In this episode I speak to Jean who is a mental health worker in England. A striking point she made was about the realisation that the government considered her "vulnerable and in need of shielding" during the Covid-19 pandemic which was completely at odds to her image of herself.
We talk about the how organisations contributed to the fear and uncertainty that was prevalent at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and the strategies that Jean used to manage this.
The sound quality of this episode is somewhat disjointed. However, it does not take away from Jean's passion for social work.

This episode was recorded just after the summer of 2020. I am speaking to Daniel at a point where the future is starting to look more positive. We had just come out of the initial fears involved in the first lockdown and were very much looking to the future, recognising that life has changed and questioning whether we would want it to return to pre-pandemic states. This episode is a recognition of the amazing resilience of people and the capacity of both the individual and organisation to change and develop.
