in the 21st Century? The answer of course, and by way of God, is a resounding YES.
Wars and rumors of wars is what Jesus spoke about in Matthew chapter 24. In this chapter He gives us a very clear and very ominous series of events that will happen leading up to His return. In this episode we are exploring what we must be doing, just how much we need to be paying attention and what part we are to play during the days to come & the days we are currently living in. Spoiler Alert: we’ve already got all the answers & more inside of the level of our FAITH. Using the backdrop of the current conflict between Russia & Ukraine, we explore how to remain steady & immovable regardless of the stability or instability of our current times.
The enigma of love, it turns out, is pretty simple. God clears up any confusion we may have through John’s words in 1 John 4:16 “We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” In this episode we present a revelation of the love of God that transcends all that we think we know about love. The Air of Love is not something we can put on or pretend we have, because love always requires everything. True love that takes its cue from the character of God and His incredible display by way of the sacrifice of Jesus is all inclusive, all consuming and all we need for a lifestyle that God calls each one of us to live. A lifestyle of love.
The one story that we have all been dominated by in just about every news organization since the beginning of 2020/end of 2019 is of course the CORONAVIRUS or COVID-19 or VARIOUS VARIANTS. we have seen people labeled, locked down, masked up, scared into submission, sent to ventilators, jabbed, shamed without being jabbed, bullied, blamed and ultimately proven wrong at every turn. It doesn't matter which side we reside on regarding all the issues surrounding this virus - we are wrong. Everyone, wrong. So where do we go from here?
