The interview with Payon is about Numinus latest Q4 earnings. Some of the highlights from the earnings were a 202% increase in client appointments, meaning people scheduling appointments at the ketamine clinics within the State of Utah. Over 17,000 client appointments were made in their Q4 earnings.
We also touch on how the Q4 earnings were their first earnings report since they acquired a psychedelic company in the space called Novamind back in June 2022. The main reason they acquired Novamind was for their clinical model and footprint in the state of Utah and Arizona.
We also touched on the roadmap for their pathway to profitability. Payton outlines that with their current research partnership with the mental research institutions MAPS located in California, MDMA will be legalized within 12 months. Right now Numinus is generating lots of revenue but currently is not profitable, which is expected this early in the game.

In this segment, Co-Founding President of Pelorus Equity Group, Rob Sechrist, explains in detail, The Pelorus Fund, a dedicated commercial real estate lender structured as a private mortgage REIT with monthly distributions and a target annualized yield of 12% - 15% IRR.

Regarding the latter, the news flow dominating the market continues to be whether the SAFE Banking Act—which sponsors attached to a mainline bill called the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)—will be included as an amendment in the NDAA. Either way, this question will be a defining regulatory moment in industry’s history and likely decide the trajectory of the price action in AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF (MSOS) in the short term.
Annual ratification of the NDAA before calendar year end is automatic, having passed each year for the past fifty. So, a decision on SAFE Banking amendment inclusion into the NDAA can be considered an imminent event—although there are rumbling it may not get ratified until next year.

It’s a tricky investing environment, with AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF (MSOS) still searching for bottom to stem the non-stop hemorrhaging that has taken place in 2021. The plurality of market watchers expect a rebound and sentiment remains high, but the headwinds of slower quarter-over-quarter growth and an uncertain regulatory environment remain. This is countered by the fact that Tier-1 MSOS remain very cheap according to growth valuation metrics, and its longer-term prospects look outstanding.

It had been a long descent lower for AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF (MSOS), but this week’s news provided something for investors to rally around. After losing about a quarter of its value in the weeks since Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer introduced his comprehensive Cannabis Administration & Opportunity Act (CAOA)—which many considered to be too ambitious to receive sanction from Senate lawmakers—cannabis reform could be getting back to basics. With the House voting to attach SAFE Banking provisions as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), SAFE has a chance of becoming law before the year is out.

House lawmakers introduced a series of drug policy-related amendments to defense legislation, which also included psychedelics for active duty military personnel. If SAFE Banking is adopted as an amendment to the NDAA, SAFE would pass sooner than almost everyone expected.
While everyone was looking at the front door at Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s more encompassing Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act (CAOA) legislation, everyone took there eye off the back door—where non-related legislation often get added to core Bills. We shall know early this week whether SAFE Banking makes the final cut.

Now down 41.89% on weekly closing basis since the second week in February, the long descent down has been brutal. Despite a solid earnings season, continued strong fundamentals and persistent M&A action (both public and private) dotting the landscape, price has continually suffered. To exemplify the counter-intuitive nature of the decline, we highlight how strong sequential sales have performed over the past six quarters (ex-Canopy Growth).
In many cases, growth is growing triple-digits year-over-year and many Tier-1/2 multi-state operators are EBITDA positive.
However, fundamentals have taken a back seat to other factors in recent times, as we discuss in further detail. We also discuss the three most likely scenarios that could bring about a near-term bottom. Building base support is the likely first step needed towards changing the overall trend.
