I'm in my kitchen right now. Cooking chickens, actually not cooking. They're on a pan. But, was thinking about what the subtitle could be for this episode, what I want it to be. And I don't know.

I think it's aa peptalk, a peptalk for myself. It's getting scary, this podcast thing. I feel more confronted with myself, and I feel a loss of control maybe, or maybe i'm just doig BIG NEW THINGS, as going to New York in April, It's Really big to me.

I'm going to New York in April, I havn't bought the tickets yet, but it's planned.

So I think, what is comming up for me, is that I cant keep up? With myself maybe, then iød ask myself, what is it I feel like, I can't keep up with?

I think I'm holding a perception that I should be having more interview right now, I miss them. I miss having the conversation, I didnt know, that i'd be loving it so much as I do, but I really do.

Thank you for listening, thank you for being here, I appreciate you.

Since October last year (I'm pretty sure) I've been having conversations with, Mental Health Coaches, Activist in the Queer Community, and Allys. I've been wanting to wait to share it with you, of course, that's been my intention the whole time, to share them and let them be part of creating more consciousness.

But, I think I just wanna drop it. It might either hold me from posting, and I can't hold that thought for long. That's what this episode is about. Not holding back, - I do not want one to hold back, if the holding back, makes them lose faith, interest and passion. I saw this sentence on Lewis Howes instagram, and that made me #ReThink, my decision.

Hi, i'm back, and it feels really good.

I've been nervous, anxious, and still am.

This might sound cliche to you. But, i'd never thought or imagined, that what i set myself to, in second year of highscool would give me this gift of tranformation.

The conversations i've had on here has been such a teaching excperince to me, that I'm gratefull for. And i'll continue the learning.

We obiosly had a lot a talk about, and sure could have kept on.  But for now, so far on this second episode with Magnus Bulkan we've been touching on self growth, reflecting on the work and meaning we have put into meaningful relationships, and being ware of this. We also dive into what the saying "you are going to give" what it means for Magnus, It's a poster that he has on his wall, inspired by stoicism, he tells a lot more about this in our conversation. As the last thing we talked about how the society handles grief, how we talk about it, and how we handle it, and act around it. Mentioning it in my podcast, for it to be more and more normal, since we all experience it someway.  Thank you for being here, and listening. I appreciate you taking time for that. On this time with Mette Hansen on the Dare To podcast I had a conversation with Amber Pariera, a mental health coach. We talk about the self hate that Amber experienced after she found out she is gay. We talk self development and self growth, how to be aware and choose the right people in your life to support you, work with you, and lift you up while being grounded. We talk a lot about the journey of discovering and unpacking your true self, while still being on that journey. We also talk about how we keep helping and how to inspire more of the people and how to make things more available to be seen.

On this we also talk about the importance of accepting that things takes time, and being aware that a seed cant grow in the wrong environement, more specifically, it's important that one is ready and pen for change to receive and make it.

I had a great conversation with Magus Bulkan. Magnus Bulkan is a fitness and self-growth influencer and a content creator. He works a job, besides trying to build a carrer on his passion.

What i found really inspiring when i discorvered Magnus channel about a year ago (i think) is that Magnus also brings mental health into his videos, in a way that is helpfull, inspiring and learning. Magnus was 12 when he started working out, he was overweight and had low self-esteem due to a lot of bullies at his school. He started to run a lot, and undereating, it came out of control. He then realized, with support from family and friends that he had to gain back some weight. This was when he really got into bodybuilding. Since that he has learned a lot on life, but as he says, he still is learning.

Reading books about self growth, and the philosophy of how the human is wired and works, is one of Magnus interrests. He began to read about to years ago, and have been trying to read a book a month, (which is a lot for him, as he usually does not read).

I also talk with Magnus about our use of social media. The importance of choosing a feed that gives you value. And why is it so hard to control our use of Tiktok, we haved different ways of controlling this, but that's okay. The good thing is being aware of how you use social media, and if you arent there yet, then just try things out, choose yourself instead of controllin, everything comes in small steps.

As already said, I did have a really good conversation with Magnus, and I'm already planning a 2. part with him, because we didnt simply have enough time to talk about the questions and themes, so we'll take more time for that.

In this episode I talk with Katie Filer about why she decided to switch from crossfit and instead compete in bodybuilding. She saw a chance in challenging her mind and mind and body in another way, that would make her come out of her comfort zone. Whatever you put yourself throught, you will be able to do it, it just comes down to dedication and your WHY behind it.

We also talk about work and relationship. How did it challenget the relationsship when competing? (They also posted a video about that on their youtube channel. Search for Jaime and Katie Filer on youtube, and you'll find it).

She tells about being a part of her wife business, and help people make a change for themself. Katie and her wife also restarted their youtube togehter about a year ago, when Katie prepared for competing, Katie opens up and tell avout the experince in doing content for youtube, and the skill in that, as well as how much effort it takes compared to sharing you life on Instagram and Tiktok. But being able to share longer videos from traveling and behind the scenes is worth it, and why it makes its so fun to keep on with. Katie also tells her story on telling her parents when she meet her first girlfriend. Katies mother was togehter with a man, but found and remarried a women, she now identify as lesbian.

Because Katie was raised in a home that was modelled: love whoever you want to love, she believes that this gave her space for experiencing her sexuality. Ans this is the circumstances that everybody need growing up. When Katie was in middleschool she would kiss girls, and at freshmen year of College, she meet her first girlfriend on Tinder, and introduced her to her mother, who were fully accepting about it. But since Katies parents where divorced, she didn't tell her father until her second relationship with a girl, which was in Junior in College. It didnt went well telling her father, though her stepmom was accepting, but it took some time before her dad got his head wrapped around it. Today her dad loves Katies wife just as much as Katie. Though there are still a lot of people that aren't allowed to love who they love, this is heartbreaking. Having conversations like this and talking openly about sexuality creates a space for people to feel connected, and hopefully get the courage to be themself.

Sitting down with Jaime Filer to talk about how mental health and physical health are euqal important, and how to improve yours. We also talk about discovering your sexuality later in life. Before Jaime had her first girlfriend, she was engaged with a man, but felt something missing, therefor she knew she had to end her relationship with her fiance, and discover the thing she felt she was missing. Jaimes first girlfriend, was her masseuse. This didn't last, and after a year Jaime got in contact with her now wife Katie who she lives with in Florida.

Leading up to meeting Katie and moving to florida, Jaime was the editor and chief for one of the biggest body building magazines in Canada. When she got in contact with Katie, she realized that she had to meet the girl. This led to falling in love. While trying to navigate a new relationship with long distance, having to figure out how to quit her job, get a visa, get a green card, get married and get a new job, all in the spand of a year, Jaime experienced a lot of anxiety, because often you'll take these steps in a longer amount of time, but she had to get things figured out fast, and she didn't want to bring this negative energy into a new relationship, nobody wants. This was when Jaime knew she had to figure out how she was going to manage her anxiety, and that's when and why she started reading and generally consuming as much about self-development as she possibly could.

She didn't find it hard telling her parents and friends about dating a girl. Listen and get some advice from Jaime about this!

We also talk about Jaimes exerince with eating disorder, how she dealt and managed to come back to life with a healthier realtionship to food and training.

How does Jaime balance family life and work life? She says she doesn't, but does manage time to both. Listen to hear advice on that, if you stuggle with the balance in that!

Jaime Filer (@Jaim91 on Instagram) is a fitness, and mental health coach and personal trainer, she helps LGBTQ+ with anxiety, improve their confidence through fitness. She's a First Pform athlete, and identify as she/her, and gay. I'm glad you're here to listen and hopefully get some advice, inspiration and, or courage to live your life the fullest.

Do you struggle with anxiety or need somebody to talk to. Jaime and I dm's are always open on Instagram, (Jaim91) and (metteghansenn).
