Welcome to another episode with my friend and colleague, Dr. Sonya Sharififard! We talk about support systems, the importance of having a good support system, mentorship and more. This episode was actually recorded last June, a little while after my mom's passing (hence you will hear me speak on this in the beginning of the podcast), but I did not have the chance to share our episode until now. Please enjoy this amazing episode!
Join me on this episode - it's a solo episode again where I talk about what's going on with the phenomenon that I've been noticing (and not just me, all of my single and married friends included) with single men and women and issues with connecting, creating relationships and more. Today, more people are single than ever, and its becoming harder for people to find each other despite their future spouse being right under their noses. I share what I think is happening, why and my own experiences being single, ready to mingle and what needs to be done to hopefully bring people together.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another fun episode. My good friend, Quene Foree, is on my show, and I'm so excited for you to hear our conversation. The episode was recorded in late January before my mom ended up in the hospital, and I had to go on hiatus. I'll talk more about this in my next episode. Anyhow, Quene is someone I would love for you to listen to as we talk about happiness and what that means in life. Happiness isn't about material things but internal peace and well-being. She also does a mini meditation during the episode you don't want to miss.

Hi everyone, welcome back to another episode of Amplify Your Potential. On today's episode, my friend and fantastic guest, Janet Walters, talks about ageism and confidence. If you're over 40, finding work and changing careers can be challenging. Ageism is a real and discriminatory practice that occurs daily, especially to women who want to find work and change the trajectory of their careers. To top this off, our confidence can dwindle, leading to a cycle where we can feel unmotivated to do anything. Janet gives golden nuggets based on the stories she shares with me in this episode. You don't want to miss this, so please listen to this episode and let us know your thoughts!

Hey everyone, today, I bring my friend Dr. Ruth Akumbu on the podcast to talk to us about a hot topic today - diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging but in the context of cultural relevance. What does cultural relevance mean? It means looking at and identifying the culture that helps us to understand what each of these components mean. While many DEIB courses teach about the actual topics, with belonging being fairly new, culture is often overlooked. Dr. Akumbu and myself look into culture means and how it speaks to such an important topic that we must continue to address today.

Hey everyone, welcome back to my next episode with my long time friend, award winning journalist, Tania Rashid.
Tania and I talk about many different areas in this episode and I ask her what was the biggest lesson she learned through her travels to Bangladesh and other countries where she was reporting on human rights violations that had been occurring, and she said, "human resilience." You have to hear the rest of the episode where we talk about what this means and why human resilience.
We also talk about being Muslim and being Brown - how does this affect the way we live in society, especially with our own people who expect us to live according to their norms.
P.S. Please don't mind our voices kinda going in and out at times....although my Internet was strong, there were still some issues with Internet connectivity.

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the second episode of my podcast. I'm honored to introduce you to my friend, Gracie Ruth Melendez to the show. Today, we're talking about using LinkedIn to build relationships. This is important because we use social media quite a bit, and depending on what we need to get done, we must connect with others online. I met many of my good friends online, and then we built a relationship and quickly took that offline to meet up for coffee, lunches, dinners, and do business masterminds. During the pandemic especially, we were using LinkedIn and other social media quite a bit to connect with one another, setting virtual coffee dates on Zoom, and more. Once we were able to finally start meeting in person again, that's what we did. I met some amazing people in this manner!
So join me and Gracie as we discuss how we can build relationships on LinkedIn (things I'm still learning as well) and how to engage on posts, when to send messages, and when to post our posts to get the most engagement. Gracie is a LinkedIn coach and shows clients how to use LinkedIn to find clients and make sales through relationship building.

Hey everyone, thanks so much for tuning in to the first episode of my brand new podcast, called Amplify Your Potential with me, your host, Dr. Aasiyah Ghazi. Welcome to the show! I'm going to have some amazing guests and I can't wait to bring conversations that are though provoking, and full of golden nuggets.
I created this podcast because I want to learn from others who want to magnify their capabilities as leaders and humans. Improving ourselves, being a better version of ourselves, working on ourselves, overcoming impostor syndrome and gaining more confidence in ourselves is the tip of the iceberg. I'm looking to dive deeper with my guests, to understand the impact of the choices we make, how to build better relationships with others, open up to the opportunities that surround us, and become one within our highest selves. All of this leads to the development of our leadership identities, so this podcast was created for these reasons. For me to learn from you, and for us to learn from each other as we grow into version 2.0 of ourselves, 1% at a time.
Tune in and listen to what I've got to say. Hit the subscribe or follow button and share this podcast with everyone you know. And hey, if you like to be on my email list, please email me at podcast@draasiyah.com and I will add you to my email list.
