This podcast sets out to deepen and destigmatise the conversation around mental health, motivating people to stay in tune with their emotions and develop good wellness practises. Fear, anxiety and many other obstacles can potentially restrict one's progression - if they let it! Each and every individual has the power to determine their trajectory, to feel freedom in every choice they make and to write themselves into a future they can be proud of.
In this episode I explore and discuss my own definition of self-love, the positive impact it has on my life and the time it has taken to truly embrace the process of change. Hardships and personal struggles will test us beyond our limits and leave us feeling lost, but in showing yourself a little love and giving yourself a little time, you might choose a path of healing that might just lead you to finding yourself.
Do we become lost in the illusion of dreaming or envisioning a future for ourselves, or is it simply a thing of beauty, something that provides us with a little direction? Does it steer us away from reality or help us navigate through it? In this episode, Joshua and I discuss constraints and freedom in relation to our dreams and creative approaches.
Despite the easy access to resources, mental health still remains taboo and widely stigmatised. In this episode, Sorubi and I discuss why there is still great levels of fear concerning mental health in the South Asian community, particularly the Tamil community, why the stigma exists and some of the root causes that have led to such fears.
I want to educate myself about mental health issues by learning about people's experiences and broadening the conversation. We all have what it takes to face our demons, we have the power to write our own stories, and have the courage to carve our own paths. We can be risk takers, change makers, leaders, creators and more. We can be anything we want to be - we are timetrenders after all!
