Welcome to Locs, Liner & Lip Gloss. This is a safe space for all the people who have everything to say, but no one to say it to. On this podcast, I want to be real and vulnerable with you and have open conversation about things that I think about on a day to day basis. As a black girl, I often feel like no one can relate to what i'm thinking when in reality there's probably plenty of people who think just like me.
Topics include: social media, healing journey, being black, self-confidence, self-perception, friendships, relationships, etc.
In this episode, I wanted to share some advice that I've learned over the last year, since i've been 20. In this episode I get into advice on all sorts of relationships: platonic and romantic, advocating for yourself, and having less social anxiety.
In this episode, I speak about what is imposter syndrome and how has that affected my life and hindered me from participating in or continuing things that I was passionate about because of fear. This podcast also speaks about low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence and how black people are expected to remain humble and never be overconfident in our abilities.
In my very first podcast episode, I want to share my experience with my healing journey and how motivational videos have helped but also tarnished my ability to be proactive in my healing journey. I'll go over how social media can make us compare ourselves to others and how we shouldn't be treating our lives with low-level energy.
