In the face of adversity, what will flow out of you? Paul shares with the church of Philippi how life and death for the believer should not cause us to shrink back in shame. Instead, life and death for the believer gives us the best of both worlds.

Today we learned about building big faith and tapping into God's supernatural strength to accomplish His purposes. A key takeaway is that God often works with what we already have, rather than requiring something entirely new, and that faith involves using what we have and trusting God to do more. We are encouraged to start with what they have, be grateful for it, and trust God to multiply it, rather than waiting for something bigger or more dramatic to happen.

Paul's letter to the Philippians explores what it means to live "in Christ." It shows his deep affection for the Philippian church, highlighting the importance of spiritual authority, fellowship, and shared mission in spreading the Gospel. We see through God's good work in believers and the church, the importance of stewardship, love, and growing in knowledge and understanding of God is emphasized.

As we look further into the life of Elijah we learn how pivotal it is to be confident and bold in the face of darkness. This darkness messes with our personal lives--in our marriages, our kids, our health and more. We as the church are planted in the middle of a broken world to fight against this darkness victoriously.

This sermon reminds us that prayer should be our first response, not a last resort—it’s meant to be a regular part of our lives, not just something we turn to when we’re desperate. It also shows that we’re not meant to do life or faith alone—we need each other’s prayers, support, and honesty to grow and heal. Lastly, it challenges us to care deeply for those who have drifted away from God, and to do whatever it takes to help bring them back.

As we look at part of Elijah's story we see how brooks and ravens can show us reasons why God sometimes seem to pause or hide us in seasons. It becomes less about “having" faith and more about becoming a person "of" faith.

What do we do when the promise hasn’t arrived yet? When we’re trusting God but still wrestling with reality. James 5:7–11 gives us a blueprint for what to do in the meantime of our seasons — how to stay patient, how to stay grounded, and how to remember that God is not just watching us wait — He’s working in the waiting.

As we follow Jesus through the gospels we see that Jesus changed everything for many people--the leper, the thief on the cross, the Samaritan woman and many more. He still continues to change everything for us today through the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus' triumphal entry was a statement to the world of the coming King. When Christ came as our King, He did so in a way that was unexpected by the religious leaders of the time. Their example is a lesson for us today in how we should interact with our King.

Are we to be people who make plans? In James it shows the believer how we are to not go off of personal preference or worldly wisdom but acknowledge God in our plans. We have a great responsibility to always lean into obedience and walk with the Lord’s voice leading our path.

As God's people, we must engage with the world around us. We have the answer and antidote to what ails humanity, and our call is to share that truth with the people in our lives. It all starts with asking God to use us to do exactly that.

Tonight's study of James looks at how humility and pride affects the believer's life. We should live with a high sense of personal accountability, and we must proactively resist the enemy in these areas of our lives.

As we dive deeper into James, we see that our place is not to judge others. Loving others the way Jesus asks us to is our responsibility versus serving judgement.

What is the tithe? Is it Biblical? How should we respond to it? In today's sermon we dive deeper into our relationship with God and money. Generosity is key to Christian living, and this is how you can implement it in your life!

Think you know about giving and generosity from a Biblical perspective? Today's sermon may challenge some assumptions we have about giving as it pertains to the church. God has called us to be generous, and His principles in the word help us understand how to honor Him with our giving!

In James we discover how we can actively live our Godly wisdom with three things - choice, remaining consistent and relinquishing control. This helps us know that our character and our values are in alignment with Him.

The key to speaking life or death over those around you, whether family or in your community, is your identity in Christ. Our identity in Christ means that you become weapons and defenders for your home, your children, your family, your work space, for this church and for the house of God.

One of the greatest forces that God has given us is found in the tongue. This instrument is inconsistent, however it is also a point of possibility. May we utilize our tongue to be people of blessing and kingdom expansion.

Hear from the inspiring story of missionary Bobby Clayton and his family who dared to dream to reach the lost in Mongolia. It's about obedience and faith in response to the dreams God has called us too. It's about daring to dream.

There is one specific way that the world will know that we follow Christ, and that He is our Lord. It isn't how charitable we are, or how much money we give... It's in how we love one another that we show we are His disciples. Here's how!

This week we dove into Hebrews to look at the importance and benefits of gathering together. We gather so that we can stir one another out of stagnancy, so that we are provoked to action, so we are incited in our missions against darkness.

We must be careful in the church to not have favorites. In James chapter two, we are warned about offering favoritism to people. As a part of the church, we are called to a higher calling in how we treat people we interact with. We are part of the kingdom of God, and James shows us how to live our lives honoring God's heart.

The final part of the story of Isaiah culminates with a call to all people. It's the call each of us as Christians have from God each and every day. The Lord is looking for willing people. That when God asks, "Who will go?" we would answer, "send me!"

As we continue our Midweek series in James, we focus in on James 1:19-27. If we want to see spiritual victory, it starts with aligning our hearts fully with God. How do we get to a place where our hearts are aligned with God? Through transformed living. James shows us how!

In Isaiah this week we dive into recognizing that this is a time of humbling and repentance. Jesus is the coal, taken from the altar of sacrifice, that cleanses us of our sins. And, we will be a people with the posture of humility, contrition, tenderheartedness, and repentance because our God is Holy.

In Isaiah’s vision of heaven, he watches as strange, angelic beings proclaim a declaration to the Lord. Their response and song is an example of how we too should respond to God’s greatness, holiness, and glory.

In Isaiah's description of what he saw in Isaiah 6, he adds an interesting descriptor. He tells us about how the train of God's robe fills the temple. What was significant about this detail? The answer to that stirs our faith for our victorious our God is, and how we too can be victorious in Him!

Temptation is all around us. Where does it come from? How can we combat it? As we continue our series in James, we look at how temptation affects us, and how we can combat it effectively.

The prophet Isaiah had a profound encounter with God in Isaiah chapter 6. Within the first few words of his encounter is deep truth of who God is, and who He should be in our lives. Who is on the throne of your heart? Have you surrendered it to God? Learn how!

In Week 2 of our MIDWEEK series on the book of James, we look deeper into the next section of James 1. In these verses, the writer reminds us the importance of asking God for wisdom, and for having endurance through troubles. The end result? Triumph in the Lord.

David was about to face off against the Philistine army. In that moment, He seeks for favor from God for victory. What breakthrough and victory do you need in your life? The lessons from David's battle with the Philistines can help us know how to approach the battles in our lives, and how to find victory when we need it most!

This is the start of our Wednesday series diving deeper into the book of James. The opening of this book reminds us to have joy in every circumstance. Yet, when difficulty hits us, it's hard to find joy in the middle of a negative situation. We can truly discover joy in any trouble we face, but it takes applying the principles in James.

What can a blind man from the Gospels teach us about reaching out to Jesus for a miracle? More than you'd think. In the story of blind Bartimaeus, Jesus walks by a man calling out to him for help. Jesus' response to Bartimaeus sets the stage for us in our modern context to be positioned for miracles. What do you need? Jesus is listening!

As members of the body of Christ, we are also members of another kingdom: The Kingdom of God. Understanding the importance of being citizens of Heaven can help us navigate our society in healthy ways. It's more than being a Christian consumer, it's being missional together, united as the Church to share the Gospel with a world that desperately needs it.

In each of our hearts, God has placed big dreams. God-sized dreams. In the Bible, Joseph was also a person who had God-sized dreams, and his story showcasing God's faithfulness can encourage and inspire us today. We need to hold on to the dream God has given us, and trust Him in the process.

There is power in telling your story of what God has done in your life. We find this especially evident in Psalm 40. King David begins declaring all that God had done for him and praising and glorifying God. Everything changes in our life when we follow David's example and declare what God has done in our lives too.

There are demons and devils. In Ephesians 6 Paul reveals the layers of what believers face every day in the spiritual world. How we understand spiritual warfare from a biblical perspective is important to the Christian life to help us be effective and to stand strong.

There can be many times in the Christian walk that we don't "feel" God close to us. Yet, as confirmed in Psalm 139, God really is with us at all times. He sees every aspect of who we are. Whether or not you've doubted God's nearness, today's sermon will help you realize how close God actually is.

As we conclude our series Parables, we look at one of the most well known parables in the Gospels. It's the Parable of the Good Samaritan. As Jesus shares the story of a man beaten and left for dead, he teaches us about how we ought to treat people. It's more than a story about being a good neighbor though, it's also a story about Jesus himself!

Elisha and his students were about to eat, when they realized that their soup had been made with a poisonous gourd. The miracle that happens with the soup reveals God's providence in situations that seek to poison us.

If you knew there was treasure buried in a field, something so priceless you had to get it no matter the cost, how much would you give away to acquire it? The Kingdom of Heaven is similar, and two parables reveal the heart of Christ for His church. The question left for us in response to Christ... How could we not sell everything?

In Ephesians chapter 4 Paul writes to his readers to no longer live like the Gentiles. Similarly, we too can mirror the Gentiles in living according to our flesh, our old nature. Instead, Paul calls us to live according to our new nature in Christ. How do we do that? We look at what we are feeding.

Jesus taught in parables to relay deep truths about the Kingdom of God in simple and understandable ways. Today we'll look at two parables that remind us that God can take something small and use it to make lasting impact for His glory. It's all about the seed, and the yeast.

In Ephesians, Paul lays the groundwork for the church and highlights important roles gifted by God to help equip the church for effective ministry. The roles of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers, are integral to a healthy and thriving body of believers. In today's message we'll look at each office in depth and how it helps the body of Christ as a whole.

In the Parable of the Talent's, Jesus gives a depiction of the Kingdom of Heaven that reminds us the importance of stewardship. Of the three servants who were given talents, only one failed to do anything with what they were given. How can we avoid becoming like the one who didn't steward well? This is how!

Lost something? God has a way of restoring what we thought was lost, even if it would take a miracle to recover it. Take the story of a student of the prophet Elisha. While working he loses a precious axe head in the water and it sinks below the surface. What happens next teaches us about God's ability to recover what was lost.

The Parable of the Ten Bridesmaids paints an important picture for every believer in the body of Christ. The invitation and the warning from Jesus call us to reflect on our own lives. Some bridesmaids had oil, and other's didn't have enough. Jesus calls us to be people with oil.

Being in the family of God can bring with it different backgrounds, personalities, and experiences. The key to a healthy example of Christ in the church? Unity. Paul's discussion in Ephesians emphasizes the importances of being a people who are known by their unity together, and in Christ.

As we begin our series 'Parables,' we look at the one parable Jesus told that He said you needed to understand in order to understand the rest. Today's parable is all about the soil of the heart, and how it can either nourish or choke out the work of the Gospel in our lives.

As we continue in our midweek series on the book of Ephesians, we highlight a moment where Paul is overcome with emotion. He's so overcome that he falls to his knees to pray. His deep cry to the Ephesians out of that moment? That they know how much God loves them! He loves you too!

While we've been following the journey of the Israelites into the Promised Land we focus in on a story about Caleb. It was 45 years after entering the Promised Land, and Caleb lays claim to a mountain. Usually we refer to mountains in a negative context, but in this case it was a promise for Caleb. What has the Lord promised you? What dreams do you have? Today is a day for faith for the promises God has given you!

As we continue in our series Take the Land, we fast forward to Joshua's final words. When we learn to fear the Lord, and stand on His principles it sets us up for blessing. If you want the favor of the Lord in your life, then learn from Joshua's words and implement them in your life today!

There is one principle that is found in scripture that answers the question of how to be closer to God. This simple act can have a profound impact on our journey and relationship with God. A great example is that of the life of Joshua and a small portion of scripture that created a ripple effect of promise, providence, and miracles that accompanied his life.

Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. A cornerstone in biblical times was the main stone with which every other building stone was aligned. In the same way, we grow into alignment with our chief cornerstone, Jesus, and that alignment helps us become a dwelling place for His presence.

When Jesus is approached by a gentile woman for help, his response might shock us. He calls her a dog. Yet her faith and persistence to petition the Lord for a miracle causes Jesus to grant her request. What are you needing faith for? What crumbs do you need from the master's table?

The Children of Israel suffered a major defeat at the city of Ai. After the amazing miracle of the walls falling in Jericho, something within their camp lead to an unexpected defeat. Their lesson teaches us the power of hidden sin, but God's mercy through Christ also tells us the power of His love.

We were once dead in our sin, yet in Christ we were brought back to life! Not only did Christ resurrect us, but we were also seated with Him in heavenly realms. As we continue our midweek series in the book of Ephesians, we'll look at what it means to be seated with Christ, and what our response should be to that truth.

When Joshua lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, one of the first stops was Jericho. Their example shows us the power of consistent, faithful obedience. Sometimes the call to obedience doesn't make sense, but like the Old Testament story, it can lead to walls falling down.

In Ephesians chapter 1, Paul relays a prayer that he prays specifically for the church in Ephesus. This simple prayer has powerful implications when applied to our lives. The prayer was all about the believers growing in wisdom and revelation. How are these defined, and what does the prayer produce? That's what we talk about in this sermon from our Midweek service!

After returning from their mission to scope out the Promised Land, the twelve spies had differing reports. Ten of them said they couldn't overtake what God had promised, but two were defiant and stood in faith that God would see them through. Their lesson of faith reminds us today to rely on God in faith for His promises in our lives. Your journey into God's calling for your life is waiting on the other side of a step of faith.

As we continue in our journey through Paul's letter to the Ephesians, we discuss the importance of focusing on the 'Who' that binds us all together. We are a family, and though we have differences, we all share something in common that outweighs those differences. It's the power of the Holy Spirit that binds us together.

When David was established as King, he sought a way to honor his friendship with his deceased friend Jonathan. That's when he found Jonathan's son, Mephibosheth. King David invited Mephibosheth to dine at his table, and blessed him with the land given to his family. We too, like Mephibostheth, are invited to the table of the Lord, and there's room for everyone to dine with our King!

As we continue our Midweek series on Ephesians, we look at two verses in chapter one that teach us the importance of salvation. It is not something reserved for a special class chosen by God. It is available to whosoever would choose to follow Christ!

The church is more than a building. It's a body of believers on mission to build the Kingdom of God. Evangelism is a key component in the life of the believer, and it's more than a Sunday experience. Every moment at your work place, on your errands, or with family is a moment to share the Gospel. It's a moment to be a Kingdom Builder!

In the Gospel's there's a unique story of a man eager to catch a glimpse of Jesus. That man was Zacchaeus. His earnestness and pursuit can teach us in our walk with Christ. How hungry are we to catch a glimpse of Jesus? Are we as hungry as Zacchaeus?

As a church we are called to be Kingdom Builders, and a story in the Old Testament gives us insight into being a people who build the kingdom. A man named Naaman was overcome with leprosy and in desperate need of healing. Through the kindness of an enslaved maidservant, he's told about a prophet in Israel who can heal him. When we obey and scatter the seed of the Gospel, we too can help people encounter the kingdom of heaven in miraculous ways.

Paul's letter to the Ephesians, called by some the pinnacle of the Pauline epistles, is a letter that also applies to our modern day Church. This is a letter about going deeper in your faith, deeper into understanding God, and deeper into relationship with God. The first aspect of this journey with God? Understanding that you are spiritually blessed.

Sin is an awful aspect of the human experience, but in God's love and mercy He has provided us a way to live free from it. How? Through His word. You can live a free life, so consumed with His word and His presence that all temptation seems insignificant compared to knowing Him. The Lord cleanses us, we only have to be washed by The Word.

Elijah was one of the most notable prophets in the old testament. Even so, this man of God had a moment of deep despair. The example of his darkest moment highlights for us how God cares for us in ours. His love and mercy for us in our weakness helps set us on a path to be soul healthy.

The Israelites testing in the wilderness defined their experience leading up to the spies report about the promised land. They had all they needed, yet still grumbled against God. In our own testing seasons, we have the option of following in their footsteps or learning from their example. When you're in a wilderness season, this is how you can thrive.

The Bible is Spirit inspired & God-breathed. It judges the thoughts and attitudes of our heart. It is also the greatest way to know the heart of God. Growing deeper in our Christian faith is directly related to our biblical maturity. It's knowing the scriptures to be sweeter than honey and more desirable than gold.

The Children of Israel had to wander in the wilderness for years before entering the promised land. The lessons they learned in that time helped to equip them for their future promise. In our lives, their example helps us navigate the situations we face every day and it all comes down to following the cloud.

Prayer is one of the identifying markers of a person who is spiritually hungry. The practice and discipline of prayer can lead us to spiritual hunger. The key to prayer isn't what we gain from it, but rather WHO we gain.

Our past can be riddled with pain and struggle, especially struggle with sin. Even so, you can move forward, but it takes trust in God and His complete work on the cross. It takes crossing over the Jordan river in front of us. It takes getting our feet wet in faith.

To be a spiritually hungry people, it's not only about seeking after the Lord. It's about praising Him for who He is! Praise is a lens through which we see God, and it has profound impacts on our view of God. The key to spiritual hunger is praise!

When the Children of Israel crossed the Jordan in the book of Joshua, they stacked stones as a testament to God's miracle working power. What has God already done for you? How has He miraculously intervened? Remembering His goodness in your past is the key to crossing over to your future.

God is not looking for perfection, He is looking for pursuit. There is a promise in scripture that reminds us that when we seek God with our whole heart, we find Him. Being a spiritually hungry people means seeking God with all we have!

As we dive into some of Joshua's experiences leading to the Promised Land, we will discover some principles that will help us both individually and corporately to Cross Over into God's intended purposes for us.

When we become a blessing to others through our giving there are three key things that happen. Needs will be met and people's lives will be better. Those recipients will praise and give glory to God, which in turn means the earth gets better as it's filled with His praise. Lastly, you as a giver will be more bonded to His Church.

Welcome to the final devotional in our journey through 21 days of prayer and fasting. No matter how this fast has been, whether you were perfect, or if you encountered a few setbacks, these twenty-one days were still worship and honoring to the Lord. You've put in the time and now it's time to watch and see what the Lord does, never ceasing to continue in prayer and fasting. A widowed woman was in a funeral for her only son. Imagine the grief of losing another member of your family... but then Jesus sees her and has compassion on her. This story showcases the compassion and power of the Son of God. Jesus is the one who brings the dead back to life, and creates new things out of nothing. He did it for her, and he does it for us too!

As we conclude our series Hospitable, we come to the final portion of the story of the woman of Shunem. She's hosted the Prophet, been given a son, and then tragedy strikes. In the wake of Her tragedy we find principles to help us navigate our own pain. When we're under attack, when what has been promised seems to have died, God steps in and does the impossible.

As we continue our series Hospitable, we journey further into the story of the woman of Shunem. After creating a place to host the Prophet, He asks her, "What can I do for you?" Her hospitality lead to an encounter that would change her life forever. It can change yours too!

In the Old Testament there's a story from Jacob's life that's peculiar to say the least. After working for seven years to marry Laban's daughter Rachel, He instead ends up with her sister Leah. The full story of Jacob's marriage to Leah and then Rachel teaches us a valuable lesson about the process of patience in waiting for a promise.

In the first week of our series Hospitable, we take a look at an Old Testament story showcasing the importance of hosting the presence of the Lord. A woman's simple act of hosting a prophet teaches us how to prioritize Jesus over everything else.

Waiting... While not everyone's favorite pastime, it's an experience we all have. Even in our Christian walk we experience the 'wait.' We believe we've heard from God, but for some reason there's a period of waiting. The scriptures provide an example of exactly how to approach, and thrive, in seasons of waiting so that when the promise comes, we're ready.

As we conclude our series Encounters, we finish our deep dive into the story of Lazarus. In the aftermath of Lazarus' resurrection, Jesus and His disciples are at a dinner. During that dinner, Mary opened a jar of perfume and anointed Jesus' feet. Her willingness to humble herself in front of so many and to pour out something so expensive on Jesus inspires us to do the same.

King David is on the run when he receives a memento from his past that's he uses to help secure victory in the future. In the life of a believer, we too have mementos from our past that can help us keep faith for tomorrow. Mementos of God's faithfulness and love.

Jesus is standing at the tomb of Lazarus with onlookers from various backgrounds and with differing motives. In front of them all, Jesus showcases His power and glory by telling the people to remove the stone, and calling out to Lazarus. Despite doubts, the people operated in faith to remove the stone, and then helped their resurrected friend out of his graveclothes. We too can see lives impacted for Jesus, if we only operate in faith.

In the book of Leviticus, God gives specific instructions to the Children of Israel in regards to His presence and how the Priests were to handle the flame on the altar. This Old Testament account teaches us how we should keep the flame burning in our own lives. Don't let the fire go out!

When Jesus shows up on the scene a few days after the death of Lazarus, He finds His friends grieving. They're lament over Lazarus and even doubt and apparent frustration with Jesus caused Him to react in a way not seen. He wept. Even though Jesus knew how the story would end, that did not mean He was numb to the pain experienced by His friends.

In life we often go through the fire. We go through situations that are intense and stressful. In the Old Testament there's a story of three men who also, literally, went through fire. Their story of obedience in the face of intense consequences can teach us a valuable lesson on how we should operate when we face trials of our own.

The death of Lazarus was an important moment in Jesus' ministry and showcased His power and glory. Today, though, is all about the lead up to this historic moment. Jesus was entering a place that recently tried to stone Him, but because there were people who needed Him and were hospitable to Him, He disregarded the danger.

In life we have the option of accepting and submitting to the atmosphere of our home, work or business; or we can influence and change the atmosphere. We have to come to realize that changing and influencing atmosphere is a significant part of every believer’s assignment.

It's one of the most well known moments in the Gospel's. A woman, caught in the act of adultery is thrown before Jesus by the religious leaders. Everyone was ready to stone her, and trap Jesus in His words. In this moment Jesus teaches us multiple lessons all through His simple act of writing in the dirt. It shows us that there is a better way, and that way, is the Jesus way.

Jesus arrives on the scene 2,000 years ago to save the world from their sin, but His first miracle seems to indicate that it wasn't meant to be His first miracle. The story of Jesus turning the water into wine at the wedding in Cana is the first time His miraculous power is revealed. It also shows how our relationship with Him, is integral to His power working in our lives.

As we continue our series Encounters, we look at a powerful moment when Jesus was entering into His final moments before His crucifixion. There was an opportunity for Jesus to be freed by Pilate, but instead the crowd chose Barabbas. Jesus' encounter with Barabbas teaches the power of His grace and mercy.

Did you know that the Lord commands a blessing? If the Lord says that He commands a blessing in an area of our lives, then we would do well to come into alignment into that. The Lord blesses a people who operate in unity, focused on a single purpose. Cultivating unity in a Church body not only benefits the whole, but it also benefits you as a person. This is how!

The story of Jesus meeting the woman at the well is more than a chance encounter. Jesus was there to meet with her, and to reveal to her heart her need for living water. The lessons from her story directly apply to us today. Are you tired? Are you weary? You may need to hydrate on the living water of Christ.

Peter and his fishing buddies had spent all night fishing and caught nothing. Then Jesus shows up, borrows their boat to teach the crowds, and after He tells them to put back out into the sea. What happens next is a testament to what can happen when we operate in faith, even when what the Lord tells us doesn't make sense.

There a many stories in the Gospels of people who had life-changing encounters with Jesus. Some were full of faith, and some missed an opportunity to engage with the Messiah. Today we look at two stories that remind us the importance of faith. Jesus responds to faith, and He is passing by today. Reach out to Him!

Whether or not you realize it, God has spoken to you before. When you were called to follow Him and give your life to Him, that was God calling. The Lord is speaking, but sometimes it's hard to discern what His voice sounds like. If you want to know how to hear His voice, these are practical steps to take to hear the voice of the Lord in your life today.

When Ezekiel is shown the prophetic vision of the valley of dry bones, God calls him to prophesy over them, to bring them to life. Similarly, we have been authorized, by Jesus, to look at dry, scattered bones and tell them what the Lord is going to do to them! Can these bones live? We say YES!

You have one shot at this thing called life. It's rocky at times, but there is a guide waiting for you ready to climb life with you. Our guide is Jesus, and He is here ready to climb with you. Then one day, with Christ, you'll get to the top of the mountain and see the view.

Words shape our attitude, our altitude, and the surrounding atmosphere. They also tell us what is really inside us if we listen close enough. From our hearts come our words, and what we speak over our lives, and into our world, showcases where are heart is. It's either in alignment with God, or it's not. Let's bring our words into alignment today!

One thing could change your perspective, your outcomes, and your life. That one thing is what Mary understood, and that her sister Martha didn't, when Jesus visited their home. This quick story in the Gospel's can teach us a lot about priorities, and what deserves our primary attention.

There is a calling on the life of every Christ follower, and that's to be Kingdom Builders. We are called to go into the world, to share the Gospel of Christ, and to live on mission for Him. Who will go? Who will spread the Gospel? Let it be said that we were people who answered the call!

When what you've been praying for doesn't seem like it's happening, it can be easy to lose heart. The story of Hannah in the Bible is a story of persistent prayer, faithfulness, and honesty with God. Despite the odds being against her, God heard her prayer. He can hear yours too.

When Jesus said, "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also," He was stating something bigger than we realize. The lesson from this section of Jesus' sermon showcase for us the importance of generosity, and how it impacts our walk with the Lord. Money can easily become an idol in our heart. This is how to combat that.

In a world that seems focused on gathering attention rather than earning a reputation, it can be easy to lose sight of how important a good reputation is. Yet, this isn't about your status on earth with man, but rather your reputation with God. There is one key that can help... Faith.

These are names given by God about our savior, and the depth and meaning behind each name adds to the beauty of the Christmas story.
