Geoff recaps the Eagles 25-20 win in their season opening game vs the New England Patriots. Lots to talk about in this one as the Eagles were very sloppy offensively and defensively. Player of the Game was Jake Elliott. Critical bad decisions by Head Coach Sirianni. Bad offensive play calling by Brian Johnson as they both need to do a much better job. Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders and the best offensive line in the NFL run all over the Green Bay Packers as the Eagles win 40-33 on Sunday Night Football to go to 10-1 on the season. Hurts breaks the Eagles record for most rushing yards in a game. Miles Sanders has a career night running the ball. Jason Kelce & Lane Johnson are incredible to watch do their thing. Reed Blankenship comes in for CJ and impresses. Some concerns on defense (notably Gannon) and we must fix our special teams ASAP. Eagles beat the Houston Texans 29-17 on the road in a short week to remain the NFL's only unbeaten team at 8-0. Hurts, Goedert, Sanders, Brown all play well for the Eagles on offense. Defensively while the Eagles did have 2 more interceptions, there are some concerns with bad tackling. Forgot to mention during the podcast but Hargrove had a huge game w/ 3 sacks! Eagles crush their cross town rival Steelers 35-13 at the Linc as Jalen Hurts throws 4 touchdown passes in a commanding victory. AJ Brown with 3 TD's and over 150 yards receiving. Defense with 6 sacks in probably the most complete win of the season. Eagles will now take their 7-0 unbeaten record on the road to Houston for an early Thursday Night game. Rookie standout DT Jordan Davis did leave with what appears to be a significant lower leg injury. MRI to determine severity, but it is likely he will miss some significant time. Cooper Rush who previously was 4-0 and had not thrown an interception, threw 3 of them Sunday night as the Eagles created the turnovers and capitalized to a 20-0 lead at one point and had a critical drive in the 4th quarter to hold onto the win.
