In 2018 I founded Lumos Creative, a full-service marketing agency based in Dallas, Texas. We work with established women-owned businesses to organically grow and enhance their online presence. In less than 4 years we have scaled to the six-figure agency with a team of female creatives all over the nation.

Lindsay Elizabeth Preston is a certified leadership coach for driven women who are ready to own their power so they can accomplish their dreams in business and beyond in order to live deeply fulfilling lives. She teaches her clients the neuroscience-backed process for life-long change.
Lindsay overcame a horrible divorce in her late 20s where she discovered her husband’s “work trips” were a cover up to living a double life engaged to (and living with) another woman. She suddenly became a heartbroken single mama who was jobless, distraught and broke.
She had her pain fuel her fire for change, and she sought out to learn how to create exactly what SHE wanted out of life. In just a few months, she learned how to do just that. Now, she lives even MORE of the life she once dreamed of.
Lindsay is a self-proclaimed neuroscience nerd, and all of her work is backed by neuroscience to work for the brain. She’s helped women all around the world create everything (and more) they want out of life.
She works with clients remotely in a private 1-on-1 setting from her beautiful office in the Dallas, Texas area. She has a podcast called, “Become An Unstoppable Woman” that has been featured on the “New & Noteworthy” list as well as within the self-help charts on iTunes. In her podcast, she challenges her listeners to become even more of the strong, resilient, and powerful women they were meant to be by teaching them how to program their brain for peaceful and fulfilling success.

After her experience working in a large full-service agency, and as part of an award-winning in-house marketing team for a multi-billion dollar financial institution, our founder and creative director, Jade, wanted to bring the same level of quality, strategy and design to the small business owner. She saw that while her agency team was serving large, corporate clients, small business owners need the same level of support and strategy. Working with a large agency is not as accessible or as practical for smaller businesses, and that's where the idea for a boutique agency serving just small businesses was born. Jade's parents are both entrepreneurs, and growing up she learned about the world of small business after spending every summer working with her family. She has a BFA in Advertising from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and lives in Huntsville, Alabama with her husband, Brandon and their Goldendoodle, Finn.

My name is Leslie Hernandez and I am the CEO of Backstage Makeup Professionals { @backtage.life }. I’ve had a passion for makeup & teaching since I was a little girl. I played with my mom’s Esteé Lauder gift samples and stored them in my Caboodle and did my makeup with them and recreated photos from gossip magazines (obviously this was before YouTube & Instagram era) I was that friend that did my friend´s makeup for quinceañeras parties in middle school. They would give me makeup as birthday gifts.
When I graduated high school I wanted to study makeup abroad, but back in the day that was not a serious career for my parents specially in a small town in Mexico so my second option was going to college for Business. I loved my classes & till this day I read business books & entrepreneur magazines, blogs, & podcasts. It is so fascinating!
Then I went to teaching and got my master’s in Science of Education from State University of NY & till this day I plan my training classes with the methods I learned in my master’s.
I had a beauty salon in Mexico for 10 years before moving to Dallas with my husband. When I got here, I wanted to stay in the beauty industry but I wanted to niche it down so I decided just to do makeup and hair, then eventually I added Microblading to my services.
I opened my suite and then rebranded to Backstage. I wanted it to be bigger than me and an establish brand standing by itself. Backstage was inspired by the energy and excitement that build up before your WOW moment. Backstage is the most desirable chair for any women. It's all about getting pampered. When someone's makeup is complete, they have that moment of finding themselves in the mirror and thinking "there she is!"
Being at Backstage is knowing that when the process comes to an end you will look good, you will feel good, and the world reacts to you in a different way.

Natalie Knowlton is the co-founder of WE THE BIRDS (a lifestyle brand + specialty French macaron bakery founded with her sister, Sarah Knowlton). In 2015, Natalie joined her sister in Dallas, TX where they started a lifestyle blog called WE THE BIRDS. The name is a nod to their transient upbringing and life in constant "flight"; the sisters grew up living all over the world including, Singapore, Australia, Venezuela, France, Cambodia, and the US. What started as a creative outlet for two sisters, has blossomed into a multi-faceted business combining their talents and interests. Sarah’s professional background (with industry experience in fashion, design, & visual art) complemented by Natalie’s culinary prowess and business experience makes them a uniquely dynamic duo.
