**This week we are embarking into a topic that really means a lot to us. As we approach our 100th episode, we began looking back at our own journey and what it has meant to us. For us, the journey has been fun, exciting, rewarding and gratifying. We have learned so much along the way, and because of that, we've grown as individuals.
We wanted to talk about why the journey matters this week as we wrap up Season 2 of the podcast. Today's episode is all about why the journey matters to include savoring each step of the way because once it's all said and done, you can't go back. Sometimes we lose focus of the present when we are only concentrating on the future, such as completing our goals or trying to meet certain benchmarks. We tend to forget about what is going on right now and that is wrong. We need to open our eyes up and savor each moment along the way. It's those moments that really make us grow as individuals.
The goal this week is to make you understand why it's important to take it all in and not just focus on the destination. The journey matters!
Thanks and enjoy!**

**New topic this week. New insights.
Topic this week is "Be Yourself"
When you are navigating the game of life, you have to understand what you bring to the table and the positive traits that you have. So many of us are constantly worry about how others are viewing us that we ultimately stop doing things we believe are important to us just because we are worried what others may think of us.
This week's topic is all about why it's important to understand being yourself is a good thing and how to go about your life focusing on "you" and not "them." The more you let people dictate what you do, the more you will never push the limits of what you can do.
The most important idea to take from this week is you will never aspire to greatness if you are always worried what others may think of you. Don't live your life worrying about criticism, just understand it will always be there. You are who you are, and that is awesome.

**You can see where we started and how we finished. We kept adding these important pieces to the vision statement and the final outcome is much better than when we started.
Thanks and enjoy!**
Great new series we start this week and it begins with part 1 today where we discuss at length why it's important to have a vision statement. Creating a vision, whether its personal, family oriented or in the workplace, gives you a path to travel along in order to fulfill certain goals. Think of it like this. We’ve all sat down and dreamed about what it would be like to have X or be able to do X or accomplish X. In those moments that may be a dream but ultimately this could also be a vision for you. We think vision is taking your dreams and putting them into reality. We think vision is painting a picture of what you want things to ultimately look like. We think vision is looking down the road and seeing things differently than they are now. Creating that vision gives you drive and motivation to complete the necessary tasks along the way.
“The Vision is the What, Where, or Who you want the company to become. The Mission **is the WHY the company exists, it is your purpose, passion, or cause.” So vision is more about how to create buy-in, inspiration and motivation. It gives us a direction on which way to go as we move forward.
Having a vision statement helps aid in decision making. We talked earlier about creating a vision being personal, family oriented or job related. If you created a vision for yourself to live a healthier lifestyle over the next year, this gives you direction as to what decisions you need to make in order to fulfill this vision. Creating a vision also helps create and define a culture. When the vision is set by the boss, it really lays out how everyone should make their decisions; it fuels the workforce and helps everyone and the company reach its potential.

Welcome back to our Wednesday edition! Today we are talking practical ways in which you can enhance your brand. Let's get right to it.
**Tune in to hear our specific examples for all of these.
Thanks and enjoy!**
**What a fascinating topic we have for you this week and it all kicks off today on part 1 of "Creating a Brand." So the idea this week is not to become conceited with yourself but to understand that being able to market yourself or create a “brand” is vitally important to creating a great reputation. And then again, your reputation helps create a great brand.
It’s extremely important to market yourself as an expert in the field. Why, because you want people to think of you first when it comes to whatever their needs are in the area you specialize in.
A brand represents who you are. It symbolizes what you stand for. It's a pillar of your success. But as we mentioned earlier, reputation is another pillar. If we can stress anything in these next few episodes, it would be to create a solid reputation within the industry you work in. If people think of you as a joke outside of work, why would they believe you’re the real deal at work? Or if you are an underachiever at work and then start a secondary business on your days off, why would anyone believe you are the go-to person at this new job when you can’t even do your primary job to satisfactory levels?
Reputation is everything. It’s not easy to build it, but it’s a must. When you do have a great reputation within your industry you must market yourself and create a brand to enhance your success. You want everyone to know you are the go-to person when they need help. But this doesn't happen overnight. It’s a constant grind to put yourself out there but it’s a must!

We than dive into how you can become a better leader or manager or both. Here's some of our tips on how to be better at the aforementioned items:**
Thanks and enjoy!
What a topic we have for you this week! Leaders vs managers is one of our favorite topics we've covered so far.
**Some people say leaders and mangers are the same. Some people say they are totally different and some people say they are intertwined. We believe the latter. There are some distinct differences between the two but we do believe they also share similarities that if used correctly, give you the best of both worlds.
For us it comes down to motivation, inspiration and influencers. A manager is great at completing projects and getting tasks done but a leader actually inspires people to achieve their best. Leaders are constantly motivating people and trying to get the best out of them while managers sit back and complete paperwork.
The best of the best are able to intertwine both responsibilities though. They are able to move companies forward by staying on point with projects all while making sure revenue is coming in but the best executives are also moving the company forward by leading and inspiring people to do more than what they were originally called to do.**
**Leaders look for what each person brings to the table and focuses on how they can make the team better. We all have strengths and weaknesses. Most people say we need to get better at our weaknesses but in those moments we are also taking time away from what we are best at. Leaders can identify the strengths of people and use them to a company or team's advantage. Once a leader has inspired that person to be better, a leader with managerial skills can now utilize that person to assist in completing projects, planning, organizing and more. The key though is to get that person to understand what they bring to table, be a part of the team and showcase what they can do. It’s all about inspiration!

When making decisions based on being passionate, here's some things to think about:**
Thanks and enjoy!
Passion is what drives us to pursue our goals and dreams, but it can also be a double-edged sword. When things get tough or obstacles arise, it can be easy to lose sight of our passion and become discouraged. This is where having a winning mindset comes into play.
**This week's topic is all about understanding the importance of your choices backed by the passions in your life. It's easy to pursue goals when you are passionate about them. On the other hand, it's much harder to achieve success when your passion about the choices you have to make in order to achieve that success are lacking.

**In today's episode we are focusing on how to gain more tenacity in your life. On Monday, we defined what tenacity is and why it's important, but for today, here are some good ways to increase your tenacity.
First, find your "why." This will give you a reason to keep going and be more tenacious in your life. If you don't have that motivating factor, it's hard to have tenacity. Secondly, write your goals down and then put them up in an area of your home you frequently travel to such as a bathroom. As an example, hang your goals up on your mirror that way you will see them every morning when you wake up. Last, get thicker skin. You're going to be told "no" a lot in your life. Don't let people stop you from achieving your dreams. Make that a motivating factor on how you gain more tenacity.
Other ways to increase tenacity are:**

**This week we are venturing into a new topic and some will say it's the brother of persistence, which is what we spoke on last week. The topic this week is tenacity. Tenacity is that "it" factor. When you are evaluating people and everyone has roughly the same skill, how do you pick and choose the best candidate? Tenacity is the answer. Who is going to go the extra mile? Who is going to take you to the next level? Skill is great but will and determination are even better.
Tenacity is said to take a company from good to great or better to best. If you want to have a winning mindset, you must add tenacity to your tool box.
As mentioned above, tenacity is an attribute that can mean the difference between failure and success, and can take a team from “doing all right” to “thriving”. You must learn to increase your tenacity and keep pushing when times get tough.

Count all the things that are going right. If you have too, write them down on a piece of paper. You’ll be shocked at how many good things you have going on in your life. So much of the time we focus on the negative things but if you counted the negative ones out, they would be minimal to all the positive things you have going on in your life.
Don’t shy away from hardships in life but embrace them. Everyone knows how difficult life can be and if you come at it with a positive attitude knowing that you’re probably going to fail, you’ll be able to get up quickly and try again.
Have fun in life. There are times for being serious but if you attack each day with this idea of making it fun and enjoyable, a positive attitude will follow.

This is the interview portion with our special guest Kevin Morgan, who is an amazing guest with an incredible story on how self-discipline helped him run 40 miles. Tune in to see how his story could help you as well!
Here’s some practical ways to do this:

· Secondly, once you recognize you need to give more time to something, take a step forward and actually give more to the task at hand. Don’t just think about it. Do something about it. Even just a few extra moments could make a difference between you succeeding and failing.
· Try and change your schedule up. Try waking up an hour earlier to be more productive. I believe you will find that doing that will make your day more productive and you will feel like you accomplished more on those days.
Here are some steps to help develop your discipline:
