Ozempic has become one of the most talked-about “quick fixes” for weight loss — but is it really the answer? In this episode, I share my honest take: if someone is morbidly obese and in immediate danger, there may be a place for it.
But for the vast majority, relying on a drug like this raises more questions than it answers.
There are still no long-term studies on the true impact of Ozempic. Beyond that, it’s worth asking yourself:
Will losing weight this way make you genuinely proud of yourself?
Will it improve your overall health, not just the number on the scale? And perhaps most importantly — what example are you setting for your kids when it comes to discipline, resilience, and self-care?
Real transformation doesn’t come from shortcuts. It comes from lifestyle changes that not only extend your life, but also improve the quality of it.

One of the toughest truths about modern healthcare is that so many deaths are preventable. In Ireland, studies suggest that around 35% of hospital deaths could have been avoided with lifestyle changes. In the U.S., it’s estimated that nearly 80% of all-cause hospital mortality is linked to lifestyle-related factors.
The reality is this: the choices we make every day — around food, movement, stress, and habits — don’t just affect us. They affect our families, our children, and even our grandchildren.
Taking ownership of your health means more than just adding years to your life. It means improving the quality of those years. It’s about being the strong, active parent who sets an example. It’s about being the healthy grandparent who can play, guide, and create memories without being limited by preventable illness. Most importantly, it’s about not becoming a burden on the people you love most.
If you’re ready to invest in your health and give your family the best version of you, now is the time to act.

In this episode, I share the story of how I tore my calf playing hurling — and more importantly, how I approached the healing process both physically and mentally.
That first night, I allowed myself to sit with the frustration and disappointment, really feeling the emotions instead of pushing them away.
But the very next morning, I made a decision: I wasn’t going to feel sorry for myself. I was going to focus on healing.
From there, everything became about small, intentional steps. I set tiny goals to build momentum, and each one gave me progress to celebrate.
I restructured my training program to focus on rehab work, and I made sure to keep training my non-injured leg so I could maintain as much strength as possible.
One of the most powerful shifts I made was in how I spoke to myself. Not once did I speak negatively about my leg or my situation.
Instead, I treated the injury as part of my journey, not the end of it.
This episode is a reminder that setbacks don’t have to define us. With the right mindset, structure, and patience, recovery can become an opportunity for growth.

Chronic stress is what happens when your body’s “stress switch” gets stuck in the on position.
A little stress here and there — like running late for a meeting or prepping for a big presentation — can actually sharpen your focus.
But when stress doesn’t let up for weeks, months, or even years, it starts to take a real toll.
This kind of stress often comes from things that feel constant: money worries, a heavy workload, relationship struggles, caregiving, or ongoing health issues.
Your body keeps pumping out stress hormones like cortisol, and instead of helping, it wears you down.
Over time, chronic stress can show up as poor sleep, low energy, anxiety, depression, digestive problems, weight changes, or even higher risk for things like heart disease.
The tricky part? Many people get so used to feeling this way that it starts to feel normal — until their body forces them to pay attention.
The good news is, it doesn’t have to stay that way. With the right tools — whether that’s exercise, mindfulness, better sleep routines, coaching, or professional support — it’s possible to break the cycle and start feeling like yourself again.

For five years, I lived with a constant fear: that my mother’s lifestyle would cost her life far too soon.
I worried every day but avoided the hard conversation I knew we needed to have. When I finally found the courage to sit down with her, everything changed.
What followed has been nothing short of remarkable. My mother began lifting weights, walking most days, and practicing yoga and tai chi.
She quit smoking, lost over 50 pounds, and completely transformed her health and mindset.
For the first time in her life, she recently told me she’s proud of herself — and those words meant more than I can describe.
But the journey wasn’t easy. Just over a year ago, she was struggling with severe anxiety, suffering panic attacks alone on the couch for months, trapped by the weight of her health challenges.
To see her now — strong, confident, and thriving — is proof that change is possible at any stage of life.
In this episode, I share the story of how one difficult conversation led to a ripple effect of transformation, not only in her health but in her outlook on life.
It’s a reminder that sometimes the conversations we avoid are the very ones that can change everything.
If you’re a high performer feeling stuck in your own health, or if someone you love is struggling, I’d love to help you start your own journey of transformation.

Most people think weight loss means going “all in” cutting out carbs, eating clean 100% of the time, and following strict food rules.
The truth? That approach almost always ends in burnout, frustration, and starting over… again. In this episode, I break down why overcomplicating your nutrition is the fastest way to fail and why the real secret to long-term results is doing less but doing it consistently.
We’ll tackle the myth that you need an extreme diet to make progress, and I’ll show you how simplifying your approach not only makes it easier to stick with but also creates better results.
You’ll learn the power of small, consistent changes and why focusing on a few key habits delivers the biggest return on your effort.
I’ll also share practical examples of what “less is more” looks like in the real world and how to stop letting food rules control your life.
If you’re ready to ditch the diet rollercoaster and finally make weight loss feel simple, sustainable, and stress-free, this episode will show you exactly how to start.

This podcast dives into the journey of running from life’s problems and the constant search for quick fixes, often through mentorship and external guidance. I explore the ways we avoid dealing with reality, choosing instead to latch onto others’ advice, hoping it will provide a shortcut to happiness or a way out of discomfort. Along this path, I’ve spent countless hours and a lot of money, only to find that these temporary solutions often mask the real work that needs to be done. Through hard-earned lessons, I discuss the fear and resistance that keep us from accepting our reality and the transformative power of finally confronting what we’ve been avoiding. This podcast shares stories, insights, and reflections on the journey from avoidance to acceptance, uncovering the growth that only happens when we stop running and start facing our truth.
In this episode, I’m getting real about the three biggest mistakes that have held me back—and maybe you can relate, too. First, I’ll talk about the all-too-familiar habit of pretending everything’s fine, even when it’s not. From hiding behind a mask to avoid vulnerability, I learned the hard way how this approach only delayed healing. Then there’s the urge to run away from problems, thinking if I just ignore them, they’ll disappear. Spoiler alert: they don’t! Finally, I’ll dive into how slipping back into old habits, like binge eating, became a crutch and comfort in tough times, even when I knew better. Join me as I unpack these mistakes and explore what I’ve learned from each one—because we all make them, but it’s how we bounce back that counts.

Over the years I have coached 1000's of kids and one thing I have noticed is that kids pick up either good or bad habits from their parents. Sometimes we don't feel the need to improve ourselves but in today's episode I talk about why you should be obligated to improve your health for your kids.
So you don't pass down unhealthy habits to them which can set them up for failure in their adult lives. This episode is meant to hurt your feelings, but please note it is coming from a place of love and I want you to be the best version of yourself.
And so do your kids..

We are all afraid of what people think of us, particularly when it comes to those who are close to us such as our family and friends. Allowing someone to hold power like that over you is very dumb, you leave someone stop you from doing something you love because what they may say??
That's dumb right?? That's what I speak about it today's episode and I shared my story from how I left a banking career to becoming an Entrepreneur.
Enjoy!!

I'm one of the strongest people I personally know, for a few months I got attacked by the Anxiety Monster real bad. I shifted my perspective about it and truly laid it to the side. In this episode I speak about how I overcame it by simply shifting my perspective about it.
Hope this helps. Enjoy!

In today's episode I had Aaron O Neill on the podcast, Aaron was the first ever guest on The Big Gibbon Show, so it was great to chat with him again. We spoke about masculinity, how it's being taking out of men in today's society and the damaging affect it has on men. We chatted in depth about living with purpose and how to take responsibility for your life and grow as a result of it.
Today I have my Fiancée Gemma Whoriskey on the Podcast. The last 8 weeks our lives have been flipped upside down and Gemma found out she had a brain tumour which then at a later date she found out it's uncurable brain cancer. This is by far the biggest challenge of her life and mine as well, so we thought it would be a good idea to come on and talk about it and how we have been feeling about the entire thing. The best part of our relationship is how well we communicate, and we really hope this helps you out.
There's plenty of laughs in it and sarcasm so you will have a good laugh, maybe a small cry and you will 100% feel inspired to be a better person after listening to Gemma's mindset and how strong she is as a person.
