Each year Southern Housing Group chooses a selection of charities that we want to support for the course of that year. The third charity we are supporting this year is The Lucy Faithfull Foundation who work to prevent sexual abuse from happening in the first place - and to prevent it from happening again if it already has. Our host Daryl caught up with Donald from the foundation to find out a bit more about them and the fantastic work they do.

With Pride Month coming to a close, Daryl caught up with Jo Bhandal from AKT, the LGBTQ+ homeless charity, to look at what they do, the impact of COVID-19 on their work and the importance of celebrating Pride.

In the final episode of our series on domestic abuse, Daryl is joined by Brea Attrill, Safeguarding Officer at Southern Housing Group. Following on from the previous episode where we heard Gurvinder’s story, Amy Fox from Penningtons joins the show once again to discuss what can be done about forced marriage from a legal standpoint of view with Graham and Brea.

Then in the second half of the show, Brea catches up with Saranya from the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) to discuss the work they do in the housing sector and to take a closer look at the DAHA accreditation.

In episode three, Daryl is joined by Brea Attrill, Safeguarding Officer at Southern Housing Group to take a look at domestic abuse and tenancy.

We hear from Kelly, a Home Services Manager who shares a case study on a case that she has worked on here at the Group and how she worked with the relevant services to bring about a positive solution for one of our residents.
