2021 marks 30 years since the passing of Gene Roddenberry, the Great Bird of the Galaxy.

Rightly we celebrate his great legacy in the creation of Star Trek, but his life was far from just about a 60s Sci-fi TV show, a story worthy of a Biopic you might say?

In the that vein who would you cast as Gene, who would you cast as Majel Barrett in a warts and all Biopic of the father of Trek?

A Big Thank You to those who provided some great suggestions on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

But I want more?

A new segment this week - Memory Alpha Download or M.A.D for short.

This week I profile the details of a one-off character in the show and then look into the expanded history of the character in Memory Beta (the books etc).

I'm not a fan of the novels as they tend to lead to "some" in the community to gatekeep and I've witnessed a few new fans being shamed for not knowing the expanded details, which makes me MAD - so this segment is looking to point how silly the Beta material can get.

Let me know what you think and what Trek topics you'd like to hear profiled next.

Michael Dorn sent Twitter into a frenzy saying he could hear Starfleet call.

Turns out it was an ad for a Mobile Star Trek game, Star Trek: Legends.

Some fans were disappointed it wasn't the announcement of Worf' return on screen.

I'm more disappointed that its yet another combat focused Trek Mobile App game,

so I ask, could we ever see a puzzle based problem solving game in the vein of co-operative Trekkie-like play on mobile?
