  • Brickitect: Loved this episode! Glad things are going well for you. You did a great job describing the golf course sunset and drink experience that I felt like I was there with you. I am there with you on being an introvert and agree that growth comes from being uncomfortable. That soccer equipment story reminded me of the time we took Clark to tee ball practice without any shoes..at all. He just hopped in the truck and we got there and he was barefoot. He still practiced lol. I’ve been contemplating Marvel Unlimited and I think you sold me on it. You also sold me on Minecraft Legends last week. We might need to get you some affiliate links for all these things hahaha. Have a great week buddy. Thanks for the episode.
  • Kelly: RONNIE!!!! I’m very angry with you!! You promised not to sell anymore!!!!!! I love that Aaron’s idea of life played into your question of the day. It was neat.

Brickitect: I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the honesty and realness of this episode. My heart broke for you when you mentioned being lonely. Just remember how much you have going for yourself and how many people are in your corner both in the real world and online. You’re going to win. I’m sure of that.

Mark B: Hey Ronnie , it’s hard to talk about how you’re feeling sometimes, especially for a man , I’m glad this episode ended with a positive vibe , loneliness can eat you up , I’m sure life has dealt some tough blows , but you never know what the future brings and you are in control of that direction. Sending positive thoughts from over the water👍🏻

Emile: Filmmaking. I've been obsessed with it since I was a kid. I'm 36 and I still obsess over it, so I guess it's not just a phase.

Carter: What are your thoughts on the HBO Harry Potter series? I could not care less especially considering John Williams fantastic score wont be present. On top of that there are just too many characters that have grown to become ICONIC due to the actors behind (Snape, Dumbledore, Hagrid, Mcgonagall) ...NEARLY EVERY MAJOR CHARACTER is at this point in time...too iconic to justify a more book accurate reboot. This is the type of book adaptation that needs to be EXACTLY like the book and NOTHING like the movies which seems like an impossible task.

Kelly: Ronnie, breaking my heart one Harry Potter set at a time. 😭

Listener Feedback - What is a fun experience that you have had recently?

Carter (congrats on over 600 subs!): A fun experience I had recently has been exploring more of Atlanta with Daviana and trying tons of new food!

I would say maybe check out my review of Avatar 2 and decide if you want to finish it. I saw it in theaters and it was quite forgettable to be honest.

Also have definitely felt the same way about Lego as of recent. I LOVE minifigures and will probably never stop collecting them but as for all the Star Wars and Harry Potter play sets you eventually just have enough. I hate the idea of having sets not on display or in use when I know there are diehard fans out there that would appreciate certain sets more than I will.

Journal of the Scotts (congrats on over 350 subs!): Agree on the Star Wars content, but last week Bad Batch and Mando 3 episodes were probably best in a long time.

What is something you are excited about that you recently discovered?

Emile: Ironically, it was streaming on YouTube. The last time I did a stream was in November, and I got busy with a movie project, so my streaming endeavors fell by the wayside, somewhat. I enjoyed it so much that I feel I don’t want as much time to go by before I stream again.

Minimal Brick: I've recently discovered that my lego content on my YouTube channel is kinda what the people want. I'm enjoying the comments I get about all my lego mocs and it makes me want to keep building. Seriously considering changing the channel name to something with dag gum brick in it. Kelly: My favorite thing about her is her sense of humor. She is a spitfire and can spout off a sarcastic remark at the snap of a finger. I’ve always admired her for that. I’ve never possessed that quality.

Aidan H: The family member I’m choosing for this question is my Pap. He’s super accountable, and is always early or on time for everything. I’m the same way, while everyone else in our family is usually late for everything haha.

What is something you do differently than most people?

Richard: One thing that I do definitely then everyone else is, I fight imaginary bad guys when I’m excited about something lol. It cracks my son up and he starts doing it too it’s awesome.

Carter: I guess something I do differently might be kinda fun or funny to witness...but when I'm getting ready for the day or for an event or really just any time I go somewhere I hype myself up with weird noises(woop woop, shooby dooby, alright alright alright) I can't describe it but may record it sometime...the only negative from that is people will think its fake but its genuinely just me hyping myself up for the day or even work.

Brickitect: I watched my brother in law push my nephews into sports they didn’t want to play and ultimately they ended up sticking with them and enjoying them. We went a different route with Clarkman. He did tee ball and soccer and wasn’t really interested or gifted in either sport. Some people have gifts in other areas outside of hitting balls and running places. I say give it a season or two and if you’re little dude isn’t loving it, let him follow other passions.

What is an issue not enough people are talking about

Michael A: I'm going to get a little personal but I think what a lot of people in the real world and outside the news are not talking about enough is the hate the LGBTQ+ community is facing right now. Books relating to LGBTQ+ issues being banned in schools, trans kids being attacked, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. I can't even tell you how many times I get called a groomer on the daily on social media simply for existing and living my life as an openly gay man.

Most days I can ignore it but sometimes it really drags on my mental health and I need to log off. I should be allowed to simply exist without being told I'm harming kids...

Sorry if I brought down the mood.

What is an issue that you think not enough people are talking about?

Make $750 Per Day - "We become what we think about most of the time, and that's the strangest secret." _Earl Nightingale

Journal of the Scotts: The news shapes us. And agree on the weapons, it's insane we don't crazy regulate weapons. It's unnecessary and the commentary to defend it generally isn't strong. One thing I'm shocked people don't talk more about is how we forget about what is going on in the world. The news is shaping this as well. Ukraine is a bigger deal that we'll ever know in our lifetime. Think the same attitude about the right to bear arms is going to be the thorn in the US side and World (ok to have nukes) for a while.

Best/Worst/Funniest job

Kelly: The worst job I ever had was when I worked for the law firm. I loved everyone there but one specific attorney. This attorney made EVERYONE miserable!! My best job is my current job when things are calm 😂

Emile: My best job is properly the one I currently have. I get to help business owners find success online through their websites, and seeing that success always brings a smile to my face.

The worst job I had was at a very famous record store chain in the mid-2000s. I was in college back then so I needed some money. It was a stress-inducing job where the managers just sucked. I left several months after I started because the owner of that particular store gave me an ultimatum when I couldn't make an inventory day - they closed the store for a day to count and unpack the inventory. She said, verbatim, that I had to make a choice between college and my job. I naturally chose college, and it was a good choice because that whole chain of stores went bankrupt and closed up shop about 5 years later.

The funniest job I had was when I worked at a liquor store just after college. A guy I knew bought this place and he needed someone to help out, so I volunteered. It didn't pay well, but I used that money to hold me over when I started freelancing. It was situated in a really bad part of the city where I grew up, but I met some really cool, truly genuine people when I worked there. Also, we laughed a lot and it didn't really feel like a "job" either, if the makes sense.

Carter: Im lucky enough to say that I really dont have a "worst" job. I guess physically the tree work was grueling but I worked with an extremely nice, efficient, and safe crew. Best job ive had has to be any professional film job I've had. Every experience has been a learning experience no matter what job ive had though. For instance... im doing night shifts at a hotel in order to get film production work during the day...yes my sleep is messed up but I now have some wild hotel stories to incorporate into film as well just the fact that this job allows me to do what i love when im not working. I heard my dad once say that "if you cant get paid to do what you love in the moment, do something that allows you to pursue your love outside of work." This hotel job is doing exactly that for me.

Listener Feedback - what is one personality trait that you admire in others?

Brickitect: After a week of listening, I’m finally caught up and now I can answer the question of the week! I admire people that are goal driven. It’s so frustrating to want something for someone more than they want it for themselves. If you want it, you need to make it happen. We’re all going to witness this on Ronnie Resells this year. Put the time and effort in and the success will follow just like all your goals in 2022. We all believe in you!

Carter: A personality trait I admire in others is selflessness and being more compassionate to those around me.

Pearl was written while Ti West (Director) and the cast and crew were quarantining in preparation for shooting X. Ti asked Mia Goth if she would be up for a prequel film while they were all down there and so he started writing and it was done in 2 weeks. The final film MaXXXine is coming out hopefully this year.

Emile: The personality trait I admire most in other people is confidence. I've had moments in life where confidence failed me, and I've always respected any man or woman who possesses a near infinite well of confidence from which they can tap into. Although, being older, I'm sure we all have moments where confidence has let us down, no matter how much confidence each of us has.

Aidan H: A personality trait I admire most in others is the way some people can be so laid back. I am SUPER calculated with everything I do, I envy those who can just "go with the flow."

Unfortunately, my Steelers did not make the playoffs, but that means less heart attacks over the next few weeks 🤷‍♂

Listener Feedback - Resolutions and what was happening the last time you laughed so hard that you cried?

Carter: 2023 Resolution is just simply work on some film productions and it’s already begun! Have my first big budget film job as a Production Assistant in a few weeks. I couldn’t be more excited to shadow some really successful filmmakers. As for the last time I laughed so hard I cried it was watching the film Brian and Charles with Daviana. We both absolutely loved the humor and we’re dying through the entire runtime. Happy New Years!

Kelly: The last time I laughed until I cried was during a FaceTime with my 10 year old. She received a new iPhone for Christmas and had learned how to make many different Animojis. As she was going through them showing me each one, she showed me the one she made of her uncle max. This Animoji was spot on and looked exactly like Max. The way she was talking, things she was saying and facial expressions had me doubled over. This kid’s personality is definitely my favorite. I hope she never loses her personality.

Listener Feedback: What is one of your greatest motivators in life?

Slippery Bricks: I certainly agree with you having to receive words of aspirations. Especially from the ones who are superior to you or you look towards as a role model. It just makes your day and motivates to continue working on the challenges ahead of you.

I'm certainly the type of person who keeps watching the same things over and over again. So I fall behind on new shows and movies. But if you were to ask me the all-time desert island movie I'll bring, I have to say the Delta Force starring Chuck Norris. I loved that movie since I was a kid and still love it today with all of the non-stop great action scenes and the infamous background music. Believe when I say every time that music comes on, it gets your adrenaline pumping.

Emile: So, I may be going a little deep here.

My greatest motivator in life comes from the things that inspire me. It might be something that you or Greg might say in one of your podcasts, or it might be a scene from a movie that motivates me, or a song I hear. That singular word or moment is all the motivation I need to go forth and kick butt.

Aidan H: One of my greatest motivators in life is building and maintaining relationships with people I care about. Without family and friends, this world can become very isolated, so it is a goal of mine to always take care of my people!

Favorite show of 2022: Stranger Things 4

Favorite movie of 2022: The Batman

Kelly: Ok I have figured it out. My biggest motivator is probably going to be my fear of disappointing or letting people down. It drives most aspects of my life.

There you go.

House of dragon or Witcher would be my top shows, I can’t decide.

Fortnite is my favorite, but only because you guys make it fun… aside from the boogie bombs 😑

Movies of the year would be Guardians of the galaxy.

Listener Feedback - what is something you strongly believe in?

Kelly: “It is always better to be the one who smiles and waves than to be the one who doesn’t. You never know who’s day you can turn around just by letting them known they’ve been seen. After hearing this as a child I’ve spent my life trying to make sure every person I pass feels seen. 😊

Aidan H: A quote that I have lived by for the past few years is that “life does not get easier, you just get stronger.” Adversity can strike at any time, it’s how we respond to it that truly matters!

Richard: Hard work and a good attitude will one day pay off. I know it can be hard sometimes to have that mindset, but I do truly believe it. I put 10 years into my current job and finally after being passed on multiple times for leadership roles. I finally got my time and I’m gaining so much experience on how to lead people and handle certain situations. It’s hard work and a headache sometimes, but I like the challenge.

Listener Feedback

What part of yourself would you like to improve?

Slippery Bricks: One thing I like to improve about myself is to not procrastinate. Or not so much at least. It doesn't feel right to not get things done immediately and you have more things coming. I have all these personal projects I like to get done in my head and wound up forgetting about them. This doesn't happen at work, fortunately. When a task comes, it gets done almost immediately to prevent more tasks coming later on to stress me out. I'm improving by starting to write a to-do list and crossing them out as I go. Not at the pace I want but hopefully I'll get better at it.

Kelly: I find it very interesting that we both chose getting over things and moving on from them. It’s my biggest struggle. We are two peas in a pod. 🤣

Richard: I really need to work on my attitude I see the effects it has on certain situations. I feel like I have been doing a better job with it lately. But I do notice if we’re doing like a family thing, and there is a lot going on at once I tend to get overwhelmed and I become a Debby downer. And I don’t want to be that guy.

Carter: I need to work on consistency within posting, writing, eating healthier and working out

Song of the week:

“In Absence of Identity” By XLHC

Listener Feedback - What is one moment in time you will never forget?

Carter: I will never forget reading the email telling me that I got cast in a nation wide Verizon commercial! That moment was proof to me that I needed to pursue a film career in any way.

Richard: I will never forget finally being able to take my son Noah home from the NICU. Seeing the smile on my wife’s face in the back seat was so wonderful.

Kelly: Moments in time I’ll never forget…

• roasting marshmallows, I liked them burnt. So when they would catch fire I’d blow them out and eat the top layer and then repeat. This particular day I decided to wave the flaming marshmallow in the air to put it out and the marshmallow came off the stick and landed on my nose. That was the most painful experience of my life.

• The day I could have became a statistic… when I was maybe 6, we were leaving to go to my big sisters softball game. While heading out my mom sent me to my room to get different shoes. When I finally came out of my closet with a different pair of shoes I noticed my mom and all the rest of the kids were gone. This was the first time I’d ever been left alone. I was absolutely terrified and ran outside crying looking for moms van and a neighbor that I’d never met before was coming home. He pulled over, got out and checked to see if I was ok. I explained to him that my mom forgot me and we jumped into his car. As I was explaining to him how to get to the ball fields we saw my mom fly by. The stranger flipped around and followed her back to the house, thankfully 😬 I still to this day remind my mother of this day. It kills her. Ps in her defense she had 9 kids with her that day so I understand her confusion thinking everyone was in the van.

Intro Song: Dirty White Vans by Kenny Hoopla

Listener Feedback How well would you get along with your clone?

Emile: That's a good question. I know for a fact that I'd get impatient with my clone, but then again, I'd be able to get things done in double the time. It would be one of those love/hate relationships.

Kelly: I do not believe it would be a good idea to clone me. We don’t need two Kelly’s losing everything. I can’t imagine that being anything but a hot mess lol

Richard: We wouldn’t get along at all. Seeing a clone of myself would freak me out to much. I would have to take him out ASAP. Lol

Journal of the Scotts: Would my clone invite me to hang out? haha cause that would need to happen. I'd hang out, have a great time, and then neither would go out of their way to invite back. Story would end there.

Music: “The Sun Is Dim” by Coast to Coast

Listener Feedback - what is a talent or skill you have always wanted?

Emile Nightshade: When I was a kid, I always wanted to draw comic books. The art styles and the layouts always fascinated me and I would try to redraw and replicate them when I was younger. Mind you, I was never really good at drawing, but I would spend hours on a Saturday drawing and coloring.

Richard Mincey: As a kid who grow up shooting the bow, and watching lord of the rings. I have always wanted to be able to never miss my target. Wether it’s shooting bow, throwing rocks or shooting hoops.

Kelly Daniels: We already discussed mine. Playing guitar… and now you are stuck with teaching me.

Carter Allen: Talent or skill I’ve always wanted was to be good at basketball…I’m 5’5 so hint…I’m not very good 😂 can get myself some pretty deep threes from time to time but that’s about it

Listener Feedback - what is life teaching you right now?

Richard Mincey - Life is teaching me friggin patience. Which I’m not a fan of unfortunately. But I do see the positives of it. Being more patient with my son let’s me better understand him, and improve our relationship. So instead of getting on to him about the little things. I’m more understanding of why he’s acting out and can better handle the situation.

Brickitect: Your business deal with the thrift store is a tricky one. I think your offer is very fair considering you will be doing all the work and the fact that all they did was receive the donation. I would list/sell a few items and document all the time you spend to determine if it is worth it. You could also take the “teach the man how to fish” route and have them give you the 50% off teach them how to list on eBay. That’s a win for everyone. Although your finds there might dry up pretty quickly once they put it all online.

Emile Nightshade: I have one specific goal that I've always thought to be just out of reach, and through hard work and perseverance, I’ll only be able to achieve said goal at a point in time that’s beyond my control. The last two weeks have taught me that there's no time like the present to get things moving in whatever direction you want your life to flow towards. The power to influence the fate of our own success in life lies in our own hands, which is a notion I find extremely empowering.

Kelly: Everything in life has set you for the path you are on therefore they are all wins. Without Emily you wouldn’t have Beckett. We wouldn’t be friends without you being a Principal. Your hardships shaped you into you. With that said, life has been teaching me to accept where life has taken me. Through all the ups, the downs and even the off road courses, I’m in a good place. You are too. Everything will turn out as it’s supposed to so there is no point in worrying about it.

Kelly: I’m going to have to say thunder, the most beautiful, sound is thunder. Especially on a day I can stay home and do nothing but lay around and listen to it.

Michael A: For me I love the sound of a tennis ball being bounced on a court.

Richard: You wanna know the most beautiful sound in the world. It’s when your main sewage line gets clogged. And after hours of trying to unclog it you finally here this loud suckage sound. And all the poop water goes away. That my friends is the sound of saving 400 dollars lol.

Listener Feedback What is the most meaningful affirmation I've ever received

Aidan H: I don’t have any specific positive affirmation that is the most meaningful to me, but I can definitely relate to holding certain people’s feedback higher than others. Back in elementary and high school we were spoon fed positive feedback but now in college it feels more rewarding getting a kudos from professors and faculty because the workload is so much more demanding.

Richard Mincey: For me it was when I was coming in super early and staying late at my job. So that we could get caught up in receiving. My manger told me he really appreciated me for the time I sacrificed for the company, and that he liked my hard work. And it kept every body from having to come in on Saturday. So my team was very thankful. Now let’s talk about dominos. Next time order a pan pizza with Alfredo sauce, bacon, and mushrooms.

From Emily: In this week’s edition of how our son has scarred me for life…..

Last night I was helping him wipe his butt before he took a shower. He normally takes a bath (which is in a different bathroom) so I didn’t have wipes in there…..so I was just using toilet paper. For some weird reason, he clenched his butt cheeks and ripped the toilet paper out of my hand…….so there was pieces stuck in his buttcrack. I told him to get it out, but he was laughing too hard. So I tried to pull some of the pieces out…….and then all of the sudden he yelled “Mom why did you put your hand in my butt???????”

So then I was trying to explain that it was not IN his butt……I was trying to pull stuff out of his buttCRACK.

Aidan: People are most surprised about my music choice as well. I am a huge Machine Gun Kelly fan, but I also jam out to Harry Styles (weird combo I know haha).

Richard: Yeah people are shocked when I tell them I had to, give myself self a pep talk before going to a event. I’m always awkward at first but once I get comfortable. I become the funny awesome guy that has a good time.

Emile: People are mostly surprised to learn that English isn't my first language, since I do not have a heavy accent like most South Africans do.

Journal of the Scotts: Yea, I surprise folks when I tell them I have introverted tendencies. Im not as high on the spectrum and fake it pretty well these days😀 but my mom is outgoing nurturer and my dad is clear white. So I ended up as a nice mix.

Carter: Not to blow smoke up my ass but I’ve always been told I’m good with kids and I feel like it comes off as surprising to people but I don’t know why

Kelly: People are often surprised to find out that I hate country music 💁🏻‍♀️ no one ever expects punk or rock. They always expect me to BE country and I don’t consider myself anything. I’m well rounded, I guess.

Slippery Bricks: You forgot me buddy! But nah it's fine I'm usually the kind that lurks on the side and unnoticeable. I'm the supporting role in a movie than the main character which I prefer. That makes me believe I'm white. Only one way to find out. Keep you posted. Introverts unite!

Kelly: Indian food, hands down. Still can’t say if I like it. I just don’t enjoy my entrée tasting sweet.

Emile: Although I don't have a strange food story, but my wife does.

When she was working as a night-shift manager at a restaurant, a friend encouraged her to try walkie talkies. Now, you might think I'm referring to a two-way radio. Sadly, no.

Walkie talkies in South Africa refer to the head and feet of a chicken that's cooked in a variety of ways and eaten either on their own or as a side dish. Not everybody eats this (I haven't, and I never will), but, after trying this, my wife became a vegetarian.

Carter: It’s not even that bizarre but Plantains…I HATE PLANTAINS! I’ve also tried frog legs which were good, alligator was good, bison burger was bomb! Would never try Rocky Mountain Oysters…no thanks!

Emile: For me, one of the most crucial ingredients for true happiness is to love yourself unconditionally, warts and all. I struggled with this as a kid growing up, but I learned to accept myself for who I am, and I'm happier for it. There are other things in life that's essential to true happiness, but loving yourself tops my list.

Carter: One crucial ingredient for happiness is being able to be alone with yourself. Its good to be social but its important you can be comfortable with your own thoughts and thats something ive really come to terms with since college.

Emile: Also, the thing that amazes me is the internet. Disregarding all the negativity you can find on it (I’m looking at you,Twitter), it’s brought the world closer together, enabling us to make more meaningful connections no matter where we are in the world. I find that truly amazing.

Brickitect: The thing that amazes me are the images from the James Webb space telescope. To feel so important but then to be able to see that you are less than even a speck from a little dot of light among an uncountable number of dots of light is really something to take in. To think about all the other potential earth-like planets is also amazing as is the distance that separates us.

Richard: Something that amazes me is definitely my boy Noah. The dude is wild and loves to have a good time. The 2nd thing that amazes me are fish. I’m convinced they are aliens. By the way has Beckett watched the YouTube channel North Of The Border? If not he would love it.

Emile Nightshade - Here's a list of things that aren't in any particular order:

  • Have 100 videos on my gaming channel (I'm on 41 already)

  • Add at least 10 new movie trailer reactions

  • Start a YT channel for work, and make at least 3 videos for that.

  • Shoot, edit, and release another short film.

Carter - As for things that I would like to get done before the year ends the big obvious one is to move out and after that it would be to hit 500 subs on my YouTube channel but we’ve got a ways to go. Also I feel like an outlier because I walked out of Elvis due to massive headache. I was not a fan of the editing/ super quick fast pacing

Brickitect - I would like to get organized and sell the items that I no longer use.   I would also like to get down to my ideal weight.  I feel like I can accomplish all of this, it just needs to be a priority in my life.

Listener Feedback: What Is One Thing You Want to Accomplish In Life?

Emile Nightshade: Going back to filmmaking, my biggest goal that I would like to accomplish is to make one very specific feature-length movie. I've been writing it for the last 5 years to get the story just right (it's almost there), but the day I get to make it, I will be happy. I may make more movies as time goes on, but I'm itching to tell this specific story above all else.

Carter Scottland Allen: I tried thinking of things that I'd like to accomplish in my life and there are plenty of career desires but I'd like to just always get better at being a good person, helping others, being a better boyfriend, sibling, son etc. As for a crazy idea for something I'd like to do many many years from now...Daviana and i both want to open an animal sanctuary...I specifically want tons of cows!

Kelly: Who I raise is my biggest goal to accomplish. It is what I care about most. I try my best to make sure they are good, happy, healthy, well mannered, and productive members of society… we shall see lol I have my work cut out for me with that youngest child 😂

Journal of the Scotts: Success in life for me isn’t anyone accomplishment. Overall just want the best for friends, family, and feel good about the fun I had on the ride of life. For shows have you seen “Our Father” on Netflix yet? Found my self like Luke Skywalker saying Nooooooo! Just when you think things are nuts it gets worse and worse. Great documentary and my only complaint is I feel like there are certain aspects they skipped over.

  • Brickitect - Reliable. If you're in my life, you know you can count on me. Your McDonald's story was very similar to ours this past weekend. We waited about 45 minutes for breakfast. So much for fast food! They had a sign up looking for help at $11 per hour. I guess you get what you pay for...or you don't.
  • Emile Nightshade - I would think it's loyalty. Growing up, I've always tried to be loyal to my friends. I was extremely introverted as a kid, and although I didn't always hang out with my friends, I tried to be there and offer support as best I could. Even though that bit me in the butt a few times in the past, I do still stay loyal to those close to me.
  • Carter Scottland Allen - My best friend, Daviana would say my best trait is probably my persistence and focus towards my dream job/goal. My videos are getting better, received my first 100 subs, just had my first of many Live Streams, Patreon coming soon, housing/job opportunities opening up in Atlanta! Life is good and I'm glad to have Builder Buds/Ronnie's Reflection to give me some company and focus while in my job that I'm not so much a fan of. Another great episode 👌🏻
  • Dr Greene - I'm hesitant to answer this week's question as I don't want to speak for other people. But, I would like to think that my mates see my helpfulness as my best trait. I try to always look out for those I work with or care about and help wherever I can whenever they've gotten a bit snowed under.
  • Kelly Daniels - I’m going to go with you think my best characteristic trait would be how giving I am. If you ask the girls they will say it’s how I take care of others. I guess both could go hand in hand. I live to help others, it’s both a blessing and a curse. 😅

Brickitect: My advice would be to avoid going into debt unless it is necessary (house, car, college, etc) and to do everything you can to pay your debt off as quickly as possible.  I recommend following the advice of Dave Ramsey. Secondary advice: Always have a goal you are working toward. Figure out what you want most in life and take steps to get it. Time and pressure baby!

Miguel Leger: My advice would be the same as Palpatine... Dew it! Whatever it is you want to do. Dew it!

Kelly Daniels: There will always be users. I’m honestly surprised you engaged with it and pretty sad I missed it. I vote ignore it in the future.

What is something funny that has happened to you?

Dr. Greene: There was a mildly humorous tale which gave me my scar on my forehead. It was break time in my first year of Infants School (aged 4/5) and I was having a race on the school playground. For some reason during this race, I decided not to turn around a corner and instead ran at full speed into a fence. This was an entirely wooden fence except for a couple of metal bars which supported a gate. Of course, it was the metal bar which I had to run into. I completely cut open my forehead and was bleeding enough to warrant a trip to the hospital. Rather than calling an ambulance, the school decided to phone my Mum to take me to A&E. My Mum was at work at the time and could not drive so she needed to phone my Nan to pick her up. However, my Nan also doesn't drive and my Grandad was also at work so my Nan had to phone my Aunt for a lift. So my Aunt picked up my Nan then my Mum and then me and we finally made it to the hospital. No serious damage was done other than a bloody school uniform and a lasting story.

Richard Mincey: My most embarrassing and Hilarious story is, when my best friend Ed and I went to use the bathroom, at a local Mexican restaurant. Somebody was using the stall and we were using the urinals. Homeboy in the stall let out a tiny fart. Edward looked at me and said in a lady voice ooooh. We both busted out laughing, pee went everywhere. I don’t know if you tried peeing while laughing but it’s hard lol. I ran out of that bathroom crying laughing, then ran back in because I forgot to wash my hands. Seriously could not stop laughing, the whole time we were there.

Kelly Daniels: I give up… my funny isn’t PG enough 😑

Carter Scottland Allen: Too many embarrassing moments

-ran into a dump truck on a bike + got concussed

-2nd degree burn on my feet and butt from a bathtub

-Stitches from scooter hitting me in eyebrow

-Mascot fight with another Mascot (Potato vs Eagle)

Emile Nightshade: A few years ago, I had an unfortunate accident with our cat. My wife and I had turned in for the night and I was apparently sound asleep. Now, our cat slept with us in bed and she’d normally be calm, however, on this particular night, she wasn’t. My wife was trying to get our cat to calm down and settle in. After a lot coaxing, my wife decided to pull her closer (our cat was pretty cool with us manhandling her), yet this time, she wasn’t and she started backing away from my wife. The more my wife struggled to pull her closer, the further our cat backed away. She backed up so much that she rear-ended my face with her butt. Her tail did not cushion the collision of butthole and nose as that was up in the air like a radio antenna. Naturally, I woke up from this with a weird smell in my nose and the first thing I asked was: “Why do I smell sh*t?”

  • Our Brick Life (Martyn): I'd say my interesting talent is having the skills to be a steam locomotive fireman! (I think you call them the engineer over the pond). This involves bringing the loco 'to life' from cold, cleaning and prepping it for the day, and once in steam shovelling coal, filling the tanks with water, and managing the water and steam levels in the boiler, as well as bring a second pair of eyes for the driver, all whilst travelling along the line on the front of a train full of passengers!
  • Slippery Bricks: You literally made me pause the video to see if I can perform your skill. Failed 😂. One interesting skill I have is singing the alphabet backwards. Useless skill I say but a fun one. Up to today I don't know anyone around me that can do it. Or they're just being secretive.
  • Emile Nightshade: So, my serious skill is being able to create and write a story around anything. I've been able to do that since high school. As for a funny skill (it's more quirky than funny, I guess) is being able to remember film related facts and trivia and never being able to forget it. If only this worked when I was in school...Also, I was expecting a heavier fart sound. Those little toots nearly killed me! 😂😂😂
  • Carter Scottland Allen: my interesting skill...YouTube Carter's Mouth Trick...should be the 7th video. It's like 10 seconds long...enjoy 😂 once again another great podcast.
  • Kelly Daniels: As for my talent, I’m pretty talented at teaching lego how to fly by means of breaking them…😁 you are welcome
  • Brickitect: I love hearing about your reselling activities. So glad to see you making some serious bucks on whatnot and pushing forward with thrifting and flipping. You’re going to crush that debt and what you said about having options is absolutely true. I’m glad you kept the last part about the Beckett situation and I can confirm as a dad we have all been there. At least I have. It sucks and you feel bad, but everything including parenting (and reselling) is a learning experience and we get better as we go. Listener Feedback - Make up a popcorn flavor

Dr. Greene: When looking for a new flavour of anything, I always go with sweet chili. I've had some sweet chili popcorn crisps before but never found any proper popcorn with that flavour.

Richard Mincey: Dude I would be totally down for some McDouble popcorn…You should definitely check out the show sweet tooth on Netflix it’s amazing. “On a perilous adventure across a post-apocalyptic world, a lovable boy who’s half-human and half-deer searches for a new beginning with a gruff protector.”

Our Brick Life: This week, I tried Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar flavoured popcorn, which wasn't too bad. We have a bag of salt and chilli flavour to try too! But if I were to try something different I'd quite like strawberries and cream flavour!

Carter Scottland Allen: New flavor of popcorn would be a muddy buddy flavor which probably already exists. I'm not huge on popcorn but I like me some muddy buddies

  • Kelly Daniels: I don’t care to go backstage at a concert anymore. I’d much rather just be in the crowd, with you, watching Chris, Tades, Ryan and Brandon on stage. Preferably playing Oldsmobile, Shaylee, Shanel, and Princess Peach.
  • Carter Scottland Allen: I would also pick Blink-182 with the original lineup. I was lucky enough to see them in my high school hometown which happens to be a very small city. So I got a poster with my hometown of Ridgefield Washington and blink both on it which was really cool. While we were waiting for the concert to start Mark came out and just started walking through the crowd and talking to everybody waiting so my siblings my girlfriend and I all got to see Mark and very briefly talk to him. I sincerely regret not getting a picture. If Mark Tom and Travis get back together again you can bet I will be buying tickets to that show or multiple.
  • Dr. Greene: The band I would go backstage with is Bon Jovi, mainly just to meet Jon himself. Definitely my favourite band, not a song from them that I dislike. I find Jon's voice just so uplifting, always seems to cheer me up. It's also got that pseudo-cowboy vibe.
  • Emile Nightshade: Now, if there's one band I could go backstage, it would be any Linkin Park show. I've been a fan of theirs since 2000, and despite all the other bands I listen to, I keep going back to their music.
  • Journal of the Scotts: I’m going back stage with Nine Inch Nails, Daft Punk, and Chemical Brothers for sure.
  • Richard Mincey: Dude I’m going backstage to hootie and the blowfish. I only wanna be with youuuu! By the way those 3 movies are ok but I’ll name you 3 better. Goofy movie, heavyweights, and surf ninjas.

Listener Feedback Question of the Week - All Things Death Our Brick Life: I think I'm with you, though, that I would not want to die by fire. As for being 'Lord Business', I think we all go through the same dilemma and it's a fine balancing act. I've been there and I know that feeling.

Slippery Bricks: I seriously don't know how I'd like to choose to die but I definitely agree with you on the fire as that is a no no. The one I don't want is where you're being burned alive like in the show Midnight Mass when the sun comes out. That gave me chicken skin watching it haha.

Kelly Daniels: •My worst fear is being trapped inside Something and drowning… such as driving a car in the rain and hydroplaning off a bridge and into water and being stuck inside while it fills up with water and drowning. I’d prefer to die in my sleep. Go to sleep, dream something happy, and just not wake up. My funeral, can be anywhere. I’m not too picky. I want there to be lots of good food for everyone to eat. I want everyone to talk about all of their favorite memories and maybe even go out and do one last good deed for me.

He's also someone I have a ton in common with and still love spending time with.I would probably bring some sort off ball as I feel like me and and my Dad could burn hours finding different games to play together. But I would definitely miss not being able to watch live sports and being able to talk to my other friends and family so a TV or Phone could also be a good option.
  • Richard Mincey: I would bring my wife and a plane. Just so my wife and I could spend some quality time together, and so I can show off my manly survival skills. Then we hop on the plane and go back to our wonderful son Noah. I’m not ready to leave my boy. He needs his daddy to help guide him in life, and build him up when he’s down.

5 Things Most People Like 👍 That I Don't Like 👎

Carter Allen

  • Ryan Reynolds...okay I don't dislike him he's just a little played out.

Dr. Greene

  • Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I always see this at the top of any ranking lists for the MCU but, for me, it's at the bottom. I think the "twists" are way too predictable and I just find the movie boring.

Slippery Bricks

C&D Builds: I definitely think I've found myself being more authentic recently due to rekindling of old hobbies (Lego) and being in a job that I don't like (arborist) has pushed me to work my hardest on the things I do like.

Kelly Daniels: I’m not sure I embrace my true self in the way you do. I give almost all of me to everyone else. It makes me happy to make others happy, but it’s also incredibly draining when you are the one that shoulders the care taking roll. I need to do better about doing for me more.

Dr. Greene: I feel like I've always been quite good at accepting my authentic self. Always had a firm idea about my interests and who I want to be. Only time I would say that wobbled a little bit was at school, but then it was more a matter of hiding some of my geekiness rather than giving up on it.

Listener Feedback - One thing you hope everyone remembers about you

Brickitect: I suppose the thing I would like to be remembered for is being the guy that pursued his passion and found success in just being himself and doing what brings him happiness. I hope to be remembered by the people that I convinced to do the same.

Kelly Daniels: When I’m gone, I hope people always remember me for showing up, picking up the pieces when your world falls apart, being an anchor and a protector. I also hope they continue my day of good deeds every year on my birthday. I don’t think there would be a better way to celebrate me.

Slippery Bricks: I guess one thing I want people to remember me for is my willingness to help people. I came to realize a good portion of my life is dedicated to volunteering myself out there in the community whether in past organizations I did volunteer work in or on the personal level. Somehow using my own ability to help others around me brings a great deal of satisfaction.

Emile Nightshade: I don't care whether people remember me for the content I make, but I like to be remembered as someone who was kind to everyone. My folks taught me to always be friendly towards every person I meet in life, and I've done that every day. I see so many people walking around with sour demeanors while some people are just nasty towards everyone around them. I might be naïve for thinking this, but there is so much pain and suffering in the world, and if we project that onto those around us, where’s the hope for us?

Dr. Greene: For the thing I want people to remember about me the most, I'd say my positive attitude. Whenever there's a bad situation, I'm always looking for that silver lining and I very rarely allow myself a bad day (a couple of times a year, mainly when I'm ill). I don't want people to remember that just for vanity's sake, though, but because I want it to rub off on the people I'm around. I want to use my positive attitude to cheer other people up when they're feeling down.

What is your favorite core memory from your childhood?

Dr. Greene

I think my core childhood memories would be the time I spent with my grandfather while growing up. That time more or less shaped me into who I am today. He's always pushed me to be the best I possibly can and he introduced me to some of my biggest passions. We still have endless conversations discussing the latest LEGO sets or Lord of the Rings lore or theories about the Fantastic Beasts movies. I'm fortunate that he was quite young when I was born so I still have many more years with him in my life but I fear I will lose part of myself when he finally does depart. He is certainly one of the people I cherish most in my life and one of the biggest influencers into shaping the man I have become.

Richard Mincey

My favorite childhood memory was riding the bus home from school on Friday, and telling my best friend Dane. If he asks my mom if I can spend the night, there’s no way she can say no to him. Then staying up late Friday night eating pizza, and playing lord of the rings return of the king on GameCube. Waking up Saturday morning going out into the woods. Pretending to be Legolas and Aragorn, and recreating all the sword fights in lord of the rings.

Slippery Bricks

A core memory of my childhood is having a good friend to play with since he lives across the street from me and we went to the same school together. Whenever there's a reason his brother and himself couldn't go home right away after school (either they forgot their house key or the parents aren't home), they come over to my place to hang out. We quickly finish our homework so we have more time to play. As we got a little bit older, more fun comes. During one summer, they used to come over to my house and swim in my pool. Afterwards, I go to their house and play games on the PlayStation 2 and Gamecube. A very memorable game was Stuntman. We enjoy taking turns beating the levels. Such great times.

Excellent video Ronnie! Really enjoyed every minute of it. I too loved the days of scholastic books when I was in school. Having to place your order and then the teacher comes into the classroom with the package of books the students bought, waiting for your name to be called to get your books was a great memory.

Dr Greene

Another great episode Ronnie.

Love the new segment at the start, gets me thinking about what my answer might be. It wasn't as perspective-altering as yours but I would have to go with The Equation That Couldn't Be Solved by Mario Livio. It's a non-fiction book which introduced me to Group Theory at age 17, something I later went on to specialise my Math degree in. I have no practical use for any of that gained knowledge but it really focused the direction I wanted to take my studies. Looking forward to next week's big question to ponder.

I love to reflect but sometimes I don't know what to reflect about. Enter the amazing Chad Littlefield and the Guided Journal that he and his team have created! Each week, I will sit down confessional style and do a (hopefully) one take audio journal that I will share on my channel in a new series I like to call, Ronnie's Reflections. If you want to pick up a copy of the journal for yourself, they are available on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0932M2RV3?... I paid for my journal and I am not receiving any compensation for doing this. I just like Chad and believe in the stuff he is putting out into the world. Please share your own reflections with me! I'd love to share them on a future episode if you would allow me to do so :) Enjoy!

I like that Brickitect guy so I thought I'd write him a theme song since I had so much fun creating my own.

I had a lot of fun making this and I thought I'd include it in the podcast feed.
