Exegesis has Consequences. An example of this principle is found in 2Peter 3:9. Pronouns must agree with their antecedent noun in gender, number, etc. The Antecedent noun for the 'you' in 2Peter 3:9 is found in 1Peter 1:1-3 and 2Peter 1:1. Peter is addressing God's Elect people who feared that the Day of The Lord had already come and they had been left behind. God assures them tht none of his Elect will ever be lost.
The church was silent when Prayer was removed from Schools, Abortion was approved by the Supreme Court, and 'Homo-sexual Marriage' Now their voice is either mocked or ignored.
