Solomon wants us to be careful as we enter the house of the Lord. He wants us to remind ourselves when we step into church, who we are, where we are and who and where God is. He tells us to be quiet, keeping our words few and should we make any promises to God or others, to ensure that we fulfill those promises quickly. Our Lord, in Matthew chapter 5, tells us that we should not make oaths in our normal lives but that as followers of Christ, our yes needs to be yes and our no needs to be no. Nothing else should be required of a Christian, for among other things we should be recognized by our truthfulness and follow through on our obligations.
A study of Ecclesiastes Chapter 5 Verse 1 where the preacher tells us, "Guard your steps as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil." (NASB)

What must I do to be saved asked a high religious leader? If he didn't know, perhaps you don't know. If you have about 15 minutes, listen to the truths in the Bible and if you accept them, repent of your sins and ask Jesus to be your Savior, you will be transformed forever!
The Cross was not the end of the story, for Christ has risen! And with His death, burial, resurrection and ascension, those who believe on His name will be saved forever from the wrath of God.
Those who believe will have a new life, a purpose for living, and a final home in heaven with the Savior of the world!
If man works hard at anything, he works very hard at trying to be happy in this life. But can someone truly find long term happiness "under the sun"? Ecclesiastes will tell us that without Christ as their Savior, Lord, Advocate, and Redeemer, life itself is a futile and meaningless existence. Only Jesus can bring true happiness, comfort, and joy both ere on this planet and in heaven forevermore. Let's dig in to the first few verses of this chapter...
