The gospel is the greatest story of love and care ever told. It is so powerful, that every other story has to borrow from it to be any good. Just like in famous novels or in captivating movies, the best moments and characters are only pencil sketches of gospel diamond. This true story is the greatest ever told, and it sets the supreme example of love and care for each of us.
The Ultimate Spiritual Tragedy is described in Matthew 7:21-23. There is no greater spiritual tragedy than standing before Jesus on judgment day and being surprised to hear the words “I never knew you; depart from me.” We see this example in 1 Samuel 15, and Pastor Richard gives us 5 ways we can avoid the same tragedy.

Prayer is the power that sparks revival, and Acts 4 reveals 4 lessons about how we should pray to spark this revival.
Just like the power of Jesus is the only way our physical bodies will eventually conquer physical death and decay, the power of the Holy Spirit is the only way our churches will withstand spiritual decay. We see in Acts 3 both examples of physical and spiritual restoration.
There are some ingredients that simply cannot be left out of baking cookies. For example, leaving eggs out of cookies renders them a stale and brittle mess. Just like baking cookies, applying Scripture to our relationships is critical for caring and loving one another. The book of Lamentations describes the silhouette of Jerusalem after the Babylonian empire came and utterly destroyed the city and carried the nation of Judah off into exile. What once was a glorious city, the center of religious life for the Israelites, the home of the temple - the dwelling place of God, a city of high walls, flowing streams, and bustling markets, was now a flattened, burned out, desolated ruin.
And yet in Lamentations 3:19-26 there is hope, and this is what Pastor Austin Collins speaks about in this sermon.
