Along with a simple "gift" of a reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" from me to you, dear friends, I would like to share a few of my fondest Holiday traditions of my family. These are the memories that stay with us, and really tug at our heart strings every holiday season.  I think we also do our best to keep those traditions alive, while adding new ones as our families grow and diversify. There is no greater joy than sharing, meshing, and melding the past traditions and activities to make the present all the more joyful and exciting!

Share your spark of joy and traditions so we can celebrate this blessed and joyful time together! Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com and perhaps we can vicariously experience your traditions and joy and just make this holiday season the most loving and special yet!!

Merry Christmas, Blessed Yule, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Ho, Ho, Ho, Kari :-)

Every time I turn on the radio or TV, I am catching tunes of the holidays, and those tunes and the sentiment shared always puts a smile on my face. I love this time of year for all the holiday trimmings, the festive music, the chaotic shopping and the brightly colored lights that dress up so many houses around the neighborhood. All of that in one neat little package called December! And, it just oozes joy, and anticipation of fun gatherings and celebrations with friends and family.

It is a most magical and blessed time of the year, for most of us. Those that are not as fortunate also deserve a serving of joy and hope. So, I would encourage all that read this blog to give a small gift that would benefit someone less fortunate. Donate some food to a local food bank or neighborhood church's food drive, maybe even take some pet food to a no-kill shelter or even donate a few warm sweaters or coats to a homeless shelter. I know all of these gifts of love and hope would be greatly appreciated in the grand scheme of things.

Traditions, family, sharing love, hope and joy...these are all the things that come to the forefront of our lives this time of year. I would ask you share those joys, your family traditions & activities you do each year, and celebrations of the season that are special, and sacred, and that warms your hearts with me, and I will share them this month, on the podcast, so we can all enjoy the beauty of the season, together!

Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com, or better yet, tell your story in a voice message (link below), and I'll share your joyful story, in your own voice. That would make it all the more special, personal and we will feel that love, joy and hope directly.

Thanks for listening, reading and letting me into your heart to share my Sparks of Joy! Namaste, Kari

I hope this podcast helps us all to pay attention to those subtle moments that really can (and do) spark a bit of joy, happiness and thankfulness in our everyday activities. I know it may seem a bit sappy to bring up being thankful, in November, but, well, it is the season! Perhaps recognizing and paying attention to those little sparks will add up to that moment of reflection of something positive and bring out a smile.

Since starting up this podcast, I have had so many of those subtle sparks of joy, and that truly does a great job at keeping my spirits happy and positive. And I really love that feeling...almost peaceful and yet just a wee bit energized, and eager to discover more of the same.

Challenging oneself, especially in an area of our lives that we feel 100% confident in, can be especially energizing, exceptional and a great broadening of personal abilities. Like my taking on a new type of bookkeeping client! This week I started up with J & T's Copper Penny Bar, owned by Jamie & Tommy, long-time personal friends of mine. I am excited and honored to be brought into the "family" and I am looking forward to a roaring good time, as well as a positive and prosperous adventure with them. Stop in and see what fun entertainment Jamie has planned, something different every night! And, I must say, Tommy is the coolest of the cool bar tenders around! They're located at 107th Ave & Peoria, in Sun City AZ. Tell them Kari sent you, to experience and share many sparks of joy!

Share any of your subtle sparks of joy by emailing me at phxgodess@gmail.com or leave a voice message, link below. I'll be happy to share, if you like, and spread the joy!!

Until next time, Namaste, Kari

It's here!! All Hallow's Eve! Halloween! I can't wait til the Trick or Treaters come to my door in their costumes and chants of "Trick or Treat"! I'm sure there will be lots of princesses and super heroes, and maybe even a few mummies and vampires!! Oh! What fun we will have after darkness falls upon the land.

It is also a time to honor those that have crossed over and left this earthly plane. I honor Samhain, others might celebrate Dia de los Muertos, some may honor their dead on All Saints' Day or All Souls' Day, but whatever day it is, It is a time to remember our ancestors, share a meal and enjoy the fruits of an abundant harvest. Now would also be the time to prepare for the cold winter ahead. I enjoy this season for the cooler days, and the colors of fall, and a cup of pumpkin spiced coffee. 😊🎃 I'd love to hear what your favorite thing is about this turn of the wheel, this season.

It's also the start of the holiday season, and I love getting ready for the gift-giving and the parties and the gatherings of friends and family! There is so much to be thankful for, and so much love and laughter to share, and what a perfect time to enjoy the company of our loved ones!

Do you have any special or unique holiday traditions you'd like to share? Sharing brings so much joy to those we share with, as well as those who are doing the sharing, wouldn't you agree? :-) Send me your sparks of joy to phxgodess@gmail.com or leave a voice message (link below), and maybe we can add your holiday ideas to our calendars too.

Let's sparkle! Happy Halloween & Namaste, Kari

So many times I find myself in the middle of a project, getting more frustrated by the minute, because I just can't quite seem to get "it" done! I have noticed, though, as soon as the weather changes to the more mild temperatures, my energy level shifts into high gear! That is the time I feel compelled to blast through all those unfinished projects and get them done! This past month, especially, has been a month of completions, and I couldn't be more thrilled to clear some of those projects off my To Do list!

A big project, a few years in the making, has been getting through my Reiki Healing training. I think I will put a lot of the 'blame' on the pandemic issues for stretching this whole project out 2 years longer than it should have been. I will also count my blessings for the push of urgency I was in that was the impetus to me actually completing not only to Reiki 3 & Master, but also to add to my Healing skill set, Reiki Master Distance Healer and Reiki Crystal Healer. All of this was exactly what I was guided and directed to do, in order for me to formulate the next chapter of my Energy Healing calling. To put it simply, I will be contributing to getting this planet back on a more positive survival & healing mind set. I intend to help get this place back on track to move out of the Fear band, and back into a more loving and positive reality. There are many working on this very mission, and now I can "step up" & take my place right next to them. This idea, this action, this purpose is my greatest spark of joy, and I am sharing it, many times over every day.

A new project I took up this last week was strictly for fun, and turned to be a hoot for me! Teaching myself new things is not a foreign idea for me, as I have learned many things by doing my own research and "hands on" training. This week, I decided to learn how to carve a pumpkin! I have always carved pumpkins at Halloween, Jack-o-Lantern style, put an LED candle in it so it would glow for the Trick-or-Treaters. This year I want to actually carve the pumpkin, and make it glow through the pattern I have created. My first tries were not great! LOL However, I did carve out something more than just a triangle eyes, nose and teeth type of Jack-o-Lantern. I will try a few more techniques between now and Halloween, with the hope that I will show some sort of expertise at sculpting a pumpkin! I'll keep ya'll posted...

Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com, or leave me a voice message (link below). I'd love to hear about your accomplishments & pumpkin carving adventures.

Until the next time....Namaste

Kari

This is an experiment! I recorded this podcast while driving in my car, and edited it completely on the Anchor app, I wanted to see just how a podcast might turn out, while working out an episode based on the inspiration I had while driving to Winslow, AZ. Yep! "That" Winslow AZ! Just five little lines out a song written by Glenn Frey & Jackson Browne, inspired a small town in AZ to dedicate a park commemorating the corner Glenn Frye stood on, watching a girl drive by in a flat bed Ford (Credits to the Eagles song, "Take it Easy", 1972) This visit inspired me, too, to create an adventure out a work related road trip.

There are so many small towns in AZ that are great inspiration for adventure and just plain fun to explore. These kinds of adventures are a marvelous source of so many sparks of joy for me. I love traveling around AZ, and checking out the landmarks that make each area unique and special. I have seen, and explored, the majestic Grand Canyon, the Red Rock mountains and vortexes of Sedona, Indian ruins at places like Montezuma's Castle & Tuzigoot Pueblo Ruins & old ghost towns like Jerome and Tombstone. There are so many other fun places to explore, here in AZ, and everywhere on this big, beautiful planet.

Have you explored around your home town, state and/or country? What sparks of joy would you like to share of your adventures? Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com, or leave me a voice message (link below). I'd love to explore with you some of your favorite places and hear about your road trip adventures.

Until the next time....Namaste

Kari

I don't know about you, but I love October! The temperatures are getting milder, the evenings are starting to feel so refreshing and crisp with cool breezes blowing and Halloween is just around the corner! And, this girl loves Halloween! I love getting the ghoulish ghostie decorations out and turning my home into quite the witch's den! Getting ready for the trick-or-treaters is a favorite activity of mine, too. I always try to set the scene to be a little festive, and a little bit spooky, in anticipation of the kids coming to visit this "ole witch" on All Hallows Eve! Muhahahahaha

Why do I go to all the trouble to create that Halloween, ghost & goblin, spooky & just a tad creepy event at my home, you might ask? Well, some of my favorite memories I have, as a kid and then a mom with a kid, are around the holiday season, starting with Halloween! I love the creative mood I get into and I love watching the kids enjoying coming to my door to get their treats. I really just want to keep a tradition, a really fun one at that, alive, and being passed on to generations to come. All of this is created in the spirit of fun, and from a place of love and happy memories that I just want to share. No judgement and certainly no negative message attached to the effort, just good, plain fun! And, who doesn't like dressing up as a ghost, a spooky witch, a werewolf, or perhaps a princess and beg the neighbors for a treat??

For me, Halloween is just the start of the holiday season. It is so full of so many sparks of joy to be shared and "carried on" by our kids, and then their kids, and so on! This always begins for me on Oct 1st, to be enjoyed right up to the 31st, Halloween.

Share your Halloween sparks of joy, or any holiday memories of your traditions, and I will joyfully share them on the podcast. (with your permission, of course). Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com or leave me a voice message (link below), and let's create those sparks of holiday joy together.

Happy memories & happy holidays 🎃, Kari

Empower yourself! Yeah, I know, easier said than done, right? But it is easy enough to do if done one bit at a time. Acknowledging we have the ability to make the choices we feel are best for ourselves is probably one of the first steps. This particularly applies to how we might choose to react to something that has happened to us, or that we might create for ourselves. It doesn't matter if that reaction is positive or negative, as much as how we deal with those. We can choose to dwell on the negative, rant about the issue and/or stay stuck in that frustration, anger and irritation. However, we also have the freedom to decide to move out of that negative and find something positive in that event. There might also be a lesson to learn from it, and even perhaps to share those lessons with another. I do believe we can learn from those experiences exactly what works for us in bringing, and keeping, joy in our lives. I am not saying you will be 'happy, happy, joy, joy' every day, all the time, but it is an encouraging idea to think we can tip the scale in that direction, if we only choose to. We can make lemonade out of the lemons life hands to us, but we have to choose to add the sweet so we don't have just bitter lemon water.

I would love to hear your sparks of joy, especially when you have turned around that negative to a positive! Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com, or leave a voice message (link below), and I'll share it on the next podcast.

I look forward to lots of Sparks of Joy!

Namaste,

Kari

Have you ever met a celebrity? Perhaps you have someone, in your personal day-to-day happenings, that you feel is of a small degree of celebrity status. I believe that sometimes that is an evaluation that is just in our minds, that we designate that status to the people we admire, or feel joy, when we have the random occasion of seeing them. Or maybe it is a Secret Admirer type of viewpoint! I really couldn't pin it down, except to say I have assigned many people in my life's travels a status of being a celebrity, to me! When I find myself smiling simple because I notice them, or maybe they have noticed me, I am inclined to put them in that category of non-judgmental admiration. I know nothing of them, except what I might have noticed in passing. That's ok, too, as it truly is a spark of joy to share that admiration toward an otherwise perfect stranger.

Today, we have happy trees in our front yard! I'm happy, and I would bet the trees are happy, too, because now they have a forever home! I can't wait for the months to pass, as they grow tall and blossom leaves and flowers! This is yet another wonderful spark of joy this week!

Share your sparks of joy, who's your secret admired celebrity or what makes you smile and glow with happiness around your home, won't you? Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com or leave a voice message (link below), and I'll share it on my next podcast. (with your permission, of course)

We spend our time going through every day routines, whether they are work-related, family-related or just a personal "to-do" list. We are basically creatures of habit, and don't care much to having those routines up-ended by circumstances that are out of our control. But, at any given time, that is exactly what is going to happen. How we deal with those "interruptions" will certainly re-set our attitude and energy level for that time. So, we have a choice to turn these interruptions into something positive, even if it's only to add it to the to-do list and then experience that feeling of accomplishment when we can check it off as a "Done". I would much rather take on those little hiccups as a lesson to learn or maybe even an adventure to explore and grow from. In either case, there is that spark of joy happening when I can acknowledge that I went with the flow, and got it all done. Sometimes those unexpected moments, that break us out of our routines, turn out to be rewarding in so many surprising ways.

The Tarot card I mentioned in the podcast should have been "The Ace of Wands", with reference to the quote "Forget the big bang - I can create a universe with this tiny spark." (reference: A Steampunk Tarot by Barbara Moore) And, I will say again, that tiny spark can be our sparks of joy, creating a universe of love and light, filled with adventures.

Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com to share your sparks of joy, or leave a voice message at the link below. With your permission, I'll share them, and we can fill the universe with lots of joy!

Thanks for spending these few moments with me. Namaste, Kari ❤️

Life can be an adventure, especially if approached in the spirit of playfulness & joy. Making the decision to have an adventure can sometimes be daunting, of course, like those times when you're being bombarded with negative energy, doubts and even despair about things. However, it is possible to work towards changing the attitude to one of playfulness and expectation of something good to result from your efforts when you go at it thinking positively and with the idea you can turn things around. It only takes a moment to decide to expect that spark of joy to turn into something wonderful.

The very best way to neutralize the bully, negative and truly unhappy energies that surround us all, at one time or another, is to believe we are shining beacons of joy, and play the game to push back those bullies of negativity and unhappiness. You can do it! You can be joy, light, love and that playful spirit! You can win at this game of life, simply by embracing those sparks of joy and sharing the spirit of play. We don't have to be alone in this journey. We truly are "connected", and as we share our sparks of joy, the connection gets stronger, and makes us stronger in this craziness we call life. I know, for myself, it is so very important to put my joy "out into the Universe", and then watch it manifest and grow into something beautiful. Give it a try, OK?

Won't you share your sparks of joy? I'll gladly share them, if I have your ok, to help spread even more joy in the process. Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com with your sparks of joy, or leave a voice message at the link below.

Thanks for spending these few minutes with me, sharing my joy, light and playfulness. Until the next time...

Namate,

Kari

If you have ever felt you were being bombarded by too much noise in your day-to-day life, maybe it's time to relax, & calm your mind and your energy. You just need to try to enjoy some quiet in the moment. In that quiet, it is easy to find the joy right in the middle of all that chaos and feel a peace that gives you the strength to press on and get through the turmoil. Reiki is a prefect way to find that calm within and draw in the love and light from the Universe, and then let it go right back out. It is not a hard thing to do, but sometimes we can find ourselves feeling we cannot quiet our minds. When I find myself in that state of being, I know I need to really make an effort to ground my spirit and listen to my own heart. That's a good time for me to turn to my weaving, for that is my perfect quiet place. In no time at all, I usually do find myself smiling and feeling joyful.

What is your process to find and get to your quiet, calm place? If you think you can't find it, do that one thing that brings you joy. A friend of mine told me she couldn't find the quiet, there was just so much going on that she couldn't "turn it off". My answer to her was so simple, and yet so perfect, for her. I told her to do what she loved best, I told her to sing! Boy, did her space light up at the very mention of that, and I could see the joy start to fill her heart. It was beautiful to see the calm take over the chaos, even if just for that moment.

Share with me your 'Calming place', that special process that gives you the inner joy to give you the strength and light to take on the world, won't you? Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com or leave a voice message below, and with your "OK", I'll share those sparks of joy on the next podcast.

Many blessings and sparks of joy to you,

Kari

We all have something to celebrate ... today, yesterday & even tomorrow!  It may not a special occasion, we have at least our own selves to be celebrating!  It's a way of saying "good job", "way to go", & "Well Done!" and to acknowledge a big event in our lives. It doesn't really matter what that moment is, it only matters to you as you make an occasion of your accomplishments.  The best reason to celebrate is right there in the joy that is created when we realize we have reached that milestone, and completely reached that goal.  It doesn't matter, either, how big or small that goal is because the Joy that is felt, and shared, can be so contagious when it touches the lives of all you share it with. That spark of joy just might end up being as mighty and bright as a lightning bolt!  Are you ready for that? I know I am!

Share your story, your celebration, your spark of joy with us!  With your permission, I will gladly share it on the podcast and send out your joy to the Universe.  Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com, or leave a voice message on the link below.

Let's sparkle!

I decided to start this episode as the premier episode of a second season of A Spark of Joy. Sounds kind of funny, and yet there was a natural break between episodes and it feels right to put a definite separation the between 6 months of podcasts I've already done. I am looking forward to many more months of doing this podcast, and experiencing the transitions it might take in the coming episodes. I hope you enjoy the journey with me.

That all being said, it seems the topic and title of this season 2 premier episode is quite appropriate. I have been working on taking inventory of

myself, and my own being, both on an emotional level and a spiritual level. Amping up on my energy to be more creative, and learning more avenues to share my joy has really been "up front and personal", and feels like I am heading in the direction of more of the same, full speed ahead. I am looking forward to this adventure, and hope you, dear listener, will join me on this journey of love, light and sharing of that joy!

Please feel free to email me at phxgodess@gmail.com to share your sparks of joy, and your creative channels to spread your light, and I will share them in an upcoming episode (with your permission, of course).

Thanks for listening!! Keep that spark sparkling!

Brightest blessings, Kari

Peace and reflective quiet in our own space...It doesn't get much better than that when you're trying to capture a spark of Joy, a moment of a happy memory or creating the beginning of a new happy time.  We all have a plethora of sparks and moments of fleeting happy joy, that can ignite our spirits to new vistas to creating "today's joy". Perhaps it is just the idea of actively looking back at a few happy memories to call up the joy we felt back then, and then let that joy help to create yet another spark of joy to carry us through our busy, crazy, noisy day.

I find it interesting, too, that these memories of days gone by just seem to pop into my mind, at sometimes an odd moment, and then grab my attention in such a subtle manner. I find myself smiling at the memory, and then I wonder if I can rekindle that feeling in the creation of a new, yet somewhat similar, memory that will build upon those earlier sparks of joy.

If you have one of those memory sparks of joy you would like to share with me (and my listeners 😊), please email me at phxgodess@gmail.com, or leave a voice message using the link at the end of the notes.

Thanks for listening! May Love and many sparks of joy shower you always,

Kari

Ok, I'm back after a couple of weeks of working on new weaving classes and projects, and taking my little Sissy to her Training classes, and I am eager to get into more creating of many sparks of Joy.  I've missed talking to you all and hope that you have been creating and spreading lots of joy and happiness each and every day.

I was inspired this week by an article a friend shared with me about the very important efforts we need to make to create happiness and joy in our lives, and the wonderful benefits doing that has on our mental health.  I wanted to share that information, and links, with you, my dear listeners, so we can all bring up the levels of Happy, Joy and Hope in our own spaces and even reach out and touch others' lives with that positive, creative energy.

I love to be pampered! Don't you? And I believe it is time to do lots of pampering to validate a job well done, whatever that job might be. We are all so eager to try to influence our attitudes with motivation and purpose, and yet forget to give ourselves the acknowledgment of an achievement that has been in the making for some time. That's where pampering can come into the picture to give us a good shot of that 'atta boy' or 'atta gal' juice. Why not treat yourself when you have conquered that task that has been hovering over you for the longest time? Doesn't it feel good to reach that goal, knowing you did something you set out to do? Doesn't that accomplishment deserve some sort of celebration, perhaps in the form of pampering yourself, treating yourself, thus bolstering your confidence and joy that you did "It"? Of course if does! And the magic of that is you get to say what form that treat or pampering might take. Just remember, to make it something fun and something that will spark with joy!

Share your sparks of joy with me by emailing me at phxgodess@gmail.com, or leaving a voice message. I will joyfully share your sparks and let them light up someone else's universe, too!

Thanks for listening and being part of my Sparks of Joy. Brightest of Blessings, Kari

Do you like surprises? At least the good, fun ones?  I like the kind of surprises that make me happy, make me giggle, or even get me to just laugh out loud.

Sometimes I find myself getting a surprise from the most unlikely source, and that is one of the best surprises I can imagine.  When you really don't see them coming, yet they charge your day with a ton of joy and good feelings, that is a wonderful spark of joy! I love the kinds of surprises that inspire me & motivate me, and especially encourage the creative part of me to keep creating.  To recognize that joy is the end result of so many surprises in my life is a blessing, too.

Share your surprising sparks of joy with me, and maybe you'll hear about them on the next episode of the podcast.  You can leave a voice message (link at the end of this synopsis), or email me at phxgodess@gmail.com.  I'd love to share your stories!  Thanks for listening!

What a time we find ourselves in...a totally different type of stress, that really has pushed us all to our personal limits. What the world needs now is a ton of kindness! Twenty years ago there was a trend of doing "random acts of kindness", and people did their best to spread that sentiment. A simple act of kindness does have such a profound effect on the receiver, and it has an immeasurable "pay back" for the giver. That's just the way the Universe works.

When we spot those random acts, or find we are about to partake in doing one ourselves, the feeling of joy that washes over us can be very gratifying. I believe that very gratification causes us to want to continue more acts of kindness, to spread the joy to all we might meet.

In this episode, I mentioned a weaver, in Australia, who had posted a lovely YouTube about Kindness. I want to share the link, with her permission, to spread this kind, loving, & beautiful gift. It is about 8 minutes long, & may very well pull on your heart strings a few times. Please enjoy.

Kelly Casanova's "Kindness" video link: https://youtu.be/W4PBxgQpeoI

It would be wonderful to hear some of your sparks of Joy, random acts of kindness and share them here. Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com and I will gladly add your stories (with your OK to share) in the next episode of "A Spark of Joy".

I hope you experience many random acts of kindness, and spread the joy, far & wide.

There are so many ways we can create energy, positive or negative, that we cannot even fathom the effects we might be creating every day!  With every word we utter, every sentence we type on a social media post, or text we send, we are adding to a particular level of energy that is felt throughout the entire Universe.  I want my energy that gets thrown out into the vastness of the Universe to be joyful and full of good feelings.  Not the "airy fairy" type that really does have it's place in the universe, but more the powerful, "pull on the heartstrings and funny bones, Yeah I got that" wave of strength and happiness that will push back on the negative dark energy that might be lurking around us at any given time. If we share that special joy with others, and they share with even more people, the joy that permeates the Universe will exponentially chase the negative away.  We will be happier and stronger and more connected when joy is what we share, and that's a pretty cool thing to share. Right?

Share your sparks of joy with me, and I will share them (with your permission) and let's Sparkle together!  Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com or leave a voice message (link below). I would love to hear from you!

To say that being patient will bring about joy, as well as reduce stress energy, is a rather bold statement, on my part, but I have to say, I do know this to be true. From my own experience and experimenting with efforts to change my attitude and outlook at a moment of impatience, I have noticed I can reduce that level of stress I find myself in, and bring on a feeling of joy. In any given situation, it might be helpful to step outside of myself, or get out of my current attitude, and really observe what is going on at that exact moment I am feeling stress and impatience. Once that shift occurs in my universe, all things take on a different perspective and meaning that can be more enlightening and joyful.  Try looking, and feeling, the other side of that moment, and take a deep breath, and let the joy that is right there flow around you, and calm you.  It is quite the remarkable gift to share with those around you!

Share your sparks of joy with me, email me at phxgodess@gmail.com or leave a voice message (link below), and I will joyfully share them, with your Ok to share, of course.

Sparkle on!

What a joy it is to recognize and enhance a moment of an intuitive insight, and realize you "knew that was going to happen", or you got a glimpse of a future event, that now makes sense and causes you to smile in delight! We can certainly strengthen those spurts of intuition simply by noticing when they happen, and maybe even sharing them, with another, at the time you get them.  Not a bit of effort involved, no forcing it to happen, and no idea that it needs to be ignored or pushed away as silly!  It is one of the greatest gifts the Universe has to give us, and it is one that is so easy to cultivate too.  We only need to spot it, acknowledge it, and be grateful for this wonderful gift.  A gift we all have, by the way, in some degree or another.

It is time to watch for and see those happenings of intuition in our every day lives, and experience them to the fullest!

Email me with your noticed intuitive moments, those sparks of joy you have experienced, and I will cheerfully share them on the podcast. Send those moments to me at Phxgodess@gmail.com, or leave a voice message, link at the end of this summary.

Thanks!  Let's open our intuition to lots of sparks of joy!

Can we really change or control the influences of others and outside happenings on our own psyche?  I like to think that we can make the choice to either be dragged down into the pit of despair and negativity, or uplift ourselves to the light of a more positive and joyful frame of mind and spirit.  We just have to get to the point where we are willing to acknowledge just exactly what emotion and thought process we find ourselves in, and make a positive move to capture the joy in the moment.  Even going through the biggest downer helps us find that proverbial silver lining, if we look for it.  First. we have to see where we are, and then be willing to make the choice to pull ourselves out of the darkness, and start creating a small sliver of joy, that will grow to a spark of joy, to be shared with others, to help them find the joy in their moments of negativity.  Then, we can reflect on that lesson, that journey, and know that we have the strength to be joyful, and grateful for the lesson learned.

Share your sparks of joy with me, email me at phxgodess@gmail.com or leave a voice message (link below), and I will joyfully share them, with your Ok to share, of course.

Reconnecting with friends and family is one of those happy moments that we should all seek out and create, especially after the year we have all had!!  To say that 2020 was a challenge is the understatement of the century! And now, it is time to take steps to reconnecting to those that mean so much to us.  We are, by nature, social creatures, and we need to experience and share our hearts, our minds, and ideas with those we love.  It is time to reconnect, it is time to reflect on what we have learned of ourselves and it is time to share our joys and sorrows with each other.  When we share our sorrows, we find out we are not alone in our grief and our hardships, and when we share our joys, we will discover we have more strength and love that will certainly help us, and each other, get through the rough patches.

Please send me those sparks of joy of your reconnecting with your friends and family, and share how the stories helped warm your heart and put a smile on your face.  Was there a moment of happy, positive joy that would perhaps ring true for another?  Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com and I'll share them, with your permission!

Sparkle on!

What a joy it is to learn new things that help us be more creative and expressive of our "creative side"!  If you could make a resume of all the things you have learned, let's say, in the last five years, what would that look like? And, what rewards might you entice yourself with to complete those projects & learning opportunities and move onward to the next new adventure?

These last few weeks I have completed two extensive Photography courses, my first major weaving project, a few old crochet projects that had been stuffed in my yarn box for well over a year, filed my taxes, and gotten caught up on "work related projects" that had been dragging on for at least 2-3 months this year!  And now, I am going to bake some cupcakes! A well-earned and well-deserved reward!

If you would like to share your resume of completed projects, and your rewards for getting them to a "done", please email me at Phxgodess@gmail.com, or leave a voice message (link at the end of this note).  If it's ok with you, I'll share them on the next podcast, and hopefully inspire others to share their sparks of joy, as well.

Keep creating those sparks of joy!

Laughing really is the best medicine, according to experts all over the world. Everyone can do it, and probably do it on a daily basis.  It is a wonderful way to push away those negative vibes and get on the brighter side of the day.  Everything from a small grin, to a smile, to a giggle and right up to a deep, up from the gut, belly laugh, will make it easy to add a little bit of joy for anyone to enjoy the light and happy energy.  And the fact is, laughter is contagious! And what a fun gift to share with friends and family, and even strangers that happen to cross your path!

Feel free to share your laughter filled moments, and I might just share them on a future podcast (with your permission, of course).  Send me an email at phxgodess@gmail.com.  You can also leave a voice message at the link at the end of the show notes.

Don't forget to laugh and sparkle!

Would you consider yourself to be impulsive? Or do you get those pangs of guilt when you do something that you didn't have planned? This week I had a small epiphany of how joyful a moment of impulsive activity, in the midst of trying to adhere to a rigid task list, can be. It was actually a bit liberating to allow myself to be distracted from the given path I was on, and give myself permission to NOT feel bad or guilty because of it. I just "added" that distracting activity to my "list of things to get done today", and completed a long overdue project as a result of allowing that burst of impulsive activity to be added to what I wanted to accomplish at the time.

This liberating and enlightening moment led to a huge spark of joy, in several different areas, and I just had to really look at "why". The sense of freedom that overcame me was simply the result of dropping the potential guilt, and allowing myself to feel joy at finishing the project...finally telling myself I had completed it, and that made me very happy.

Have you given yourself permission to be a little distracted, in order to finish off a project that has been sitting dormant for a long time? Have you, maybe, mixed it up on how you approach that endless "to-do list", by allowing a distraction or two, on purpose? I'd love to hear about your sparks of impulsively created joy. Just send me an email at phxgodess@gmail.com or maybe leave a voice message at the link below. I'm happy to share those sparks of joy, with your permission, so we can all enjoy them.

Sparkle on & let your light shine!

Coincidence or Synchronicity? Now, that is the question that can spark a lot of joy, especially when approached in the spirit of wonder and hope of learning fun things about ourselves.  The definitions are similar enough, so I'll quote what I found about the "origin" of synchronicity, just to make the distinction. "Synchronicity is a concept first introduced by analytical psychologist Carl G. Jung "to describe circumstances that appear meaningfully related yet lack a causal connection." Jung held that to ascribe meaning to certain acausal, or synchronistic, coincidences can be a healthy, even necessary, function of the human mind—principally, by way of bringing important material of the unconscious mind to attention."

So, which do you choose?  Share your sparks of joy on your notable synchronicities (or coincidences) by sending me an email at phxgodess@gmail.com or maybe leave a voice message at the link below.  I'm happy to share those sparks of joy, with your permission, so we can all enjoy them.

Keep sparkling!

As easy as it is to fall into the throws of stress and a pit of negativity, it is easier to manifest joy, in order to pull ourselves up and out of that pit!  We just have to believe in ourselves and know, without a shadow of a doubt, that we deserve to be happy, and that we have the ability and power to bring those sparks of joy to the forefront of our hearts.  If we can learn to recognize and cherish the happiness and joy each moment we experience, we can shine bright and help others do the same. Take a quiet moment, a few deep breaths and let that joy wash over your very being! We can manifest that precious energy and joy, each and every day!

Share how you manifest your sparks of joy, by leaving an email at phxgodess@gmail.com, or leave a voice message (link at end of show notes) and Let's sparkle, together!

Finding our personal quiet moments can be challenging, at best, in these crazy, topsy-turvy and challenging days.  It is important to realize those very moments are the fabric of our sanity, our ability to cope and staying in touch with our true selves.

How do you unwind, unplug, ground and center "you"?  Would you share with me what your 'go to' is when it comes to finding a perfect (or near perfect) personal moment?  I would share it on this podcast, in a future episode, with your "ok to share.

Feel free to comment or send me your sparks of joy for sharing in my future podcasts by sending me an email at phxgodess@gmail.com.

You can also leave a voice mail recording that I may also include in a future podcast, at https://anchor.fm/phxgodess/message

thanks for listening.

It really is all about the sharing of those sparks of joy that really gets the imagination to kick in and help create the next bucket list item we might be ready to take on.  It doesn't matter if it is a simple joy of learning new things, or an extreme blast of intense exhilaration from taking on many of the biggest moments of our lives.  We still experience something that addresses our very reason for being, and sharing those bucket list items with another makes them more real, and certainly important for our own degree of joy and delight.

Share your most favorite, or challenging, bucket list goal items by emailing me at Phxgodess@gmail.com, and let me know if I can share them on a future podcast.  I'd love to hear your sparks of joy as you move through this journey we call life.

Let's Sparkle!

It is important to recognize and acknowledge those sparks of joy that we have experienced in our past that have molded who we are, how we think, and how we treat others in our present day lives.  Remembering those life-changing lessons, from parents or a favorite teacher, can be instrumental in keeping our attitudes in a more positive light, & perhaps, help us to keep moving forward in our own personal growth.

Please email me with any comments, or even your memory & "thank you" of that special person that helped you find that strength and joy in your life.  Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com & let me know, too, if it's ok for me to mention your Spark of Joy in a future podcast.

Sparkle on! :-)

Sometimes the simplest events spark a memory of joy from days past that can cause your heart to smile, and make your day so much more joyful.  We need those sparks of joy to put our energy back to a happy place, and sometimes it only takes a song we used to listen to a lot or a smell wafting from a kitchen, or even just a glimpse of something similar to an event in our past to trigger our memory that makes us smile. Bringing those happy and positive moments into the forefront of our thoughts, for just that quick moment, will have quite the impact on attitude and outlook for the rest of the day.  With enough practice and attention to those happy memories, it becomes easier to shine and share that joy.

Share your happy time memories and sparks of joy, and your comments, with me and I'll happily pass them on in future podcasts.  Email me at phxgodess@gmail.com.
