Jodie studied Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting and has since been in countless professional productions playing lead roles in both the West End and touring casts. Jodie discusses how it felt to find out she would be playing the iconic role of Elphaba in Wicked. Jodie has also played Heather Chandler in Heathers, Katherine Howard in SIX and Carmen in Fame. Alongside performing professionally Jodie owns an incredibly successful Drama School - ‘Jodie Steele Associates’ where she teaches teens and young adults about the industry and offers professional workshops across the country. In this episode I talk to the incredibly inspiring Siobhan Dillion - a finalist of ‘How do you solve a problem like Maria’ a hit talent show that documented the search for an undiscovered musical theatre performer to play the role of Maria Von Trapp in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of The Sound of Music.

Siobhan talks openly about her journey which led to a deal with universal (the worlds leading music company) before landing professional roles in productions such as Grease, Cabaret, Ghost and Sunset Boulevard in London and New York City.

Siobhan now lives in LA and is a fully trained meditation teacher. She shares her teachings including reprograming your mind and maintaining a state of calmness before and during high pressured situations like auditioning.

Siobhan has also kindly sent us a video of a breathing exercise she uses with her clients to calm nerves.
