We've all heard, "Let Go & Let God". It seems simple but for some reason it's the hardest thing to do.

Listen as Nicole chats with Regina Baker, the author of "Let Go & Let God".

Letting go means to “cast all your cares” to God. In other words, you’ve done all you could do on your own to save your marriage, mend a broken relationship, find the right job and so many other things. We hold on to things that we have absolutely no control over however, the most important aspect, is do we REALLY want to let go or are we just saying something and not really meaning what we say?

Kenny Smith - Transformation is not just the title of his new record; it reflects the artist’s new outlook, primarily due to experiencing a miraculous healing. “When My Life, His Lyrics was released, I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer,” recalls Kenny.  The day that the album came out, my physician was uncomfortable with my test results and decided to do a biopsy. When I went back to the doctor, they saw where the previous 25 spots had been, but the cancer itself was gone. I refused to believe that God had brought me to a place of understanding Him to simply take me out of here. It was simply a miracle.” | www.KennySmithMusic.com

Shelita Winfield - A survivor of my own bad choices. From the age of 13 until my 30's, I made poor choices which undervalued my worth as a woman and child of God. I allowed multiple abortions and men to be my guilt trip. Professionally, I was successful. I had completed my undergraduate and  graduate degree but personally, I was broken. It wasn't until the death of my infant son and divorce from a cheating spouse that I realized I deserved more. I began the process of forgiveness and set myself free that held me hostage for over 20 years. I went from broken to brilliant and now I'm walking in the greatness that God placed in me. Shelita is a Certified Christian Life Coach at www.shewinunlimited.com

As a mother and divorcee, Danita discovered she has talents in many arenas, but her one passion that can be found in everything she does, is helping others. Writing became a way to get what she was thinking and experience out, in a healthy way and at the same time help or inspire others. It has been the encouragement of her close circle of friends and family that kept her blogging, but it was a God inspired vision that gave her the clearance and purpose to write "God, Love, & Divorce".

Black Wall Street: The Money, The Music & The People

Black Wall Street is a docu-short film which seeks to highlight the remarkable, yet forgotten story of the historic Negro neighborhood, Jackson Ward in Richmond, Virginia. Dubbed “the Black Wall Street” by economists of the early 20th Century because of its economic and financial prowess in a day and age when people of color were deemed incapable of being anything other than a waste of space, the “city within a city” was the epicenter of Negro life and entertainment boasting claim to such memorable and notable daughters and sons as Maggie L. Walker, the first Negro (black) woman to own a bank, and entertainer extraordinaire, Bill “Bojangles” Robinson. The film also seeks to highlight the value of this historic neighborhood as rich material for fiction.

Emotional abuse is sometimes labeled as the worst type of abuse. Leaving no evidence or scars, it can be the most devastating. Growing up our elders would say, "sticks and stones may break our bones but names will never hurt me." I strongly disagree. What someone says to us will play over and over in our head. It only stops when we take control over our thoughts and what we allow to stay.

Rev. Glenda G.Paris Kelly knows first hand about emotional abuse. At the age of  7 negative words were sown in her life.

All her life she she fought hard to prove people wrong. It wasn't about where she lived and what she had. It was about who she was as an individual and the content of her heart. Today, Glenda is an accomplished journalist, writer, artist and Woman of God. She has a passion for people and it shows.
