Trophy stripers have officially arrived in New England waters, pictured above is Lauren Salvioli with a 56-pound beast she and fiancé, Max Finch trolled up last week in western Long Island Sound. At the same time, stripers to 45 pounds have been reported in Narragansett Bay and a rumored 53-inch striper was landed in the Canal. Weakfish catches have also seen a strong spike throughout Connecticut and into Rhode Island and fluking is firing up now out at Block Island. Spring fishing is on full blast, get out there and take advantage of all the great angling opportunities we have here in New England.
