Welcome to The Naked Point of View “where our conversations bare it all”
This podcast is based on the extraordinary connections and stories I’ve experienced from my 20 years in the intimate apparel industry.
I will be having inclusive, educational, (sometimes funny) conversations with people making a difference in the world of image of the mind, as well as the always evaluated, body.
Our interviews will host a range people in Fashion, Fitness, and Wellness who have all made inspiring impacts (and also talk about some of their struggles to get there), to educate us about Body and Mind positivity.
So sit back, enjoy.., and listen to us bare it all..
Today I’m talking with the founders of Taurah - a Canadian-Made and female founded brand that locally produces all natural wellness products such as a Yoga Mat cleanser (do you know how much bacteria lives on a mat if you don’t clean it)? They also have lavender calming and cucumber cooling mist, face masks and zinc sunscreens. Founders - Jessica and Rhae (your new wellness BFFs!) talk about their brand and are very transparent about all their ingredients – think vegan, cruelty-free, synthetic-free and alcohol-free.
On this podcast, listen to Jessica and Rhae talk about the process and execution of their start up, their careful quality selection and why they made their products for our wellness, and more tips on self care practices.

She started figuring out how to work out at home and also launched a blog which focus was to help mom’s realize they CAN fit “me” time back into their day, understand that fitness isn't all about the physical aspect but it can also lead to friendships, mental clarity and sometimes..., as in Brianne’s case, an unexpected new business venture she never saw coming.

I wanted to have more conversations about plant based wellness, more specifically CBD because I think its such an important and healthy self care opportunity that is still relatively newly accessible to mainstream consumers and I don’t think people know enough about it
Today, I am speaking with Amy Duncan who is the founder and CEO of Mowellens – a regenerative hemp CBC company. I met Amy through Instagram about a year ago, we have kept in touch here and there (Amy’s passion for life, health and wellness is contagious) – and we have finally made our way to this podcast together. I wanted to have Amy on because while the exposure of various CBD products is vastly growing, not all are made with the same level of quality, standards, and care.
Amy brings a deep understanding of the cannabis plant and 10 years in the healthcare industry, ranging from pharmacy, biotech and clinical laboratory. It was in the fall of 2016, preparing to launch a cannabis testing portfolio while running a genetics laboratory in Southern California, when her husband’s brain cancer returned. She stepped down from the laboratory to follow her own entrepreneurial dreams and start Mowellens.
Amy believes healthy soil creates the most nutrient dense and effective plants, foods, and products and guarantees that Mowellens products -from seed to soil to bottle, they honor the planet, their farmers, and the interconnectedness of us all. Beauty for a better you. Health goods to change your outlook on life. Results you can see and feel.
On this podcast, listen to Amy discuss how she built her life back up and towards this new direction after the loss of her husband, her education on CBD and their benefits, her recently acquired 77 acre farm for expanding Mowellens and her focus and views on the importance of self care.

Today, I pleased to speak with a friend of mine, Amy Welsman – founder of Paume. Paume is a nourishing hand sanitizer that’s better for your skin while also being mindful of the planet.
Prior to launching Paume, Amy has held many impressive careers. She started in advertising at JWT Toronto, she was the first employee at Knixwear, now a major women’s apparel brand, (and is now a share holder), she operated Welsman Corp, a consultancy firm and was a contributing lecturer for the Build a Better Business program at Shopify.
Amy’s idea to start Paume came to her when she and her husband brought their new baby, Eleanor home from the hospital. Being a new parent really heightened her awareness of germs and since she did not always have the time or opportunity to wash her hands with soap and water, she had stocked their home with plenty of hand sanitizer. However, they were harsh on the skin, they smelled terrible, and they were packaged in unappealing, disposable plastics. That is when it inspired Amy to create Paume - a unique, effective, nourishing formula with packaging that’s both elegant and sustainable.
On this podcast , listen to Amy discuss her start up mission and struggles, her creation of her own formula for Paume, starting a new company during Covid, and advice for new entrepreneurs doing the same!
If you want more – head over to Paume and you can get a 10% discount on your first order if you sign up for the newsletter.

Hi Everyone! Today’s podcast we are speaking to Catharine Arnston, founder and CEO of ENERGY BITS. With Covid winter upon us, we will be heading inside more so our health will become even more important. I found Catharine while listening to her on another podcast and I was so fascinated by her passion about increasing ones mental and physical health, I had to have her here with us.
This podcast will hopefully be a game changer for you. Catharine talks about her journey and years of research towards providing education about the benefits of Algae. Some benefits being - building your immune system, gaining more energy, nutrition and digestive support, providing workout fuel, detox and cleansing, increasing your physical and mental health, strengthening your hair and skin, increasing your focus, to name a few.
You can also give it to your kids and PETS! Algae is.., actually, food not a supplement.
Catharine started ENERGY bits after her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and advised by her oncologist that an alkaline diet would help her heal. Catharine immediately sprung into action to help her sister research alkaline foods and in the process, she discovered algae. When Catharine learned that algae was the most alkaline, plant-based, nutrient-dense food in the world and had been used for fifty years in Asia to improve health and longevity, she knew she had discovered something big (and yes, her sister fully recovered - thanks for asking).
And with big thanks to Catharine, The Naked Point of View has an ongoing PROMO CODE for buying some Energy Bits! Use the promo code NAKED to get 20% off. Shop for them HERE!
