In this episode, I get to sit down with Catherine Yearwood, owner of Catherine Yearwood Consulting, and previous owner of Hallelu Boutique. I worked for Catherine for 2 years as a photographer and now I am so lucky to be able to call her a friend. She truly showed me what it is like to work for someone who is a fearless leader and is always pushing you to be the best version of yourself.
She talks about building a business, her early years growing up on Wrightsville Beach, NC., leaning on her faith to get her through difficult and uncertain times, finding intention with what you do, and living bi-coastal with her husband.
As for Hallelu, (which comes from the root word Hallelujah, which means praise) she wanted their life and work to be a paise. They started the business with the intentionality to love people, to be patient with people, just to be there for everyone in the community and they still continue to do so today.

Hi friends! I am so excited to have one of my best friends, Emery Castor on for an episode! This is a super silly, giggly episode, but filled with stories about life changes and choices, and how to be selfish when it comes to making decisions for your future.
Emery and I started off as Instagram friends and now we’re friends for life. 6 years in and we are still as giggly as always. We talk about Emery’s journey with modeling and choosing to go to NC State instead of NYC to pursue modeling, going to college during a pandemic, learning that therapy is okay, and to take chances on things even if you don’t love the idea of it. She is the Wholesale Director and Assistant Creative Director at KB Swim.
I’m so proud of Emery and everything that she has accomplished over the last few years. I can’t wait to see what she does next and I’m so thankful to have her as a friend!

In this episode, Stephen and I talk about his journey on Youtube, riding Motocross, his adventures living abroad with host families in Spain and then in Chile, riding dirt bikes in Chile with his new friend Alvaro, and being on a high from the experiences God was giving him. In the blink of an eye everything changed for Stephen. After crashing his bike, Stephen broke his femur and had to be airlifted to a hospital in Chile for surgery. Stephen takes us through the whole experience, how he fought mentally and physically to get back on his feet, and about finding your purpose and drive in life.

Kylee Palombo is only a senior at UNCW and has hit the ground running when it comes to building her portfolio in the sports industry. In this episode, I brought Kylee on where we talked all things on facing an identity crisis, networking within your industry, being adaptable in a new environment, offering your capabilities to create a position that doesn't even exist, and breaking down your passions to remind yourself why you even started in the first place.
Kylee and I actually met through creating media positions at UNCW Athletics and are both gals who love a competitive game, a crisp photo, and the thrill of an upset.
Kylee is the Coordinator of Athletic Event Management and Promotion at Cape Fear Community College, she worked with Georgia Tech Football as a Spring Football Training Intern, and spent 3 seasons with the UNCW Men's Basketball team as a Team Photographer and Social Media Coordinator.
