This summer we drove up to Michigan's Upper Peninsula for a camping trip with some friends, and since we had several hours of driving, we recorded a podcast to pass the time! The sound quality is a little worse than usual, but we had a good time, and we hope you will too. Episode 8: Come along on a visit to the neighborhood of Washington Heights as we review the movie version of In the Heights, based on the award-winning musical by the brilliant Lin-Manuel Miranda. Someone give this man an Oscar!

Episode 7: On Oscars night, we would like to share one more Best Picture nomination we loved: The Trial of the Chicago 7. With an outstanding screenplay and superb ensemble cast, as well as a deeper look at a historical event that feels very relevant to current times, this movie is definitely one for the books!

Episode 6: Judas and the Black Messiah tells the story of the life and death of Fred Hampton, a Black Panther and freedom fighter. We recorded this back before the Golden Globes, so we didn't know the outcome at the time. We think it's an important movie for everyone to see, and it certainly deserves all the acclaim it can get!

Episode 5: Our review of the dark comedy/revenge thriller film, Promising Young Woman. A few notes: we recorded this before the Golden Globes, so we didn't know how they would turn out yet. Spoiler warning in case you don't want to know the ending, because it's a twisty one! Also a content/trigger warning: this movie discusses sexual assault.

Episode 3: We reviewed Schitt's Creek, the riches-to-rags sitcom that dominated the 2020 Emmys, a show which can't be mentioned on broadcast TV without the title written out on the screen, and a story which absolutely captivated our hearts in a year when we all needed as much warmth and laughter as we could get.
